Does anybody know if the batteries are user replaceable?
From what I understand, you would need to be able to solder to replace them yourself.
Im hoping to have some news today...I have used the 801 cartos which aren't really much different than the other cartos IMO...They have a better draw on the 801 devices I have used them with and depending on the adapter you have, are very similar on the Darwin.

They are not proprietary batts - as I understand it. They are Lithium Polymer cells (similar to iPhone batts). However, while you CAN replace them - I suspect it would void your Evolv Warranty. I would imagine even opening the case might kill your warranty. How can they honor a warranty if people are opening up the electronics compartment and soldering? They would then be placed in the position of having to warranty YOUR work (and possible damages) not theirs. The batts have a 1 yr warranty and the device 2 yrs. Personally, I would not risk my warranty to avoid being without my device for a few days. After the first year, you can still send to Evolv for new batts for $25 and they come with a new full year warranty.Don't mind the solderin', as long as the batteries are commonly available or available from Nhaler. Hate to commit to a Darwin and find out later that it won't work any more coz I can't replace the batteries.

I just bought some of the maxxfusion cartons to try with the adapter on my Darwin anyone try them yet?

Looks like Drew got his new batch of Darwins in. They are showing as "in stock" on the site.
Get 'em before they're gone!![]()
