For the new Darwin inductees, most of your questions are answered here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ything-you-ever-wanted-know-about-darwin.html

When you are finished reading, throw some catnip Katnip at Katdarling - she's earned it! Then you can sit back and vape on your new Darwin as you watch her roll around in joyous rapture while you enjoy a good laugh!

I love the welcoming that this group gives, so thanks for that! I feel like I'm joining a club rather than buying a mod!

...this isn't a cult, is it? ;)

Yep.

It's an extreme gigantomizer cult. It's a tight fit with only one stacked extension, easy going with two ego sized. I've always wanted to try it without risking just enough play for the thinner than plastic sized stuff to close.

So far I'm pretty impressed with the performance of these. ;)

I usually keep a 510 > 901 > 808 > 306 > 801 on mine. I know that's alot, but it's mainly for convenience. I've always got everything I need right there at hand. This also allows me to really tweak out my air flow.

For the bigger ones I like a goose neck. For $20. I'm told they'll make you a shorter one. I've found in certain situations something as big and heavy as a nice tank (for sitting around the house), I don't ever close. THAT button is not going to misfire on you.

Thank you, 'Brat, Ski-ster and Sir Credo.

Katnip~

You should be able to find one pretty cheap. I've seen car chargers with mini USB on the output end at Walmart for about five bucks, probably the same or cheaper online.

As for a USB charger I'm a little confused, just plug a USB cable in. The charge rate is regulated in the Darwin itself from what I understand, so any USB source should work fine

Quick question, Looking for a car charger and maybe a usb charger as well ( I only have the wall outlet charger) anyone have a great resource?

Thanks,
Gary

Any car charger with a miniUSB plug will work. Or if you have a USB cable with a miniUSB end, a car charger with a USB plug will be fine. I have a couple retractabe car chargers with interchangabe mini and micro USB ends that works well with both my Atrix (micro) and Darwin (mini) that I picked up at Target for ~$20.

i got a question i have the new one what are the error codes that i saw where the evolv logo is on the left it looked like a cig with a explanation point on it?

That means you have a short with your Atty connection, DO NOT keep hitting the power button when you see this, remove the Atty and check it on another PV or put a new Atty/Carto on the Darwin.

If I may, MWA is essentially correct. But I might add a little to it. That indicator IS telling you Darwin is detecting a short. If you are using adapters, the short could be in the adapter or atty/carto. It is also possible that your atty/carto may be treaded on too tight and that can also possibly be read by Darwin as a short. If the atty/carto IS shorted - it is possible that it may still work on other devices. Darwin short-circuit protection is sensitive to (justifiably) protect the Darwin components. If you try unthreading and then re-threading to only finger-tip snug (never thread anything onto Darwin more than finger-tip-turned snug) and you get the indicator again - do not use that atty/carto on Darwin again, but it may still work fine on other devices. If you are using an adapter - try using a different adapter.

However, MWA is 100% correct in saying - if you continue to get the shorted icon more than once, do not continue to attempt to fire the device. That icon (or, more accurately, the short protection feature activated when it appears) will prevent Darwin from firing for a few seconds. The first time you see this icon, follow the suggestions above and if you get the icon a second time - switch to different atty/carto and/or adapter.

Question: Any issues with plugging my Darwin into my computer USB 2.0 to charge it?? I have several USB cords around including mini and wondered if there were any hidden dangers of doing so.

EDIT: Found the answer I was looking for....seems to be fine to do. If wrong let me know before it arrives please....lol
