OK. Picked up a new 801 and couple of BE112's; also a new stealth adpator. One way or the other, I wll figure this 801 situation out. Headed home to experiment and will report back on findings. I was so blown away with the way the LR801 performed (prior to multiple leaks) that I have to get it to work.

Hey Cypress,
Sorry I didnt respond sooner, but I have extremely busy....I have been using a 302 (Joye's 801) with stealth adapter for the last 3 days and have had no issues with leaks... I actually have LESS leaking with this than any other atty I have used....I would credit that to it being bigger and holding more liquid.
I would point out that most LR 801s probably have bigger holes for more air flow, in their design...
Now I just looked at the LR 801s I sell and the 302s I sell and the holes on the 302 APPEAR larger, which seems really wierd because I remember my LR 801s did require careful dripping to avoid leakage when I used them on the XSHaler...
I will have to crank one of these up on a stealth adapter to see if they are different.
Thanks
Drew

Reporting in...
First of all, I continue to be more and more impressed with the Darwin. I'm finding that this thing is epic WIN over and over again.
I've used the standard resistance BE112 with a drip tip and stealth adaptor exclusively since yesterday. No leaks, super flavor, thick HEAVY vapor, bucket loads of awesomeness. I can't believe the Darwin with a 801 / BE112 may turn into my go-to...

I may be agreeing with you on this...I dont know if it is just a "variety is the Spice.etc." , thing or if I really like it this much at this point, but this combo is very nice right now. I switched out to a Jumbo carto this morning because I had to take a road trip and I found myself looking for the 302 to throw back on , when I cam in the door. Thanks for the updtae.

Description of the Darwin

What is the Darwin?

The Darwin is the first and only “power regulated” electronic cigarette.

What does “power regulated” mean?

“Power regulation” describes the Darwin’s ability to adjust to changing atomizer resistance and maintain consistent power, which in turn maintains a consistent heat output.

In the same way that cruise control in your car regulates speed; the Darwin will automatically adjust to maintain your power setting. You will no longer need to adjust for new atomizers, or resistance changes that result in either too much or too little heat.

What does it mean to me?

Consistent heat means consistent taste and throat hit. By regulating power and maintaining a constant heat output, the Darwin will deliver consistent taste on each and every vape, and since the user adjusts the wattage to their preference, your Darwin and its settings will be unique to you. The Darwin is the first device to conform to the user.

Is it easy to use?

The Darwin consists of a button, a dial, and a USB port. The button activates it, the dial sets power, and the USB port charges it. It is that simple. No complicated sequence of button presses, additional tools, or complicated manuals. The LCD screen display’s your wattage setting and battery life. The Darwin even allows you to adjust your power settings mid-vape!!

Safety features like an automatic power shut off when the atomizer swing arm is in the down position, allow you to carry the Darwin anywhere without fear of accidental activation. Additional safety features include over charge/discharge and short circuit protection

How and where is it made?

The Darwin is made and assembled here in the USA. The Darwin’s outer case is made of aluminum and anodized to provide a rugged long lasting and scratch resistant unit. Built to last, the Darwin comes standard with a 2- year warranty against manufacturer’s defects and a 1- year battery warranty.

I am looking forward to next week when they come in. I put myself on the list last week. Since the Georgia vape meet when I did use a Darwin for about 1/2 hour. I was hooked. Now I can't see myself use anything else after I do receive mine. I used a clearomizer on it at the meet and it was really nice. I love the way you can just dial in the flavor like dialing in a radio station. that just takes the guess work out of it. This is the machine to have for any atomizer or cartomizer. With the Darwin there is no wrong carto or atty. IMHO but that may change after I get it.

i thought it was supposed to be palladium? whatever it is, this thing rocks!

The beta units were aluminum. The first batch was palladium. The next batch will be made out of unobtanium, so you can feel proud that your purchase helped to relocate an alien indigenous species away from their home tree by means of superior firepower.
