Green! make sure thats in the colors!,
guys i have put my final decision and reasoning my original thread if anyone cares to read it, thanks for all the help. seems like the only real viable problem i could read about was the sturdyness of it. although some say its pretty sturdy through drops and stuff, has it been cosidered to make a a shock absorber or rubber glove for it of some sort? like a cell phone case sort of thing. just an idea!

Oh we left that out of the discussion but yes there is a nice case for the darwin. See nhalers site. I like the half jacket some like the full. they both work well

ohhhh ok, yea i saw that one, but i meant like a rubber encasing, like you can keep it in and still vape, like the body glove or something that fits over a iphone type of thing

There is not one at the moment but that actually would be a great idea because you would be able to access the button and wheel and still have the whole case protected. Would cut down on the need to wash my hands at the slightest sign of grease

Do not know of any PV that has an accessory rubber case like you are wanting.....the small case at Nhaler does have a loop that you could hook a lanyard to and you can vape while the Darwin is in the case.....just an idea if that helps....

In the linked case (large), you can keep the Darwin in it and still vape. The image does not show it but the atty arm does not go into the case. The atty arm can still pivot. The sides (covering the button and wheel) are a stretchy fabric and you can easily activate the button right thru the material. if you want to change the setting, you lift the velcro flap and slide the Darwin up just enough for the wheel to be accessible.

That case has 2 different belt loops (one right over the other). The outer loop has a velcro closure so you can easily take the case (with Darwin in) off your belt and use right in the case. The second belt-loop (directly underneath the first) is sewn on both ends so you have to pass your belt thru and the case stays on belt until you take the belt off. Using this loop, you just lift the velcro flap and slide the Darwin out (it slides back in just as easily). This can be a little snug at first but you get the hang of it quickly and it does loosen up just enough in a short period of use. Hope this helps.

And now a vid review that says the Darwin brings it:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ews/220163-basilray-reivews-darwin-evolv.html

Along with a few responses that it is ugly. Well inside of every ugly chick is a hot nympo just trying to claw her way out.

The saga continues and in the meantime I will just vape away on my trusty darwin.

Lol! I like Basilray so I am sure this will be good. I will give it a look in a bit :D He did a review on the 306DCA and some other IKV stuff.

Hey, it's a Holiday night for our users in the USA! Let's get on IRC. Or, the "chat", for you kids out there.

If you use Windows, Mirc is a great standalone client.

irc.e-cigarette-forum.com:6667 Or, from ECF here, just click on the Live Chat thingie at the top.

Once you are there, type "/join #darwin2" (no quotes, then press enter) it is a channel with a better signal to noise ratio right now.

Why I love my darwin over my provari:

dwindcc.jpg

2.9 AMPS! Provari can only go up to 2.5 amps. This is on a smok tech ego mega dual coil carto. Sometimes 3.7 volts on these just aint enough for me. Surprisingly there is still very good flavor at 12.7 watts, no burning taste at all. I find these big ... cartos way easier to keep from burning, idk why there cant be more like it!

The solution for using bigger atties:

dwinemdcc.jpg

Here I used two shorty extensions and one 510-ego adapter cuz I don't have any bigger extensions yet. I've found using a gooseneck to be a bit annoying and too big. When its shut the arm does move back a little bit, but I think its meant to have a little play in there. It would make sense to let it move slightly because if it gets hit into you'd rather have the whole arm move a bit than have it mess up the threads. From pics I've seen of the inside the darwin it looks like the arm is fully enclosed in its aluminum body. Very good design, imo. Put it through the drunk use test last night, three thumbs up

I'm with ya on the amps thing. I haven't experimented to see just how much difference 0.3 amps makes, but I frequently see the display on my Darwin reading 2.7-2.8 amps on dual coils. I've been thinking about getting a VV device in addition to my Darwin and have mostly been looking at other models that have a 3 amp cutoff (not that I wouldn't like a Provari, of course). If I do I'm sure my Darwin will still be my go-to device, but I do like to change it up once in a while

That's interesting because I am the exact opposite. I'm finding that there's nothing the Darwin can't do better than my other pv's, and I've got some great ones. The ability to dial in the right settings have resurrected so many atty's that were pit aside for some reason. I'm using a 901 now that was always too harsh at 5-6 volts but is perfect at about 7.5 watts with Drew's Mint Green Tea.

Thinking about selling my other mods and getting another Darwin, I like the blue one so that may be the future of my vapes.

That was a lot of fun last nite! To all our D'win buds who were not around last nite, you missed out on some "enlightening" conversations! Thanks guys :)
