Well, Drew doesn't make the Darwin, he just sells it. Evolv is the manufacturer. Given the demand that is still out there for it, I'm pretty sure Drew would be more than happy to keep selling it as long as he can get more of them to sell ;-)

That said, the Opus D looks pretty good and is a great size, but I still like the Darwin more in terms of aesthetics. I'll probably check out one of those anyway, but I don't see the Darwin taking a back seat in my mod rotation anytime soon :p

Colors are definitely likely...When? Im not sure...Even if I was sure I probably wouldn't say...lol....I have learned to never promise anything that you dont have in your hand , because people take it as a lie if you are wrong!
As far as the Darwin is concerned, the dna 20 is the latest board from Evolv that boasts the most efficient circuit architecture avaialable...The form factor is another consideration but from the majority of the feedback we have received, most people wanted a more compact version with similar appointments, which is how we came up with the design of the Opus D...There will surely be more designs as time goes on, but the cases are not really that easy to design when all the assembly and internal design is considered.
We really wanted something rugged, sealed and internally sound, so I think this is something most people will appreciate once they get a better look at them.
I will admit that I have become accustomed to the fit and finish of The Darwin, in spite of it appearing to many as awkward and big. It still is comfortable and my wife will not switch in spite of the many mods I have let her try...
One thing for sure is it will be a great year for devices with Evolv products inside...

Thanks for responding. I and I am sure many other will be waiting for you to get them in your hand then put them for sale. The Opus D looks amazing. Is there a reason you are going the more traditional square rute instead of a long rectangle like the darwin?

Evening D-tards! Im on a mission... I want to get a rebuildable dripper to fit on my Darwin... and close... and fit in my pocket.. like I can with my high-ohm 306s that I love so dearly! Preferably, without leaking everywhere. Lets assume I have the proper amount of juice in it... cuz, hey... any atty will leak if its flooded. I want to be able to wrap unlimited amounts of fat, high-ohm coils... dont mind silica wick, I've grown accustomed to it over the years.

So, I need some ideas on either 1... a skinny rebuildable dripper... or some sort of attachment for the Darwin that'll let me close the arm... a 510 to 90 degree elbow to 90 degree elbow that would give me some clearance. Yes, I've considered a gooseneck... but those are pretty hideous. Any suggestions?

Without naming names, I'm willing to be that one of the newer carto-sized RBA's would work for dripping. At least one is truly carto-sized in diameter. True, there's a hole in the side since it's designed for use in a tank ... but I think a silicon carto sleeve could be slipped on to block that. Shouldn't be affected much by the heat and is easily replaceable.

Just happen to have a couple of 'em here. Currently in use for other things, but might get to check this out sometime this week. . . .

The Opus D! Just got it in today and it's a beast. From carto tanks to atty's to RBA's, everything works. I haven't tried taking it up to 20w but, at 14w on a AGA T2 with a 1.4ohm coil, I was bathing in vapor. This one is a keeper in my book!

Thanks Drew for the Opus and the mini leatherman tool.
