I would assume so. I doubt Brandon would refuse to service a unit unless the internals have been seriously messed with, which wouldn't be the case just from having the case removed and coated
You'll have to share some pictures when it's doneYes, powder coating the Darwin will void the warranty, however Brandon will still fix any issues for a fee. Those who know Brandon can imagine that fee would not be very high. I have mine in the chop shop right now getting her makeover. Chopper does amazing work!

I know someone already answered you but I can confirm that I heard Brandon will still work on the Darwin after it has been chopperized. I think what I might do is, wait until I get two before I chopperize a Darwin, but we will see how it goes. I guess I should just focus on getting the first one lol. When my warranty is up. I want to get this done. I wonder if Evolv would still work on the unit for a fee if it has been painted?

I do not speak for Evolv but I'd be careful about accepting other posts promising Evolv will service opened devices. Even if they do it once or twice (which I am not sure they have), could have been special circumstances, does not mean they will make it policy. As far as I know - the warranty policy has been opening a darwin voids the warranty. Nobody is "authorized" as far as I know and, also as far as I know, nobody is "authorized" to speak for Evolv as to what Evolv will and/or won't do. Not trying to be confrontational here - just concerned seeing people speaking/posting authoritatively about Evolv's services (especially when those promises are contra to policy) and other people relying on those promises. Sorry.
Well put, Nebula. I don't think any of us knew for sure, was just kind of speculating myself. I guess one of us needs to actually ask Brandon. It looks like Keeno volunteered!lol
From everything I have read in here, nobody said that the warranty would not be void, and I didnt see anyone make any promises. People were relaying info that they have heard, but you are correct when making a significant purchase like a Darwin, obviously you should go directly to the source.I do not speak for Evolv but I'd be careful about accepting other posts promising Evolv will service opened devices. Yes, but the discussion was about assuming the warranty was voided and then having Evolv service the painted Darwin for a fee, and I don't see why he wouldn't do it, unless upon receipt he sees it has been tampered with inside. A flat out no that he won't look at opened mods with the understanding that the warranty is void, I can't imagine.I do not speak for Evolv but I'd be careful about accepting other posts promising Evolv will service opened devices. well he has to open up the darwin to powder coat it, thats why there is the warranty issue, if the darwin is opened, warranty is void.
Whats up Darwinia? Long time no see! What'd I miss?! : )

Double Whoa!!! Congrats on your turning!Good question... What did you miss? I am not really sure to be honest because it has been a bit quiet here lately. I almost missed my veteran turning early this morning because I wasn't paying attention![]()
