Psst, VW mod :)

There is a manual but as you said, doesn't give you anything that you don't already know. Attach atty, add juice, adjust voltage according to preference, vape. Plug in to charge. Battery doesn't like getting completely drained, so unless you use an atty/carto that drains it quickly and requires a charge during the day, plugging it in at night works perfect for me.

Welcome to the club rustybikes (now to be know as RB). One thing Krisb and others forgot is the most important, make sure you lift the arm up :). Happy vapes and let us know how your first night sleeping with the Darwin works out.

Hey folks..

Just a quick post to say that my D'win arrived today! Already, I can see an evening spent playing with this thing. Good thing I've got some blank juice (80/20 PG/VG) to play with right away. Otherwise, I would become a research monkey this evening. I can already feel/taste the difference at different target wattages. It'll get more interesting to add flavour to the equation. With my first initial test, I was able to sense what the differing heat levels do to them. This thing absolutely rocks!!

Couple questions, already, though... The box didn't come with a user manual. Not like I really need one; this thing is so darn simple to drive. Is there a .pdf posted somewhere that I've (clearly) missed?

Currently, I've got it plugged in to charge, using the supplied wall-wart. With a standard USB-miniUSB (not micro, natch) cable, is it safe to charge this thing by plugging into my Mac? I seem to recall that the answer is yes, but I'm not terribly enthused to fry my 'book with it. That would be... unwise.

Thanks again to Drew and company for bringing us quite possibly the most advanced VV mod currently available. I love you guys!!

I have read over and over in posts that it is not a great idea to charge a PV on your computer. I often do, but I need a new computer! :) I don't have a definite answer but veering toward the side of safety for your Mac, perhaps don't.

Poor Chornbro. You really got "corrected" by quite a few of us today! And you used a new word in our English language. ("meh")

Just call it a Darwin. There is nothing like it. :)

I am looking for the red .... hat in that new avi but alas it must have been miss placed again.

Hey KD I have been charging my Darwins off the USB for months without any issues. For me if it did fry I really do not care since work would replace it. Maybe someone could chime in on the current draw of the darwin while charging but as far as I know I think you are good to go off a USB.

Constantly up huh??? Yours must be made for the ladies. Mine is down once in awhile when I put it in my pocket or computer bag.

Hey Chornbro (aka CB) you need to fix your tag line, I do not see DARWIN (yes it should be in caps) there.

It's on my to-do list... haha... it'll be there soon : )

I'm already a fanboy... and a total snob... I searched for "Pro**ri" here on ECF... barged into every thread I found and told them about the Lord Darwin... That there was another way, they didn't have to live that way any longer... repent your sins and join us...

Sorry, I think thats the nic talking

Although CB the Vari is a great MOD too. I have the Provape and the Vari and both are solid. I have also collected various other MODs but the Darwin is the only high end unit that I own two of. In daily rotation is of course the Darwins, followed by the grand and mini, a VPX tank on the Vari brings it when kicking back in the lazy boy and I still hit the Provape with a Cisco 306 and a nHaler colored and twisted DT. I like a little variety.
