I'm here, when I'm here
I drink a lot of water. Constantly filling my glass all day. Coffee in the morning and water the rest of the day with the occasional Heineken or 2 ( or 3 or 4) after work. I've been fortunate to have never had vapors tongue (knock wood) and I only vape about 3 flavors.

A buddy of mine got it about a week after he started. He rinsed with a salt water solution (a little stronger than what you would use if you had a sore throat) and it worked for him.

Happy vaping!!:vapor:

Congrats that's awesome!!! Your blog deserves that exposure!!

Thank you so much! There are a few of us working for this blog and we LOVE what we're doing...definitely a labor of love trying to get a new site off the ground.

I'm so OVER THE MOON right now. The only sounds I can articulate are AAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and EeeEEEEeeeEEEeeeEEEeee (much to my husband's dismay).

You lucky dog! I got it once when I first started...but it legit lasted 2 weeks. I'm just so glad I didn't fall for the tampon thing. Gum and huffing coffee worked for me, that and staying hydrated :) But it only temporarily relieved the symptoms so I'd have to keep smelling coffee randomly at my desk and look like an idiot or look like a cow chewing gum all day....but anything to stay off the smokes!

I second the neti pot, it's helped me. I also switch out flavors... I have two flavors that I use at work exclusively, and then one of three tobacco juices, a clove ejuice and one of several fruity ones always loaded into tanks. One of the reasons I've collected tanks and have them all different enough to know what's in them at a glance.

Neti pots scare me so much! I haven't ever mustered up the courage to use one....this is coming from the weird kid who used to wear nose plugs in the pool - don't judge me XD

However, it makes perfect sense that a netti pot would work! Re-hydrating and clearing out your sinuses at the source...

What scares you? Fear of drowning or just that it will make you gag and hurl lol

Spoke too soon. Jinxed my self. Got it this morning after just getting a fresh supply of my favorite liquid - Blueberry Waffle with Extra Maple Syrup (extra flavor) AND I CAN'T TASTE IT!!!!!:evil::mad:

So, which one works best? Coffee grounds, lemon, menthol or ginger and how long will it last or will this "vape tongue" crap take days to go away? Basically, what's the quick, lasting fix?

Help me! Help me! (Simply Red in panic mode right now)

I brush my mouth (teeth, tongue, cheeks) with baking soda and water. I also drink lots of water. I add a pinch of sea salt occasionally to help balance electrolytes. Almost knocked myself out with low serum sodium discovered in a routine blood test. Dr suggested adding some salt to my diet and he thought this was a good way.

What I mostly drink is good ole H2O, all day, every day. Just got back from a vape store and tried some of their menthol flavors (hey, it was free) and that worked a little. Tasted funny 'cause I'm not a big menthol fan. Bought some other flavors of liquid for rotation. Wish me luck. :D

(This really sucks. And yes, I'm being a whinny a**. :|)

Panic over! Lets see. Huffed coffee, vaped some menthol (not very tasty IMHO), scrubbed my tongue several times for several minutes, drank about 2 gallons of H2O, rinsed with pickle juice cause plain vinegar is just nasty, swished with salt water and bought 5 new e-liquid flavors. Mouth feels funny and sinuses are clear but, i can taste my Blueberry Waffle with Extra Maple Syrup now.:2cool::toast::thumb:

Thanks to all for the suggestions and the support!!!:thumbs:

Happy Vaping!! (I am!) :vapor:
