Verdict? Sweetness level was right. flavor, probably needs to sit a little. When my map is empty, ill give it a go in that.

Trying to see if my friend in toga can come out with us, she wants to try vaping. She bought a sidsho from MV and got frustrated with it. Wish she asked me first!

Oh boy I hope her credit card can take the hit after trying some mods!

This thread sees far too much action- Do y'all ever take a break from posting LOL Man, I didn't log in yesterday, and now there are too many pages of posts in this thread to even try to catch up. So someone give me the Cliff Notes version of the past 24-48 hours in this thread. Did I miss anything important?

So a buddy of mine came by the house Saturday. His sister in law had purchased one of those over-priced mall e-cigs, one of those that is an automatic and looks like an analog. Well his sister in law didn't like it, so she gave it to him to try out. He was not impressed with it at all, and had written off e-cigs completely. Well while he was over, I let him try out my Darwin. The first drag he took had him coughing LOL. He was expecting a wimpy hit (like that other e-cig) and took too big of a drag. After he quit coughing, he took a normal drag. And was just blown away. He looks at his wife and says "THIS is the one I want! I don't care what it costs, I want one of these".

I doubt he will actually go thru with it though- I don't think he is ready to actually give up analogs. But at least I was able to show him that there is something better than the crap his sister in law bought.

OH
Haha, n2! Last few pgs were mostly l2s and I going back n forth about my trip to ny and DIY, nothing Darwin new.

Is it sad I feel more excited about my friend trying Darwin than she is? And, honestly, I don't think she's ready to quit either, even though they're more than $10/pk there and she lives in the most anti smoking area I've ever seen! She goes out of her way to buy them in a store she has no chance of being seem by anyone she knows.

Great Story, I had a friend who's wife and he are also trying to quit try my Darwin. They were like your friend( I don't care what it cost) so they too just started with one of those over the counter/mall e-cig. I know they were impressed by the Darwin but I told them they need to first see if its something they are going to like to help them quit smoking. So ( since they don't even have a computer) I told them I would give them Drew's Number and he can talk to him about what is good for starters. It seems we are all spreading the good news about the Darwin.

What kind of attys do you guys use with the Darwin?

THAT is the beauty of the Darwin...you can use ANY atty you want. I have at least one of virtually every atty you can think of and have tried them all on the Darwin. Choosing the "best" is a matter of preference. I'm typically a 510 guy, but think that 801 / BE112's are unbeatable on the Darwin. My personal opinion is that no matter what atty you like to use, you've never had it perform better on another device than on the Darwin.

So I heard back from Evolv regarding my experience with only getting 16 hours from a fully charged battery.
Here is what they had to say:
To be honest we have been amazed at the customers who are reporting 24 to 36 hours between charges. Our original testing suggested 12 to 14 hours between charges or approx. 1 to 1.5 days of vaping between charges. Don't get us wrong we were thrilled to see such battery life but it was certainly unexpected.

The email went on to explain the life expectancy or the batteries, etc... And they did offer to swap out the batteries for me right now if I wanted them to. In all honesty, I am not displeased with my battery performance. And hearing from Evolv that they had not expected longer of the battery has put my mind at ease, so I don't think I will be seeing any performance issues in the future, but also know that Evolv will stand behind the product if I do. So I'm just going to keep using it, and keep happily vaping.

On another note- My wife, who I have reported before as saying that the Darwin was too "masculine" looking for her taste. Well, she is getting fed up with her finicky Turbo AV, getting fed up with replacing batteries repeatedly, and every time she takes a drag off my Darwin she says "that thing just hits so perfectly every time"... So last night she says "ya know, I think I'm over appearances and just want something that works perfectly every time". So yeah, I'm thinking a 2nd Darwin will need to be ordered soon. :)

Yay, another convert, lol. I started paying closer attention to my actual battery life where I didn't throw it on the charger randomly when I knew is be away from it for awhile n such. I vaped pretty consistently during this period, too. I charged it while I slept and by the end of day 1 my battery bar was maybe a 1/3 down. Left it off charger second night. 2nd day I vaped as I already said and by late afternoon it was really low, not angry low, but not far from. So, all told, a little more than 1 1/2 days with not turning it off at any point (ARM stayed raised with map on). D@mn impressive! Not 2-2 1/2 days, but better than anything else out there! (As far as I know :))

So I was testing some atty's last night- since we have lost track of which ones are standard and which ones are LR, I decided to put them on the Darwin and check. And then one of them, as soon as I hit the button on the Darwin, the Darwin screen went blank- I mean completely blank, no numbers, no evolv logo, nothing. I just about crapped my pants thinking I had just killed my Darwin LOL. I immediately put another atty (a known good atty), and checked it. Everything was fine. Thinking it may have just been a fluke, I put that other atty back on it. And again, the screen went blank. Not one to tempt fate, I immediately thru that atty in the trash.

Was that screen blanking out a protection against a shorted atty?

Yep...N2...Just a shorted atty. I've had it happen 3-4 times. Makes my heart stop every time though!

Well my Darwin started flaking out a few days ago. It would just shut down and I'd have to fiddle with the arm placement to get it to fire. Seems like a loose connection or something simple I think. I emailed Evolv on Sunday... They replied very quickly... on a Sunday no less ;) said they'd express me a new one. I told them don't have to express, I can wait for priority. Today, a new Darwin arrives via express. THAT is awesome service there I tell you!

I notice the arm on the new one moves very easily compared to my old one which is SWEET!!!

Thanks! Still love the Darwin :D
