Has anyone found a copper drip tip to match the darwin? I can only find chrome...
Sorry but nope. If they are coated, it was done 3rd party and they have been opened = voided warranty. Is there a way to powder coat a Darwin "thru the right channels" to keep the warranty? Saw one on the classies and I'm a little interested (if the warranty is still active and if I can change the color).
Thanks guys for respecting the Sub forum here, I appreciate that A LOT....I got a gold one from Keith (Empire Mods) at VapeStock and it looks pretty sweet...Got a drip tip to match...Thanks again,
Drew

That's what I was thinking. Someone mentioned (not the seller) that it was powder coated by 3rd party and assembled by evolv. I sensed it wasn't true when I saw the white spots in the paint that looked like bubbles over a white primer. I used to work in sheet metal so I'm used to seeing parts painted/anodized/powder coated. It didn't look right though so I didn't buy it.
I post in so many sections of ECF and a couple of other forums that I sometimes forget where I am, but I do try not to step on any toes when I can avoid it ;-) BTW, I ordered one of those twisted drip shields on my Nhaler order yesterday. Not that I need more drip shields, but I'm hoping they look as cool in person as in the pics. Actually dripping without one for a change right now and I keep making a mess![]()
two different people. it is a possibility that Jamie MIGHT have one of the very few that Evolv had done but I do not know for certain.Jamie, aka the VapeTeam's 'I AM VAPOR',

I know the guy that powder coated it. He goes by CHOPPERGUYS on ECF. He isnt taking work right now due to personal issues. The white you saw was the reflection of the glitter in the paint. Trust me, i have one powder coated in blue. I saw the blank cases he had as well as some tubes for the xhalers he was polishing for Drew over at Nhaler. It was legit. Way too pricey though. Chopper was doing it for next to nothing. $25 plus the price for paint from powder buy the pound. Here is a pic of mine. View attachment 117929
Oh, maybe it was weird lighting... Or maybe the person had it customized elsewhere, I don't know, it's sold anyway.
Oh well, I'd still rather buy 2 from NHaler than one with a paint job I didn't choose. LoL! As I've mentioned, I'm unemployed which is why the longer the warranty the better.
But your Darwin is beautiful! That type of paint job I'm familiar with. Compare your picture to the one in the classies. Those look like bubbles that are easier to see with the better lighting. But I'd rather have it black until started getting scratches or whatever. And by that time, the warranty would probably be done, so I'd just get it painted/anodized somewhere if it really bothers me that much.
I'm also a firm believer in supporting the company. Hopefully, if by supporting them as much as we can, we wouldn't have such a long Darwin drought.
