Hey guys was just wondering, Is there any reason to try LR's on my Darwin or do I get the same effect just using the HV stuff?
all I have used is the 2.5 and up

Preference really...
To me the 'regular' and 'HV' stuff is much better on a Darwin ;)

I do keep some LR of the 2 Ohm variety around tho', because from time to time I like to pull out the ole eGo or KR808 batteries. Particularly if I'm headed somewhere I fear loosing or breaking the Darwin. I.E. That Ski trip...on the Golf Course...the odd party full of wild strangers etc....

I much prefer regular atties or HV atties on the darwin. I find that lower Ω stuff is hotter at a lower voltage. I guess the best way is to try for yourself. :)

Thanks, I guess i spoiled my self with the Darwin being new to vaping and only using the 808 for 3 weeks and now having the Darwin 8) Where to go from here lol

That's the beauty of having one. You can play with almost everything. To sound cliche', that's the beauty of "wattage", IMO. My favs at the moment are Ikenvape Fusions and the dual-coils. I'm sure that will change in a month.

I know you asked gary about the fusions but let me try to help. They are a very clean hitting carto and last for a long time. I do not like them as much as the Gold V2. The V2 gives a warmer fuller vape while the Fusion is a little airier and a touch more flavorful. I prefer the fuller bigger TH versus flavor but as we know everyone has different likes

I have some V2's and idk if its the juice i used but it was tasting a little burned, have to test more because i think it was the Banana fosters i used from GV.

I am presently waiting for the next ordering round for the Darwin. Are there any no~no's?

When switching between regular attys and LRs, 510s to 801s, tanks to dripping etc etc. Don't want to screw on a LR by mistake and kill it or ruin anything else just through inexperience with the Darwin.

Thanks for any suggestions.

These are IN stock = same (I have both and they are the same): 801 Mega Cartomizers
Still a dedicated dripper but when I grab cartos -> either 801 or kr808 w/510-901 adapter. I have some of the dual coils to try but have not yet gotten to them.

Hi SLH,
Not really any no~no's. Just realize that LR attys limit the lower end of the obtainable watts range. The device won't go below 3.6 or 3.7 volts so a 1.5 LR atty will not vape below 9.1 watts regardless of the setting - this is just ohms law in action.

1.7 LR will not vape below 8 Watts
2.0 atty won't vape below 6.8 watts

So using standard and higher ohms attys just gives you more obtainable low-end range on the watts scale.

:toast:

EDIT: However, until you get accustomed to the device and using watts, I would recomed always turning watts down on new attys and then experimenting from there. If you have watts set full up to 12.7 watts on a 1.5 ohms atty you may only be pushing about 4.36 volts but as that atty gets used and ohms drop, you could possibly risk popping it.

Not really sheer because the darwin works in Wats it is able to provide a constant feel for most atties. I have some preferences. But it works with them all in a way.

[ edit LOL sorry for stepping on your answer. I did not see it. Guess we left it at the same time. Just read the anwser above this it is better IMHO ]

True Ski, The Fusions are a little airier. I talked to Drew about a comparison to the Fusion a while ago and he said to try his 801 Carts, so I said I would give them a try. Believe me, they work just as well as the Fusions, I was very surprise to find this out since I so love how the Fusions work on the Darwin. So if IVKEN is out try Drews 801 Carts.
