The Darwin From Evolv!!!

Not a problem.
As a general rule of thumb, if you have a device that has a USB port on it, you can plug the Darwin into it and not fear damage to either device. If it is indeed built to USB specs, it will be within a tolerable set of specifications for any USB device.
Some 'older' laptops and computers with really old USB specs might not be up to today's standards (hence why some portable drives and stuff sometimes have 'two' plugs on them [one plug only has an extra 5v line and ground in it], or an 'optional' wall wart), and may charge really slowly, or not at all; however, most of it going to be fine. If your laptop or computer is no more than 3 years old, you should be in great shape...it's meant to drive portable hard drives and other power hungry things
A few motherboards even have smart 'icharge boosters' on them for even faster charging.

Thanks for the replies all. I'm good with USB 2.0 then. I asked in case the Darwin had a "glitch" of some sort when it came to the port. Great device I'm sure....I don't wanna get talking about it too much only because I don't have it in hand yet and no need to get excited yet....lol....I'll save that for delivery day when I'm standing outside in 10 degree weather making sure USPS doesn't deliver to the wrong address as has happened to me before.....thanks again....
ooooo questions and mailman stalkers! monday we wont hear from any of them till late at night before its darwin cuddle time, lol have fun with the new toy! these are a very helpful group of people so dont hesitate to ask something. some threads you ask a question and get treated like like a newb, here we just answer or refer you to the place you need to go, trust me it was the friendly people here that made me want a darwin and it was my first real home on ecf
They were up for a very short while on Thursday, must not have been very many. I'm guessing from your post you didn't get one of those Chances are Drew only emailed the people that contacted him earliest if there were only a few, but I'm sure you'll get the notification the next time they show up. I know the waiting sucks, but it's worth it in the end. Hopefully it's not a long wait

Yeah, I sent in an email a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully he will have some more soon.
This is post 1000, i wanted it to be here because this is where i found my first home on ecf, everyone here was always helpful including drew and brandon, the darwin was the 1st device that truly got me off smoking and in 8 days it will be 6 months for me! so heres to post 1000! and to many more!
thank you! ive gotten my sister to quit to shes coming on three months, and a 2 friends to cut down half of what they smoked a day. my gf had quit smoking a couple years ago, and had a rough time doing it, but she wished she had gotten one of these to quit, she loves the idea (just not how much i spend and collect with them, lol)
speaking of... how many Darwins have been sold? Got to be a number out there!

why would it look like I'm getting juice around my darwin arm where it meets the body when all i have been using is my dca306 with the sealed 510 to 510 adapter is it juice or just some kind od lubricant that is from evolv i cleaned it the other day with q tips and its back again????????
