Mix, I met you, at a vape meet about a month ago? I thought you were someone from Pasadena, right?

Panks, far for YOU? When IS Vapercon... this weekend? I haven't seen alot of buzz around it. Who is going?

We have a Laguna Beach meet next month at E-Cig City. Come on down. Loads of laughs, etc. ;)

Sorry for the slow reply, I haven't checked this thread in a few days. Yep Kat that was me.

The Laguna meet should be a blast. Im hoping I can make it down to that!

Thank you kindly Katdarling ~ I will keep asking questions after I research a bit more. Great thread 'Vape like a research monkey'!@! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Also, thanks to input from this thread the button is no longer 'depressing' :) now that I'm only pushing the top side of the button.

... OK OK it's too tempting. In fear of being annoying by posing questions that have been asked numerous times, if anyone has a free moment, here's what I'm looking at next:

I currently have a small stash of 1.25 dc cartos, 2 901 attys that are almost kaput and one 3.5 ohm Ikenvape mega carto that is on it's last breath.

From what I've been reading the 2-3 ohm range is what people prefer. I thought I'd order some attys/cartos at various ohm ranges, some kr808 or fusions, a drip shield, and a gadget of sorts that would allow a considerable amount of time between refills drip (buying/building a tank?).

I've put this question off but dang it I'll just post it. Sorry in advance but...gulp... what are folks using with their Darwins?

Is this the thread you refer to when buying new and upcoming gadgets for the Darwin? My main info sources are Nhaler's youtube channel, searching this thread, googling 'Darwin + ohm/tank', and the 'Vape like a research monkey' thread.

Thanks for your time Katdarling and thanks to everyone who posted/pm'ed me for their patience and input!

Off to finish that blasted poli-sci research paper but at least I have the Darwin and some low nic juice so I can vape my face off. :)

There is nothing I don't use on my Darwin ;-)

larger gear like tanks will prevent the arm from closing, but there's no need to close it, anyway (unless it's being pocketed or something). I actually like tanks on my Darwin, simply because I can hold the device at a more comfortable angle than I can with tube mods. LR stuff works just fine on the Darwin, but will drain your battery faster (for example, I can get a little over a day on a charge using 1.5 ohm dual coils, but two days + with 3 ohm attys). No matter what resistance you use, you'll still be able to dial in your sweet spot. In the case of dual coils, I've come to prefer the 2-2.5 ohm ones for my Darwin. The 3 ohm ones work great, but I find the throat hit and heat level to be more to my liking on a lower resistance DC, so there are slight differences in experience with those even set at the same wattage in my experience

In short, buy all the shiny toys you want 'cos they'll all work great :p

I spoke with Brandon from Evolv this morning regarding my dead Darwin. What a stand-up guy. The things just started working while I was on the phone with him, hopefully it stays with me this time.

I know it's been said a hundred times before, but the customer service from these guys is absolutely amazing! The company I work for builds entertainment systems for corporate jets. When a customer has a problem and call us, they are actually calling the cell phone of one of the engineers that built it, not a customer service specialist. That's exactly how I felt when I was speaking to Brandon, like I was speaking with someone who helped design the Darwin. It was something that I'm not used to, and it was a great experience. I love the design, the out-of-the-box thinking that went into it, and the great vape that it gives me day in and day out.

So now, everything is right in the world of Darwinia!

Thank you killjoy1! Dude I SO appreciate your time. It's significantly darn helpful. I feel like an oaf for asking elementary questions but I want to make sure I didn't miss some magic gadget or info I hadn't stumbled across. So thanks for your help and patience with my questions. Wishing you a superior Sunday, visitlynn

I have been using my Bulli A2 for the last 2 months. 1 1/2 months on the last coil, running at ~2.6 ohm. The latest coil is running 3.6 ohm. I'm usually about 5.8 watts on my fruity juices. Best vape is definitely on the Darwin.

Any charger with a mini USB connector should work fine. They even make cigarette lighter adapters that have a USB plug in them, then you just use a USB cable with that and you're good to go.

Some cars nowadays even have USB ports which will work for this purpose. I don't use mine for my Darwin, though, that one is occupied by a thumb drive loaded with mp3's . . . I hate driving without tunes and since I got this feature with my car I don't often bring CD's with me anymore

That said, I'll have a new toy to throw onto my Darwin soon. I finally scored a DCA this afternoon :vapor:

Maybe someone knows if there is a car charger that could be used for the Darwin, my power is knocked out a lot due to storms in my area, sometimes 5 days, so i would be grateful to know. Thank you.

I got one from radio shack. It was $3.99.

Congrats, KJ. I love my DCA. I won mine, so love it even more!!

Funny that we're on the topic of chargers. My D'win suddenly would not charge the other day. It felt to me like I got the dreaded loose usb port thing going on. But, it turned out to the charger itself. Now all's well.

i was thinking about getting one of those dcas, i wanna try the 306 but didnt want to deal with different drip tips and stuff,
ive been using 3ohm and i have a couple 4.5 ohm attys thta i normally use

I'd grab one right now because there are only a few left but I wanna wait for the 3 piece set. I doubt that any of my attys will fit the one that comes with it :(

Panks, what's the deal with the 3 piece set? Was it offered, then unavailable, then available? I thought they came with an MA atty instead of the different sized pieces? If you CAN get the 3 piece, I would definitely suggest that you are right to wait.
