I will never make any money as I just like my ideas to be scrutinized.
And I'm away from home again, for the next 12 days or so.
So no playing for me, all I can do is think, talk and vape.

Try this one in the brain storming mix

TWalkers thread is looking at precision liquid injection.
The Items chapstick, stick deodorant, glue stick, came up in conversation.
I'm not duplicating his great thread but what if these items were also used for atty retraction.
I work in construction and the atty on my mod is sticking out of the box.
I'm concerned I may break it, if I bend over and its in my pocket.
It would be nice to retract it within the unit, with all connectors still attached.
These items I think could do this
Opinions Please.

Petercro..........

True. But could you perhaps keep the atomizer completely internal? It would keep it protected, and you would simply have to pop in a cartridge/mouthpiece and be good to go. I realize the issue there would be heat of the atomizer being contained in the box, and possible airflow problems, but I'm sure both could be handled in some way with some venting. Perhaps even a microfan? Might help keep the batteries cooler as well.

<You can't tell it from the title, but it should sound like a Dalek saying it...>
MkII (Tardis) materialized in OKC today. Battery charged. So far, so good.
Nice, rich taste to it...

Not bad at all....:D

Thanks, Petercro!

Mmm no problem. The stuff I consider off limits I wouldn't post, I put that up so we could open source that idea. It is more valuable to me out here with other minds adding to it than keeping it for myself.

And again you shared some great stuff.

The sidewinder was made by Tinear (as was the mAhmba! pic attached).

My current mod I'm trying to finish has a retractable mouthpiece/atty (atty stays mostly inside the case with a mouthpiece that's flush when not in use). Hopefully I get it done this week and pics up when complete (damn springs!!!!)

very sweet.

(clyde-did you get your AFS?) btw, petercro, have you (and/or anyone else - Mike. Mr., TW?) checked out the GG/AFS (automatic feed system) setup? looks like a side-fill to the atty, clyde? is it check-valved or?

Those were way back too. I could never figure why someone didn't mass produce or financially back those two. Or perhaps they are as we speak. They were way ahead of what we are doing as far design/looks.

I don't mean to dismiss what we are doing but sticking stuff in RS project boxes and altoid tins is fairly crude.

All in good time I guess. Keep marching....

Yes I first saw it here in the the Indulgence thread and then on the French language forum. Pretty nifty but not my style.

It was originally a french thing I think.

Would the spring be too violent or is it smooth.

I've got a couple different springs that will work, I'm to the point of needing to mounting it so I'll use one that does the job without too much force (and of course I could cut one if needed). For the atty/mouthpiece movement I'm using an extension spring (as I wasn't happy with my initial thought of using a compression spring).

The build would have been fairly easy if I had picked a larger case for it. I wanted one as small as possible so I've gone with a plastic case (though not a batt. box, it's slightly smaller than a 3AA box) and fitting everything inside and in an ergonomic layout was a challenge.

Mike is correct.
But I do have some other hobbies which take up some of my time.
I Make floors.
Terrazzo to be precise. And most of my work is within (I'm ashamed to say) pharmaceutical construction. Or Clean-Room environments.
I design, Diamond Polish and install antistatic clean-room floors.
And it is bloody cold here in Wales. UK.
