wow that's interesting.

was this the V4L tank with 808 DCC?

no no, I failed to mention this wasn't even 808, it was map tank with smoktek 510. I use it with my 5 volt wow/woo when I need fast strong vape with no filling for my short smoke breaks at work. Echo DCC works well on it too, although some juices get slightly scorched. So lately I have been keep an echo juice for max flavor, a wow juice for max nic, and a SD key ring juice in a mini carto for caffeine, and my LT on hand for whenever one of the batteries die.

^^LOL I carry alot of stuff, will probably stick with mostly the echo in my lanyard for the summer because I can't get away with my jacket filled with goodies anymore.

the echo has become my read a book, watch a movie, relax vape. Although, once I take up the modding endeavor again I'm sure I can make it perform as fast and hot as I need it to for short smoke breaks.--I work 10 pm to 7 am so the breaks are more about getting re-stimulated rather than relaxing.

2.5 ohms is the sweet spot for the echos. 2.0 made hot steam, even at short puffs. Think DCC but half the flavor. I've had good luck just taking the stock coil and rewrapping 4 nice coils and snipping the tails. You really need to have good light once the tails are snipped. A jewelers cap (with the light and magnifying lens) is on the things to buy list. But I have one that actually comes out to 2.3 and it's not bad. Great for bringing out the more woody side of pipe vapes.

That's interesting with the smoktek. They make a vertical 808 but I believe the leads are welded. Probably why they stayed intact even when the base popped loose.

Errol, since you bring it up :)

What's this I read about it not putting out the voltage it says its putting out? One user said something about it running at more like 6 volts when its set to 4 volts? That's really my only reservation at this point.

Will I do well with an adaptor for 808 items?

And this is the price for shipped tube only, no batteries/charger correct?

To avoid offending the regulars any further with an off topic subject I've sent you a PM. :)

well.....I haven't tested mine since it suddenly decided to work right. But mine has a steady decline. How much did you measure it? That size battery won't be able to stay at that high of a regulated voltage for very long. That's why most regulated batteries are regulated at the midpoint about 3.6v.

If it is, it could be why the battery still has a slightly shorter life than my 1100 led version. But it's not that much shorter. I would imagine regulating the battery at max would cut it's run time by a few hours.

Keep measuring it. Fresh....two hours later.....five hours later......right before you notice it's about to drop.......

that's what I was thinking, and thus I conclude its regulated after all.

but charlz disagrees, and he's sharper than me on this, so I wanted to see what he thought about it

I've never tested a regulated 3.7v bat, all of mine are Rivas and I've used my in line volt reader on them. I just finished an adapter so I can test my VV units that won't register on my Mad Vapes volt reader.

I don't have the ability to measure under load but the battery will be used tomorrow. I'll check in periodically with voltage updates. I've posted this before but these echos seem to defy the status quo with what we know and look for in hardware. We have three hundred pages of trying to figure it all out.

They work and they are awesome. Isn't that enough?

victoria's stealth (VaporGirl) with the 10 sec cutoff. I'm not going to bother testing the led version 'till we know if we can get more. As I have a good stock of batteries it will be awhile till I buy and test the new stealth. Cyrus made some sort of load tester and reported a consistent voltage. But I don't know if he measured it again throughout the day.

12:45- (more moderate vaping .4ml) 3.95v
