Hi All,

I don't know if I'm just old fashioned or stubborn, but after trying the Clear tanks, the regular single and dual coil Echo cartomizers are far more reliable and longer lasting. Am I doing something wrong?

I'll take clearos any day over cartos. My best example is vaping VR's Cinnamon Roll using both types. When I used the carto my first thought was that was little to no taste so why spend money on this particular brand. Then I received my first iTurbo and filled it with the same flavor. Then I said to myself. "Oh so that's what it's supposed to taste like.". The difference is very pronounced in favor of the clearos.

I agree they are the same principal but not necessarily the genuine article. The authenticity rests with the vendor. I prefer the plain vanilla clearos as opposed to the colored ones, especially with all that wicking hanging around. They are supposed to be version 2 but I prefer to let someone else test the new ideas.

once you get past the version ones and twos...
However I noticed hangsen had the 2.5ohm with whistletips and a few days later Smotek had them. I assumed he got them there (or they were the same ones hangsen was offering). I have liked those the best but haven't ordered new ones since. They all change, copy and adapt so quickly I could be giving outdated info. LOL!

But it's true. My echomizers are used for travel and less and less so because the clearos are getting more reliable.

Has anyone tried the pheonix 808s yet?

I do like the ones from smoktek too but mostly because of the flat tip. I haven't tried the 808 phoenix mostly because they don't hold enough juice and they wouldn't look very good on an Echo without a cone. I don't think they have the 3ml version in a 808 but they might and would look better than the skinny 1.5.

iTurbo type clearos:
For anyone who does dry burns with the little opaque plastic cover removed by force I just pulled the little metal disk that goes through the plastic top all the way through the plastic and out the top of the clearo. That's one clearo down and I'll never do it again. I did notice that the disk part of the metal seems smaller than the others have and the plastic top is a little more flimsy than before. YMMV

I've done this a few times, I just pull the plastic cover out, do my little mod, put the metal piece back in the plastic cover and put the whole thing back with needle nosed pliers.

That would be doable except that the plastic "hat" has a hole in it from the hemostats pinching it while I "encouraged" it to come out the top. Oh well..........live and learn.

Lulu I have a plastic hat or two with puncture marks as well, but it doesn't seem to affect anything. If its dead its dead, but don't give up on that piece prematurely! Did it cause issues for you when vaping?

And what charlz said :)

I'm not complaining or anything just commenting on my experience. It surprised me more than anything else.

I'm sure this has been explained before but this is a very large thread. I'm about to buy a Echo kit and I'm curious if there is much difference in performance between the 1100mAh and the 1300mAh battery's. I would rather go with the smaller battery if possible but if the 1300mah is a lot better then I would rather go ahead and go all out. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't have any of the 1100's myself. Not very many vendors carry them, most just have 650 and 1300's. I know one of the members on here has a 1100 but I can't remember who that is. There is probably a two or three hour difference in charge capacity. I tested my first 1300 when I got it and it lasted about 16 hours of steady vaping. I don't keep track anymore and don't know how much vaping time I get on older batteries. The Echo 1300 is the same length as the ego 1000.

I don't have any 1100s either.........just 650s and 1300s. Love the non-stealth models but they are quickly becoming "last year's big thing". Don't know what the big rush to stealths is because the FAA is about to put the hammer down on even having ecigs in checked or carry on luggage in the spring according to an article I read this morning and no I don't remember where it was.
