Well, its means if I screw on my atty carelessly and with force, I feel like I could break off the whole arm (i.e overtighten, and then have problems unscrewing it) Also I don't want any crossthreading to occur.. But I guess the brass arm is a little loose..it wiggles a little bit.. Maybe I could tighten the screws?! But it all works now.. Don't wanna fix what ain't broken :)

Taken from the manual: Please note that the Atomizer connection is made of a soft
(brass) and can be become cross- threaded. Take care whe
attaching new atomizers to avoid this from happening.
All this makes me things the the whole brass arm is a fragile and you want to be careful when attaching/detaching attys/cartos and adapters :)

Ic, if you tighten the screws to stop the wiggle of the ARM, take care, the screws are brass and can strip a bit easier than some.

Got ya, the screws seem very tight anyway.. I just tried to screw them a little tighter being very gentle, and they didn't bulge.. So that's that :)

... As a rule I only allow myself to replace 1 per day with a fresh one. So in actuality I have probably been vaping on the one I change out for a week or more by the time I actually change it.

...Plus with my MAP tanks I have only been replacing one regular carto per week. I have not stopped buying the regular supply of about 30 per month though. Stocking up on empties can never be a bad thing.

Good system. Besides just loathing the idea of fill, one of the things that made me want to run from cartos was cleaning them. This go-round I'm also sticking with a carto or two per flavor and just refilling. If they get funky then I'm throwing them away. I'm on my second week with three. Am I worried about germs? OF COURSE I AM because I always am but I also notice how well the fill absorbs and I'm not hearing that carto crackle as I vape.

Are those the bags you got from a quilting place? They are absolutely perfect!

well looks like its 10 watts for now w/ a 3.5Oohm atty.. Really really, nice... Had to get used to the fact that Volts do not matter anymore...

Def a lot of better than the ProVari on so many levels.. Love the fact you can just lay it flat on the table :) Battery life... well you know its amazing.. have yet to drop a single bar..

Drip shield looks amazing w/ it... IMO just gotta be careful when screwing on all those things.. the brass arm does seem to be fragile, but I have no problems treating that part with care :)

A+ device.

Like CG said, the arm is not fragile. It may seem loose and like it will fall off but the arm is machined to fit into the case. You would have to break the case to get it out. Well if you take the screws out it will come out. I do not recommend that tho.

well, we are going to have to agree to disagree. IMO the arm is fragile. If you like you can send me your Darwin, and I will demonstrate how easy it is to break the arm. If you take the Darwin, put it flat on table, then have the atty sitting upright, perpendicular to the Darwin, and pull on the atty (opposite of how it swivels), the arm will break. That is my definition of fragile as it pertains to the Darwin.

And I'm not bashing the Darwin at all, but the arm is the weakest link in the Darwin, and IMO you gotta be careful with it.

There's only one other aspect I'm wondering about; you can't tell the Ohms, Amps, and Voltage unless you activate the atty. And since most of us are actually are taking a hit while activating the atty, or at least I do, I can't read the various numbers.

Again not a big deal, just my observation.

I prefer the Darwin over any other mods I currently own or previously owned, and that says a lot. It's near perfect.

Been using it since last night non stop, and a single bar has yet to drop. Amazing. It's by far the best mod I own or have owned.

Good Job Evolv!! I'm very much looking forward to your next 2 devices!!!

So what you are saying is, you could rip the atty threads out of the arm.....Naturally that's the weakest point on any PV. People have broken off cartos at the threads inside the ProVari also. It's been mentioned numerous times. But I find it hard to believe you are going to actually snap the 1/2"+ solid brass arm.

Actually I just got some new bags from the same place I get my Blue Dropper bottles from. The ones I bought are 3" x 12" long. Too long so I used my bag sealer and made them shorter to be just right.

That was what I was trying to say. You'll break the case before you break the arm off.

Ok, after a more thorough examination, I can see what you guys were trying to say and agree; the case would break before the arm would.

Now, the reason I said what I did, was because my brass arm has some wiggle to it. It's just a tiny bit, but it was enough for me to think this could break if careless.

Thanks for setting the record straight.

Back from the mountain and what a day 60 degrees and huge moguls. Darwin did great. Got popped by NY's finest for no inspection on the way home. Who knew it was three months overdue:) Anyway the cup holders in the Accord were filled with a Vari (a Map tank attached), Reo mini and Provape-1. Darwin was in my lap when he came to the car. Not to mention the two carry cases filled with juice, cartos and batts. Even dropped my knife on the floor while reaching for the registration. He never said a word. I do think he wanted to try the Drawin cause he gave that a double take. So I will donate to the NY tax coffers by paying $75 for no inspection. Beats what I was paying them to smoke thats for sure.

Happy to hear you had a great day, besides the ticket, of course :)

Have you gotten a hold of the holiday inn? Tried to get a room there for the days I'm in town, but they were booked! Something going in toga that weekend?

Will call them tomorrow and let you and SK know. If they do not want to work with us will pick another spot. Did you find a room somewhere????
