I've been using smoketeks dc 1.5 ohms and loving them. It's time to put in a new order and was wondering what the diff would be between the 1.5 dcoils vs the 2.5 dcoilds on a Darwin.

I tried a dual coil clear carto that was 1.5 ohm and I didn't like it. The darwin won't let it go past a certain voltage but when I use the 2.5 ohm at around 11-12 watts, it is perfect at 5.5 volts or so :D

You have to go shopping with a loaded handgun? I'd consider moving to somewhere safer.

Also, you are more likely to get killed having no lights on your truck than getting shot.

You know what I find really funny? Someone from the UK babbling on about moving somewhere safer when right now your country is pretty much rioting all over the place and burning London down to the ground.
I bet those folks in London would LOVE to be able to legally carry a concealed handgun right about now like the Americans can.
So I guess what I'm really trying to say is that subjects living under the rule of a KING and QUEEN and who are legally prohibited from defending themselves or their loved ones from violence really have zero say about anything related to true freedom.

Oh yeah, one last thing...Man United sucks! Go Arsenal! ;)

Anyone know if a Darwin will close all the way with a drip shield?

Tight fit but it'll do it.
I like to stack a couple of extensions first, that gives it a little more tolerance in what all can fit on it and still close. Why? The slight play in the adapter threads lets things shift slightly when needed. Also if you really want the longer extensions set in a tube (meant for extending the chargers I think) can be bent slightly outward if you run into larger stuff that just will not close at all.

This is the gooseneck I just bought for ma incoming darwin. From what I've seen on other ppls, it fits pretty good.

With a 510 atty and a drip tip it ends up extending just about the length of the device.

tacklebait, in general, higher resistance atty/cartos give you more choices on the Darwin. Higher resistance will also let you use the same heat range you want, but use less current, and makes your battery last longer.

google lipo602566. Tough to see how thick they are but I guess maybe two are sandwiched in there. If that is the case then yes 1800mah sounds right. BTW - Thanks and earlier in the week retird posted that Russian link in the thread. Hard to read but the pics were nice

Yes, thanks to retird for helping me find those again. This was my favorite one. I'm not quite sure what the 2.WV for voltage in the lower left means.

Edit/Addendum: The above pic courtesy of Tonny. I am only a linkin' fool.

Word. With a 4.2 ohm atty at 6 volts on the other advanced vv device - just wasn't enough vapor for me. Then with two 3.7v 18350's stacked @ 8 volts in a tube mod was just a wee bit too much. So I'm pretty excited to have such a wider range of choices.

Lol, .5 ohms  I have seen that WV thing as well and it's funny that you mentioned it because I was actually pondering it this morning and wondering what the heck it was. It doens't seem to stay like that though. It just does it for a second or so

Ah, come on, there is alot of good info in these 729 pages.......

FYI, the "shorty" case I received (see Nebula's pics) came from Nhaler

PV Carrying Case

Select "small".......

Ha - that's a familiar website... :) Easy enough to acquire them, so thanks!!

Settling in with my latest copy of a Darwin. Absolutely loving it in every respect. Couple observations, if they're interesting/important...

The build quality is subtly different with my first one. Namely - the surface is a bit "harder" than my first. I see brush strokes on this one for finishing the anodized coating (?). The activation button requires much less of a throw distance, making it easier to hold it down with light-moderate pressure (my first one requires a bit more conscious pressure to keep it fired). The only real niggling thing is that my new one has the wobbly usb port that some have mentioned here. It seems to be minor enough to leave it to charge overnight (I rarely use the D'wins in tethered mode, FYI), so I'm more-or-less happy to just leave it as-is, with the understanding that to use it while charging is mildly risky with the USB port in that state.

Question is - do I address the the wobbly USB-port with Inhaler or Evolv? Either way, I perceive this as minor enough to not matter long-term, but I would kinda like to get that fixed. What's my best option here?

All that said, I've got much love for Nhaler for bringing this amazing piece of technology to us lowly drug-addicts... :)

Thanks in advance, as always.

Thanks
ken
