I will say that my first Darwin had a very tough button! It actually hurt my finger to press down after awhile, think maybe a few escaped that way and since the one he used was borrowed from what I remember, could be an older one from that same batch. I didn't knock the Darwin because of it, I was reasonable enough to know that it was most likely an anomaly. (and, yes, it was)

Saved??? Someone said saved!!! Sure you can save money by vaping then there are those of us that this has become a hobby. When was the last time you were excited to buy a pack or carton of cigs? So for the price of about 2.5 cartons I can have a Darwin and that is so much more exciting.

2.5 cartons for a Darwin, ouch!! It would be easy to save money at those rates. Around here, it's more like 5 cartons for a Darwin.
But, then again, as you say, it's become a hobby for many. And as many hobbies go, they are like a money drain. But this one has many benefits as well.

Yeah BB $10.20 a pack here in good old NY! But on the brighter side that provides me with a lot of justification to buy MOD's and other supplies and say I would have spent it on smokes anyway. So every 16 days or so I could buy a Darwin (or spend $250 on other vaping supplies) and still break even. Plus I have a bunch of cool stuff intsead of empty packs and butts.

Real cigarettes are well over $10 a pack here now too, closer to $11 now actually. Between me and the woman, we spent probably $400-500 per month on smoking, and have spend probably a little over $1000 in vape supplies in almost 4 months. So yeah, we spend like crazy for a while, but once you find the juices and toys you like, the real cost savings occur during the rest of your smoke free natural life!

Quick math fun!

My habit at a pack a day, @10.50 a pack is $294 per month, $3528 per year, and eventually $35280 in 10 years.

So you may not break even right away, or even in the first year, but eventually you will catch up and this becomes a win!

That would make an interesting unit of measurement for us vapers, ski... "How many cartons does it take to...."

Exactly. It's funny the amount of posts I read about how expensive a Darwin is or some of the other top end MOD's. I think most people forget how much they were actually spending on smokes. At the end of the day that same amount of cash nets you a real cool toy that last way longer than 2 or 3 cartons of cancer sticks. In the case of the Darwin you also get the added bonus of having personal protection device. I imagine you could do some pretty hefty damage if you hit someone with this thing.
