That's interesting because I am the exact opposite. I'm finding that there's nothing the Darwin can't do better than my other pv's, and I've got some great ones. The ability to dial in the right settings have resurrected so many atty's that were pit aside for some reason. I'm using a 901 now that was always too harsh at 5-6 volts but is perfect at about 7.5 watts with Drew's Mint Green Tea.

Thinking about selling my other mods and getting another Darwin, I like the blue one so that may be the future of my vapes.

Calling DREW. See we need some colors man. Here is another taker for a Blue one. I am first though.

I would think it would also matter on what ohm DC Carto you where running, I have 1.5 & 2.0 ohm Dual Coil Cartos, the numbers are sure different on my Darwin when running each different one, I prefer the 2ohm !

Correct mwa the 1.5 ohm on the darwin is overkill. Also when dialing down you reach a lower limit of what the unit can control with the 1.5's. The 1.5 DCs pull hard on the batts too and I have seen the Darwin deplete in about 6-7 hours using these. I have since ditched DC's on the darwin and stay with single coils and dial up if I need a bigger hit. Anyway it will certainly drive them without a problem where the Vari gives Error code because of over amperage draw.

Yes and the room was still open today.

Glad you all stopped by. IRC is a pretty old and standardized protocol, it works great across tons of devices and operating systems. It was still there today? I opped everyone last night (this morning) then signed off the server completely. I guess It will stay until the last person leaves. I created that #darwin2 one, because I wanted to show you all some of the standard IRC stuff. In the original one, I didn't think the original guy there knew how to op me, so I just made another one.

The non-Darwin guy kept kind of trying to go on and on abt his favorite device, but geez, there's no future in that.

Exactly what I did.
I never liked the filler carto's until I got a tank with a DC. I had some singles I had got in a lot on the classys. Though I would try them. Now all I use is a single carto tank system.
Best I have had since I started vaping.
I have not found any reasonable juice that I do not like in them. Where as before I only had a couple I liked.

That is a good point. Most of my dual coils are ~1.5, except for the pack I purchased from Drew which are 2.0. I prefer the higher ohms on the Darwin, as well, but I've got a large stock of the 1.5's on hand already

Many people are digging these DC's but for me they fall into the CE-2 realm. I have tried many but still I have not really found one that blows me away. For me the only good use for a CE-2 is a tank system like the VPX. Maybe the DC's just burn too hot for me or maybe me 6-7 sec draws are a little too much with a DC. It's hard to change your vape style to match a carto/atty and I think draw strength and length have a lot to do with my preference to the single coil verticle element designed cartos. The beautiful thing is that no matter what you like the Darwin will drive it and do so for many hours. Vape on KJ1!!!! :)

Room stayed open beacuses James stayed logged on as OP. He was still there at 4pm today. He just left browser open so the room lived. He was not in chat. Is it still live?????

Ski, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same things :p You aren't the first I've heard say they didn't like the DCs and in truth they had to grow on me at first, but now they're one of my regular staples.
As for CE2's, I've liked them all along and I guess I'm one of the few people that have never really had many problems with them, though I hear more complaints than praise about them from others. I never understood why so many had troubles with them, but then there are things I just don't get along with that other people absolutely rave about (currently I've been fighting with CE3 Smokeymizers, just about ready to give up and I'm surrounded by a whole bunch of people that don't have any trouble with them at all. I guess it's payback for my good luck with the CE2's)

Looks like ECF is finally back up... wonder what happened?

Anywho, my Darwin arrived today as did my IKV atty order. Unfortunately IKV sent the wrong attys so I don't want to use them until they tell me how they're going to handle this.

Holding off on my first impressions with a couple of cartos I thankfully brought "just in case", but... anyone else notice this thing goes to 11?

;)

They had a hardware failure on the server, apparently. The only way I knew, was that I logged in to IRC briefly, the MOTD (Message Of The Day) said they were replacing hardware. The server itself was back up for awhile first, but the forum wasn't up yet. I don't know if the web client displays MOTD or not, I use a regular IRC client.

This is a good example of IRC being used for time-pertinent info! It is on different hardware, so if one goes down, the other should stll be up.

AaronY: I probably can't get on until after 9pm CST tonight.

Vapian: Congrats, you will love it! Remember, LR is not a help, explore the different ranges. The Big Numbers are the main thing. Get some low-nic!

Oh, NOW you tell me... I just placed another order for my usual nic levels yesterday... :(

You're saying I should be able to drop from 18mg down to 12mg or so and still be happy with how it hits?
