hey guys this is HOTMAMA i just won a darwin on ELIXIR!!!!! any tips?

Welcome Bria, this is a great thread with lots of great people. Pretty much everything Darwin has been discussed and is relatively searchable right here. Of course, feel free to ask anything and someone will likely respond fairly quickly.

Katdarling put together another thread that sort of summarizes lots of the essential Darwin info. It can be a bit faster and easier for those new to Darwin. You can find that thread here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ything-you-ever-wanted-know-about-darwin.html

I usually use the IKV 3.5 ohm attys, but their site has been down for awhile so I tried the 510 customs from nhaler 306 Atomizers. I like them so much I had to post it here for my fellow Darwinians. Man these things are great! I got em at 4.5 ohms. The draw is perfect, not too loose - not too tight. The vapor is a bit cool, which I like better on some juices than others.

If you guys haven't tried these before, give them a shot. Nice job Drew!

so I was driving the other day and a kind commuter slowed down to let me in his lane. I waved my hand out the window to thank him only to have him slam on the breaks and keep a long distance between me and him... then I came to a realization... I had my Darwin in my hand as I was about to use it.... lets see if you come up with the same conclusion I did...

A cop would have come to the same conclusion that the other driver did: "Holy COW!! The way that guy is waving his Darwin out the window, he is likely to drop it!!! I'd better back up so I can grab it when he does!!"

Lol Jorad. I was just thinking the same thing a few days ago while holding my Darwin. It could be easily mistaken for something else  Funny thing is, the slide on the other "piece" of "hardware" that goes out with me is about the same size as the darwin and the same color. I am sure pics will come from this at some point :p

Jorad, that is, IMMNHO (most and non-humble) HYSTERICAL!! Thanks for sharing, even tho you posted a mirror image. ;)

I un-mirrored it. I guess it's one of those "learn from my mistakes" things. Lol. I'm still runnin off the one bloog cartomizer that came with my Darwin when I bought it used. I really need to get a few more... It's starting to taste like crap and I don't want to go back to analogs after over 2 weeks clean... Getting really tempted.

OMG, my Darwin died tonight. I was just sitting there vaping away and suddenly I got no vapor. This didn't worry me, I have often had it turn itself off for no reason and was just able to turn the arm down and back up to turn it back on. This time it didn't turn back on. I took off the atty and tried again, still no dice. I've plugged it into the charger and am hoping it will recover by morning, but if not I'll probably have to RMA. I'm crying for myself :(

Do you have a back up? I'm thinking I'll be trying my hand at making a mod to fall back on because the thought of being without my PV sends shudders down my spine... I would literally go back to analogs in 2 days tops.... Gotta start thinking about emergencies

I didn't know how long I would hold out, but after about 3 hours on the charger I went and tried again and it came on! Vaping my BB again and loving it.

I was trying to go back to my Volt. It's good for an 808 style, but I don't know if I could have stayed away from the analogs if my Darwin didn't come back.

I think the only reasonable replacement for a Darwin is another Darwin, but I already spend too much money on this stuff!

Jorad, it is critical to keep a backup around for PV 'emergencies'. I keep a charged ego batt and filled carto with me pretty much wherever I go. These are electronic devices and may fail, its happened a few times to me and having a backup will at least keep you vaping until it all gets sorted out. There are a lot of good inexpensive options that work great, although not a Darwin, that will keep you going. No analogs...ever! We are so done with that. Stay strong.
