I has mine, it is the awesome, but there is no squiggly Darwin signature on the front, just the atomic thingie and the Evolv on the back.

I'm sitting amid a pile of previously indistinguishable atomizers putting them in little baggies by Ohms. :)

Jen

Jen, there's no scrawl on mine either. I don't care either. I'm about to brew a cuppo , watch Cypress' video and then do an atty sort too. No more watching those damn multimeter numbers jump all over the place. Woo hoo! I am LOVING this!! I surely get what Drew meant when he said it hit like a brick. Wowza!

Woo-hoo SK..it wasn't a celebration til you showed up! I think I'm vaping into overdose territory here....I am going through every atty, carto, clearo and tank...on a mission to find one that doesn't taste "right". I just finished some Bobo's Bounty at 12.7W! Which was 7.3V and a 4.0ohm HV atty. I have never vaped at 7+ before and actually enjoyed it! That was amazing! although not something I'll do every day..

Why, thank you, Cuse. The only thing that kept me semi-coherent in those meetings was knowing I'd be able to come and share the joy of holding onto a Darwin...finally And, um, shouldn't you be busily contacting Drew about getting one for the Missus? :)

I saw a couple folks say the MAP muted flavors and I didn't really think so. Wellll...I had some Fruit Stripe Gum and, honestly, wondered why people raved about it. I vape it when I just want vapor and find lime to be the predominate flavor over a gum tasting base. I get it now. WOW! Here I thought it was relatively decent and now I'm getting a nicotine buzz I'm vaping it so much! Can't wait to try Bavarian Bean.

So far I've tried MAPs at 2.8 (which read out at 2.9, btw) and 3.2 with my daily cigar vape. Excuse me while I get a hankie... Sniff...I love this mix of Havana cigar and menthol and may be the only one who does. On the Darwin its a whole new level of magnificent. Good thing I have two more bottles coming!

Every hit has been the same and I know those with VVs have had something like this because of the regulators or whatever but it's new to Sewknitty and I know it's somehow 'better' on the Darwin. :) My atty connector seems just fine but I immediately connected the 510-510 Drew sent along with it just to be cautious (me...cautious...this really has been a strange day!). The switch is fine and dandy, easy to depress, doesn't cause me to accidentally rotate the dial. And, about the dial, I can move it in .1 increments. I merely apply pressure and think "Move forward" or "Move backwards" and it works. I'll update Drew and Evolv to put that in an updated owner's manual. I haven't gone far beyond like 7.5ish yet but...baby steps! It was thrill enough vaping that 2.0 ohm Cisco at 4.2 and 4.4v. Good stuff!

:vapor: I'm happy...very happy. :vapor:

Got mine this morning and I'm in California. My has the Darwin Sig on it and I am able to fire it both right and left sign of the button. First off I wanted to know when the handle is turned down is the device suppose to turn off? I thought thats what everyone said, Otherwise how do I know when its off. I am very please with the vapor production on all of my atomizers with this miracle device. I am using one of the Good Prophets 510-510 adaptor since the one that was sent with it didn't work. I then start reading the threads and it stated I needed to remove the center post(we do that later). I have tried everything on this device and I am WOWED with how all my atomizers from 4081,401,901,801,510's, KR 808, CE2 Clear Carts and Ego Mega cart, they all work fantastic. The only thing I need to figure out is which one I am going to use. This is so much fun, I am going to be sick from vaping since this morning, haha.

So could you guys get back to me on whether the device is suppose to turn off.

Oh yeah, man. I'm here... peering through the vapor at the screen! On board right now is Kretek + Menthol in a CE2 reading out at 2.9 ohms (I'm loving this) and set at 5.3 which equals 4.0 volts. For me, a LR atty on a big 3.7v battery does not a high voltage experience make. Only high voltage equals...well, you get it. Yet, here I am, vaping at 4.0 volts and it's kickin'! Are you experiencing the same thing, Cuse?

The CE2 is wicking properly too. I am so impressed! Oh, and I didn't say anything about the looks of this thing. Its...utilitarian looking only you'd be hard pressed to tell what its for. Could be something a doctor would have...or it could be holding 10,000 songs. I LIKE it. It doesn't fit into the case I carry my backup PVs in but it does fit into the Homedics case for diabetic supplies. I'm so afraid. Afraid my other PVs will get lonely!

Hey, how do I charge this in the car? I got this but the only mini usb cable I have (that I haven't run over with my chair) is for my Blackberry. Can I use that?

Congrats, Andel! Been too busy vapin' to tell us sooner, huh? You are forgiven. I'm about to go missing for a bit while I play with this myself.

Yes, I believe off is when the arm is down. I thought it went down enough with a MAP tank to turn off but the screen still shows a display so I guess it doesn't. I wonder what that'll do for the battery life but, since I'll probably be vaping close to 24/7 for a few days I'll figure it out later. :)

I didn't have to remove a center post. Fortunately Drew's adapter worked for me and I purchased a COV 510-510 (a beauty - looks like a stainless atty) just in case. So far I haven't removed it simply because I'm afraid of cross threading. It was a little touch-y getting it screwed in so now I just leave it on and even screw my 510-801 stealth adapter into it.

What's your favorite juice so far with it?

Yeah, I'm looking at my other PV's going "you're really nice but you just can't do what this can" On the cord thing,,,,As long as it's a USB to mini-USB cord, it will work. The Ego passthrough cord is what I'm gonna use.

Does anyone know what type of battery chemistry/battery protection is inside the Darwin?
I knows it's an 1800mah LiPo battery but beyond that....nope.

Yes, when the handle is turned down (parallel to the Darwin unit's body), it's in off position. You'll be able to tell based on the LCD display turning off.

I know common sense says Tasty Vapor juice with dairy flavoring should steep but I'm vaping a fresh out of the box custom mix of Bananas Foster in a 2.4 (actually reading at 2.6 ohm - still loving this!) CE2 and enjoying the taste and - I swear - the texture of banana...not banana candy but actual banana. I'M IN LOVE!!! Sometimes these cartos can run hottish, possibly due to the coil being so high up, 306 style, but being able to dial down the voltage really creates a sweet spot. So very nice! I think this is what's going in the mini tank. Gonna need more!

As I heft it in my hand to wipe the juice smear off the screen I think I really could hammer nails with this. Well, that alone justifies this purchase!

Personally, I can't wait to get my second one...

I was thinking the same thing, I always have to have 2 of everything. Maybe I should I wait and see if they are going to change anything on it. This is one fantastic device. OH NO now what am I going to do with all those other PV's that I have(and I do have many). Thanks SewKitty and Darwinuser, so as long as the handle is down its off even though the display stays on. SewKitty my favorite jc so far(because its my fav anyway) is Drew HV Plain Tobacco on a 306 10.= 3.5 and Malboro on a 801 at 9.8=5.2, the flavors rocks on this device.

Hey now, Angus....some of us haven't gotten our first yet! LOL

Then you're really gonna be mad when I post pics of my second one. :)
It's special.

Even without the camo??

Yeah, giving up my Redneck Darwin sucked, but the old boy just couldn't do what the new ones can... like handle LR atties.

I beta tested it. The production model is soooooooo much nicer than my old beta unit. :)

I thought so. Did you have the engraved steel version at one point? I would love to get my hands on one of them. I know Mutt said they were heavy and bulky, but that he didn't mind them as much as other people did. I think they looked cool.
