I have quite a bit of the TV Cheesecake. The plain one tastes like sweet cream with a slight flavor of graham. By itself it is very unimpressive. It makes a huge difference when added to other juices. A prime example of that is the Atomic Cinnicide. If you add roughly 30% Cheesecake to 70% Atomic Cinnicide you have a creamy cinnamon that is just to die for. It is also excellent mixed with the German Chocolate and the Pecan Pie.

No, I wasn't real impressed with TV Cheesecake and there was a time when mixing it with Atomic Cinnacide would have appealed to me, but I swore off AC after concerns on whether it is even safe to vape it. After all, the stuff actually melts plastic Clearomizers in a few days! Something to be said about what it is doing to your lungs when it can do that!

Having a bit of an issue - already mailed off to Evolv but wanted to get some other user opinions.

I mentioned before about having "wiggle" issues with I screw in an atomizer to the brass connection cap and how if I exert a little pressure it will just pop right out.

I've only been using 510s with the Darwin since I received it and today I'm having real difficulties with it. If I apply pressure to the 510 it will just pop right out to the point where I can't even use it to twist the arm back in place and instead just have to use my fingers.

Wondering if this is something I've done (messed up threads) or perhaps something else - any ideas? Anyone else had a similar issue?

Brandon

EDIT: Tried it with a few different atomizers/cartos to make sure it just wasn't the one I had been using and they all "pop" out from the side facing the back (side opposite screen) of the Darwin if there is any pressure. Nuts.

I've only been using 501s with the Darwin since I received it and today I'm having real difficulties with it. If I apply pressure to the 501 it will just pop right out to the point where I can't even use it to twist the arm back in place and instead just have to use my fingers.

Hate to hear you have an issue, but since you already e-mailed Evolv, I am sure they will take care of you.....best customer service I've had, bar none......

Yea, I'm sure they'll get back to me promptly and hopefully with an easy solution. Just wanted to check if it was just my Darwin or it's something that's not even an issue and happens to everyone's.

I'm so in love with this mod it's unreal - hard to explain. This one little issue has just been bothering me since I got it and I know if it held the atomizer/carto in tightly I'd be gold.

I finally got a back-up unit in so if I do have to send my Darwin back to get it checked out I'll have something to keep me off cigs... the thing is I don't want to vape on anything but my Darwin now!

If the atty/carto just pops out, I would say that is not normal....as to whether your threads are stripped out, I would have no idea without being able to look at it.....

What I would highly recommend is to get a 510 to 510 adapter so you can screw it into the Darwin and then screw your 510 atty's or carto's into it...that way you are not screwing them into the Darwin, but into the adapter.......

Yea, to my naked eye they look fine but I have NO idea what I'm looking for. I had a few mods in the past that I used heavily before going back to analogs and I never had an issue with cross-threading/stripping out.

If it turns out I have done something to damage them or there was some defect you can believe I'll be getting a 510-510 adapter as soon as I get paid.

Guys a 306 has the same threads as a 510. Sounds like the atty may have been overtightened and messed up the threads in the brass or maybe hole was machined a little off. Either way I am sure Evolve will make it good and definatley get a 510 to 510 connector.

Right, but some i have seen had just slightly smaller threading....just thinking outside the box....

Fusoya -- in your post you keep typing 501 atty/carto......I think you mean 510, but makes me ask.....are you sure your atty's are not 306's......

Yea, I editted it. Meant 510.

They are all definitely 510s.

Ack - I really hope I didn't already mess up my Darwin. Oh well - I'll be keeping an eye out for word from Evolv.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Good afternoon everyone!

I agree with the advice from retird and ski. Only thing I can see it being based on the description is the threads. Only time I use an adapter is when I use a map, but I do tend to be careful when putting one on, think its my touch of OCD :) but an adapter is a good idea for them.

Please let us know how it all turns out, I know evolv will take good care of you.

Just a TIP....I had some 510's that I always use on my Variable voltage mods, and when I first got my Darwin they would not screw into it.....turns out the threading was just a bit larger than other 510's so I could not use them on the Darwin, but they fit all other mod I have.....says something, I think, about quality control of these attys....I did e-mail the company where I purchased them, and they replaced them and the replacements fit the Darwin.....

Yea, the threading or something is definitely off because it's not holding my atomizer's at all if any pressure is exerted. It's too the point where even while inhaling it can pop out of the connection.

I'll post an update once I talk with Evolv. I think I'm taking it extra hard because of how much I'm in love with this mod. :(

Oh well! I'm sure it can be fixed!

I'm sure you will be taken care of.. (brass part) will need to be replaces...not a big deal.......

Another thing I noticed on my Darwin was that an atty (any atty/carto) will no screw all the way down into the connector, which is no big deal, I only screw it in untill it makes good contact, and no further......vapes great......same with the 510/510 adapter that I use.....I just have to remember not to try to force the atty/carto to screw all the way down into the connector...
