Just got an Odysseus (Expansion set on the way)

By the way...My friend and I are working on an "S" connector (510- 510) for the Darwin arm to allow it to close with tanks. Not sure when i will have a mockup, and not sure how elegant it will be, but im gonna try my best to make something nice.

Just to add my

Darwin and Kick both have short circuit cut-off/protection to prevent over taxing the batteries. They both also have low battery cut-offs that stop the devices from function at very high/safe levels. Darwin also has smart-charge circuitry to prevent a possibility of over-charging the batteries - another safety feature.

We do not know the details of whatever happened and the media has been irresponsible in sensationalist reporting without getting (or reporting) the facts. Lets educate ourselves and vape smart - instead of propagating fear.

Cell phones have had battery problems and that does not stop people from using cell phones - it just incentivizes the industry to make cell phones safer. Cars have had stuck accelerator, other electrical problems and exploding gas tanks - that does not stop us from driving, it motivates technological and design improvements.

Whatever happened was very unfortunate and my heart goes out to any/all touched by those events. But lets try to keep things in perspective and not get wrapped up in irresponsible sensationalist reporting and/or perpetuating fear.

IE pretty sure the Darwin uses the same type of battery's as the iPhone. I Yahtzee heard of AK iPhone blowing up recently.

I was trying to say I'm pretty sure the Darwin uses the same battery as an I phone. And I have not heard of any iPhones blowing up in recent times. Sadly, this is too true. A couple of my co-workers brought up the recent incident to me today at break . . . up until today I didn't think the level of disapproval I receive there for my vaping could get any worse

Why so much disapproval, KJ? I always remind the not so well-wishers that I use an e cig to keep me from smoking cigarettes. Then they get all excited and say, "Wonderful! Do it!"

Because they all view e-cigs as quitting devices only (there are a few people who have used them solely for that purpose recently) and I'm still doing it a year later. Most of the people I work with are very closed-minded about everything, anyway, they just believe what they believe no matter what you say. Mostly they don't say anything anymore, but seeing the whole exploding e-cig thing on the news caused a few to bring it up.
