They are also essentially disposable ------ meaning if I drop one off a ski lift or in the lake yeah it will suck but at least it is not a $200+ mod....
I was actually thinking about getting one for this very reason. Took my Darwin 4 wheeling this weekend and I was a bit manic checking on it every minute. When I order my SS Cartomator I'll get one. Thanks for the review Ski.

Bigger balls than me then F-B. I know when I took a MOD skiing I was like that and hence the Ego/Riva in the pocket after that. If you do pick one up please post and keep me honest if I missed something about that batt. I have only had it since I got home today so time will tell if it holds up to the fumble fingers and hitting the floor a few times :)

How does the stock 3.?ish stuff work at high altitudes? I remember it taking FOREVER to boil water for a pot of coffee last time I was on a mountain. I made the mistake of trying to deep fry some stuff....uuoh....6 camp stoves combined and I still couldn't conjure up enough heat to deep fry.

Credo that is a great question. My field of study was Atmospheric Science (Meteorologist) so it is something that I actually looked at. Without a long dissertation on vapor pressure vs altitude on various PG/Vg ratios, I can say that there is very little noticable effect when it comes to vaping. This is due partly to the very large temperature differential when we look at coil vs ambient air temps and the realtively small volume of liquid we are heating. I get huge hits off the eGo/Riva batts even at altitudes over 10,000 feet. The other awesome thing is that the feezing points of PG and VG are so low that juice (even in an outside pocket) never freezes. Batt life does suffer some and I estimate about a 10-15% drop in overall drag count when batts are left in an outside pocket. If kept close to your body the temp really does not affect them that bad. Hope that helps and that I did not enter to far into geekdom. Now where is that gutter all this talk of Science needs to be balanced with some mazzola and tarps!!!! Happy vapes Credo

I did it, haha. They are pretty sturdy, I've dropped mine a couple of times, even with the tank on, hasn't been a problem yet.
So for those interested in the VV Batteries that Drew is selling as a spare on the go e mod I would try one. I think they are priced fair enough.

haha, let me know! i only have a 18ml bottle about half gone, i dont want to fill up a carto in case it doesnt work! lol
OK, the Boba's and GJ arrived and the Boba's is the thickest VG of the two, so I loaded a carto with it and have been vaping it.....I fill my cartos with a plastic needle/syringe (1 ml) then just top it off with a few more drips(as needed).....this assures that the carto is fully loaded....

It is vaping great and with no dry or burnt tasting hits for me....the Boba's seems to be about the same thickness as the other VG/PG juice I use, so I really do not think it will be an issue in my carto's...

Have not loaded the GJ yet but it is a thinner juice than the Boba's....

Reading various threads about using AV juices in carto's, some report no issues and some say it is an issue.....my take on a 3.0 ohm Boge is that it works just as well as my other juices.....so I am pleased.......

Who do you think you're kidding Ski?....You only studied Atmospheric Science because it involved clouds! :) I'm still trying to picture what could have been if you had ended up as a weatherman...some sort of weird cross between Ron Burgundy and Jerry Garcia....scary thought dude!

hey thanks for the info, i swear i posted this before but it didnt go through or something.. anyways, let me know if you do encounter any problems, im going to be getting a filling syringe later today, so those boge 3ohm hold about 1ml?

Give or take a few drops, that should be close. Maybe give the carto a blow back into the bottle from either end, that should take care of any 'overfill'. Sometimes when they are brand new they don't want to suck up that much, while with subsequent refills you'll find they'll take a bit more. With the vertical coils...remember to pull the needle out as you wet the filler...the more even the better. Might want to keep a fine/long piece of wire around in case you have a liquid that makes it all 'expand' and lead to a tight draw. Sometimes carefully running that wire through it opens things up again. I do have one liquid I can barely use in a vertical coil unless I 'barely wet' the thing at half capacity, and run a wire through it every once in a while...

It must be the DC cartos that are a problem then because I have never used regular cartos. Carry on then :D

Please urge the FDA to approve Modified Risk Tobacco Product applications (per Section 911 of the FSPTCA) for smokefree tobacco products to truthfully inform smokers that they are far less hazardous alternatives to cigarettes.

Public comment deadline is tomorrow, Friday, Sept 23.

Yesterday, Stan Glantz submitted comments urging FDA to oppose MRTP applications and products.

To submit a comment, please see
Public Workshop: Scientific Evaluation of Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP) Applications
then go to

Regulations.gov
and click on the "submit your comment" icon.

Please urge the FDA to "approve all MRTP applications by smokefreee tobacco products to truthfully inform smokers that the product is a far less hazardous alternative to cigarettes."

Also, please urge the FDA to "not require smokefree tobacco product manufacturers to conduct expensive studies on their truthful claim's impact on nonusers of tobacco products because the enormous health benefits that have accrued to the several million smokers who already switched to smokeless tobacco (and to the estimated million smokers who switched to e-cigarettes) have already offset any potential health risk increase even if every non-tobacco-user in America began using these smokefree tobacco products (because smokefree tobacco products are at least 99% less hazardous than cigarettes)."

Please note that Section 911 of the FSPTCA (i.e MRTP provisions) currently only applies to cigarettes, cigarette tobacco, RYO and smokeless tobacco products, but the FDA has stated its intent to propose a regulation to apply Chapter IX of the FSPTCA (including Sec. 911) to e-cigarettes, e-liquid, at least several dissolvable tobacco products and other unregulated tobacco products.

(This was copied and pasted from Bill Godshaws Emails and I figured it could be the best way to get the word out FAST) Thanks Bill!!!

Please help spread this around folks!!!!
