The Darwin From Evolv!!!

Was out most of the day today with the Darwin and cartos. Gotta say, the 801 is pulling ahead. Its not really an 801 (that I can see) thought it has 801 threading but it can wear an Nhaler twisted tip.
Even without 801 qualities, there's something about it...I think it's a combo of the ohms and the fill type. I've been re-topping it and getting throat hit from my daily vape (cigar/menthol blend) at 7.6 pixies (carto is reading at 2.9 ohms). TH isn't something I necessarily aim for anymore but sometimes - some days...and you know what kinda days - hits the spot. And, I think I'm going to hold at 16mg nic during the day and 5 to 11 at night for the short term, rather than zoom on down to zero as I'd planned.
The 801 Drip-O's have a different filler in them...they're working for me too but I've been topping this one for about...since Saturday so that makes this the third day? I can't tell if I'm sick or if the flavor's not lasting...maybe it's the flavor I'm using... But I love the style...the longer drip tip, ease of dripping into...these are pretty cool too.
Next up...must try those 901 attys and give

Well gang my Darwin just quit working in the middle of a vape . Just went DEAD as a DOORNAIL . It had over 1/2 charge showing on the meter as I had just looked at the meter . Put it on charger for an hour and that was a NO GO , started turning it off and on many times and after several tries I got a funny screen and on the next try it started working again ??????? Sent Brandon a note about it , will see what happens .

Kat from Evolv responded very quickly and offered to overnight a replacement Darwin , I'm going to try this one for a while to see what happens .

I don't know of any other supplier that would be willing to overnight a replacement PV to a customer. Excellent customer service.
ECF was going down on me last nite....off and on....then doing crazy stuff(and slow again)....
LOL... I try to stay out of the gutter (except with my Jeep). Because when I do go to the gutter, I go WAY WAY into the gutter LOL
I'm sure if there were any potential issues with using the dual coil on the Darwin, Drew or someone with Evolv would chime in with a warning. At least that's what I'm thinking. I just received 3 more boxes of dual coil cartos. So I certainly hope there's no problem.
I was thinkin' about ordering some today along w/ some mega 801 carto's, so you really like the dual coil on the Darwin???
Absolutely love the dual coil cartos- awesome flavor, and one fill lasts a long time. But these cartos do drain the battery much faster than normal cartos
So, is it safe to say that the batt's would last 8 to 10 hours???
Just verifying. The drip shield fits over and works with the 801 styles?
Yes. My batt (on standard carto) would last 16 hours. With the dual coil it is 10 hours. I bought a USB cord so that I can charge my darwin at my desk so that I don't have to worry about running out of battery during the day.
That works......just placed an order, going to try the mega 801 carto's and the mega 510 carto's.....maybe some dual coil next order....
I tried both the mega 801 and mega 510, as well as the 808 jumbo cartos, and 808 jumbo drippers. I was not impressed with any of them- none IMHO were as good as a standard 510. So I had low expectations on the dual coil carto and simply ordered a single box to try. I have since ordered 3 more boxes, and have 2 brand new boxes of standard 510 just sitting on the desk un-used.
I really like the dual coils too. I just use them on the ProVape-1 now. Hopefully Drew or someone will chime in on using them on the Darwin. As I stated earlier the drain rate just makes me a little nervous. I was killing the Darwin batt in about 6 - 7 hours with them.
