These are all just speculations for now.

Question Darwinians. So Im not sure if my darwin is giving my an accurate ohm reading. I'll state my case. So my old man just got his provari. He had a boge 3.0 ohm carto on there and that's what the provari said it was, 3.0 on the dot. My darwin said 2.6 for that very same carto. Also, my darwin has been telling me that my ikenvape 2.5 ohm atty is 1.9-2.1. It tells me most of my own boge 3.0 cartos I use are 2.4-2.6. Any ideas?

I do have a 510/ego adapter on there. So I took that off last night and put a 510/510 on the (MUCH shorter), and same result. I would just put the carto or atty on there with no adapter to check, and have tried, but the well on the brass arm is far to deep for the connector pins to touch. I have a really good multimeter, I'll dig it out and check.

So, in the event I have to send it in, what is the time frame, roughly, of the turn around? I know it is still under warrenty and I have the chain of ownership for that as well.

Just an idea but, doesnt the provari check resistance while the carto or atty is not being fired? Maybe once the atty or carto is fired it is dropping and that is when the Darwin is checking resistance. I just got my new Darwin a couple months ago so I have not had to deal with any warranty issues, but whenever I read about it, people always say its pretty quick unless evolv does not have the right parts. Good luck.

Its the Darwin. Its out of calibration. Threw the Atty on the multimeter with and without the adapter on it. 2.5 on the dot. 1.9 on the Darwin. Same with the boge cartos. 3.0 on the meter but 2.4 on the Darwin. So does this mean if its reading a lower ohm its pushing less voltage then it could? Seems about right.

Not necessarily. If atavanhalen is correct in his theory about the ohms lowering when firing, then your Darwin is in fact pushing out the "correct" voltage. I recall Brandon saying in an interview that the Darwin doesn't actually check ohms, it only monitors watts, meaning the displayed ohms are derived from the ohm's law calculations. That's assuming the cobwebs in my head are actually retaining things properly, of course

However, now that I think about it, my Darwin shows the same ohms (+/- maybe 0.1 or 0.2) as what I measure with my meter, so there may actually be something off with yours. Only way to find out for sure is to ask Evolv :2c:

Just for kicks I checked the resistance of my current 357 to compare to the Darwins reading and it was only off by .1. I am sure that you know about subtracting the resistance from the leads of the multimeter right? If by some chance you do not, after you take the ohms measurement on the multimeter, touch the two leads together and check the reading, whatever shows up is what you need to subtract from the ohms. Does that make sense? I apologize if you know all that, I promise I am not trying to come across as condescending, I am just trying to help figure this out. :)
