Brandon turned me on to that IKV fusion too and I gotta say its a good one. That is the carto in my post on the Drip tips...

oops correction that was an 801 mega. I did notice something on it tonight. I was vaping an older bottle of Drewbacco 2 and was enjoying it then I tasted the same thing in my wifes ego low res cone atty and wow. Umm I have to say hers had a completely different flavor and was actually what I remember the Drewbacco tasting like. The 801 had a very different flavor. She tasted mine and did not like it... I am going to have to do some more taste testing.

Well, I was wondering how a group of Darwin owners would tell their devices apart...Lowboy's onto something. Time to go rhinestone shopping!

I'll go with you... ;)

(Been away only since last nite and now have to catch up here!)

We spent that same money on analogs without ever even thinking about it!

Or talking about it, or having fun buying them, or having something exquisite. Or having others get excited about it! Just the same ol' 4 cartons of cigs all the time. Yes, I said 4. I could not be without less. Did someone say paranoia?

Just thought I might chime in on the earlier discussion about LR attys (especially the LR 801) and Darwin.

Many, not everyone, know that the intention behind the LR attys is to "simulate" HV vaping on 3.7 volt devices. Without getting into a discussion about ohms law, "simulate" roughly stated means: imitate the appearance or character of. They are intended to imitate the HV experience. As to how well they "imitate" is a different discussion and very subject to personal opinion. But, they are intended to be used at 3.7 volts. Using the gross Watts estimation of Volts squared and divide by Ohms (or VxV/R=Watts): 3.7v X 3.7v/1.5=9.12 watts. 3.7v X 3.7v/1.7ohms=8.05 watts

So trying to get low watts from an LR atty requires volts lower than they are intended to be used and lower than most devices (including Darwin) are designed to operate. For example, if you want 6 watts from an LR atty of 1.7 ohms you would need 3.2 volts: 3.2V X 3.2v/1.7=6.02 watts. Similarly, if using a 1.5 ohms LR atty and you want 6 watts you need only 3 volts: 3v X 3v/1.5=6 watts

Again, the purpose of LR attys is to "simulate"=imitate HV vaping. Imitation, while a great form of flattery, is still imitating. With Darwin, you have full range so no need to imitate when you have the real thing. Using standard ohms attys (any model be that 510 @ 2.5 ohms or 901s and/or 801s @ 3+ohms) gives you a much broader range of vaping experiences and obtainable watts.

Lastly, the LR 801s - well, I am a big fan of 801 style attys - and quickly becoming a fan of the newer 801 cartos as well. Any who have seen my posts may know my preferred atty is the Joye 302 (with "right" airflow - accomplished {IMHO} with stealth 510/801 adapter). 302 is an 801 style and standard is 3.1 ohms. I have tried both LR SLB 801s and LR Joye 302s and will probably never purchase any more of them. I just do not like them - probably my worst LR vaping experiences. Personally (always subjective), I am not a fan of LR attys and cartos in any model. I find the coil heats too fast and while they may "simulate"/imitate HV vaping experience - to my tastes, they do not duplicate the HV experiences.

While the watts may be watts, I find the flavor more full and the vapor richer in HV. Of course we are likely to all have our individual preferences. Some juices and some model attys may have different "happy spots" and we "Darwinians" know how easy it is to play and hone in on each. As a fairly dedicated tobaccos and tobacco menthols vapor, I pretty much find my "happy place" at 8.5 watts on my 3.1 ohms Joye 302 attys. Using the new 801 cartos, and depending on the juice, I sometimes find my way up to as high as 10.2 watts.

Of course, all of this is subjective to your personal tastes and preferences so any claims of what is "best" are a matter of that person's personal preferences and yours may well differ. Hope this is somehow helpful.

Happy :vapor:

VERY helpful. Thank you!

Ok, when I met up with Brandon yesterday, he was using an IKV fusion (have that right, Brandon?).

Brandon turned me on to that IKV fusion too and I gotta say its a good one. That is the Atty in my post on the Drip tips...

Actually those were 801 mega cartos bought from Nhaler 801 Mega Cartomizers Drew turned me on to them and I haven't used anything else since :)

OK Darwin family, I need some help here. I've only been vaping for 2.5 months and I'm bored. I can't seem to find a large variety of flavors that I like to vape. Mad Hatter Smooth is the only flavor I can use as an all day vape. And seeing that I've been using it as an all day vape for over a month now, its really starting to wear thin. In the evenings (after vaping Mad Hatter Smooth all day) I usually switch over to Green Apple or Watermelon just to be vaping something different. And those are the only 2 flavors that I seem to enjoy, but I can only tolerate those for a short time.

I have purchased so many other flavors that I tried once and didn't like. It seems that the sweet/desert/candy flavors are not in line with my taste buds. Fruity flavors (other than Green Apple and Watermelon) just don't seem to taste right. I have not been a fan of tobacco flavors, although Mad Hatter Smooth is a tobacco flavor. So maybe I just haven't tried the right tobacco flavors. I bought Boba's because everyone kept telling me how good it was. And ummmm- not a fan, tastes like a wet dish towel to me LOL

I'm starting to think I need to just buy some unflavored juice and live with that (boring).

Oops, worried I got that wrong...now I have to shop again? I never liked cartos before...maybe its the difference between the 510 (which I always used previously) and the 801? I only started to move away from 510 recently...now how to explain to hubby that I 'need' 801 megas?? I'm going to have grab a 'secret' cc, LOL!

Thank you for the correction!

N2r - maybe this is not the suggestion you want to hear but I will throw it out there anyway ---- DIY. I was always searching for a flavor that hit the spot and spent big $$$$$$$ on many juices. If you can make a mixed drink you can do the DIY thing. The beauty of it is you can make anything you can dream up and flavors are really cheap. After the intial outlay for startup you will see you costs plummet and there is a lot of satisfaction in vaping a juice you make yourself. Additionally you control all variables.

N2rock, I was also going to suggest an RY4. I really liked the "like smoke" from Cignot, and I love love love my Taboo (Liquid Xpress). I give you credit for vaping the same flavor all day! I usually change up within an hour, but then again I love the sweet flavors and have so much juice to use up. Another good one you might want to try is Cherry Cigar (Good Prophets).

Have you tried an ry4?? That is my go to sorta tobacco. It's Def tobacco-ish, but very slightly sweet. Ive only had it through one vendor, so I have no idea how different/similar it is across the vendors.

I've tried a couple rye4's. But they weren't anything that grabbed me. But I ordered another one today (from Blue Mist) because I've heard it tastes different than others. So gonna give that a shot.

Did you have this same problem when smoking analogs?
I've noticed most smokers usually buy only 1 brand and flavor and rarely tried something else.
Vaping has definitely opened up many possibilities in that regard.
