I purchased one of the igo kits from tropical. It seems like to good of a deal to pass up. I'll post back and let everybody know how it goes as soon as I receive it. Wish me luck.
Curiousity killed the cat, and nailed my wallet, too. Never one to pass up on what may be a true bargain, I ordered the "igo" kit as well, and received it in the mail today. As we speak, one of the 900's is on the charger it came with.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this sure looks like an Echo. If it's not, it's a dead ringer! The box was somewhat similiar, although half the size the red & gold lettering proclaiming, "Electronic Cigarette.", It's the same type presentation with a velvet covered holder for the bats, and two boxes with the same insignia (gold on a black background) underneath. One contained the usb charger & battery, the other the carts. On the bottom of the box there's "SGS" in white with "Made in China" underneath.
Upon examination and out of the clear plastic wrapping, I cannot tell any difference whatsoever in the carts (Single coil? They're solid black like the single coil ones I have) or the batteries. I have both the 650 and the 1100 Echoes, and the size is right in between. The battery has the black finish (not rubberized) of the first 650 Echo I bought a few months back. There is NO difference in the threading. Upon closer examination, the LED light structure under the plastic cover did appear to be slightly different. However, when I compared it to one of the 1st Echoes I had purchased, it was identical. Lit up, it's blue, just like the others.
The included USB charger is IDENTICAL, right from the wording-to the input/output info-to the "hard to see red light" that you must be looking directly at to see if it's on. The wall adapter, although the exact same size and shape had a label which was ONLY thing I could find that is different from the ones I have. The sticker on the "igo" says, "Switching Power Supply, Model CP050050, whereas the Echo says Model STD-M2. Input on the Echo states 90-250VAC 50/60Hz 100mA, where the one on the IGO says: Input:100-240V - 50/60Hz 0.3A. On the Output, the Echo says 5V 500mA wheras the Igo says 5V 0.5A.
I'm not knowledgeable enough to make a call on this one, but it sure is enough to make one go, "hmmmmmmm." I'll report back once the charging is complete and I fire her up. Reckon it'll take as long as the Echo? Lol.
