Hi kren...........try raising the battery post up just a little bit.......that may fix the charging problem. For cleaning the juice well on the batteries, a toothpick dipped in alcohol and pushed around the perimeter of the post should get rid of a lot of the "green stuff". Also take a pin or a needle and ream out the two holes in the side of the threads on the battery. HTH

Thanks, Lulu!

<Hope Charlz is OK too>

X2 on Charlz. I emailed him yesterday, was thinking the same thing. I am hopeful that he's just in bliss with his ego twist and T2 :)

Let us know if you hear from him. I get worried about friends on here that disappear. A couple of months ago I sent an ecf friend an Echo Kuwako because he was hurting financially and I had an extra one but I never heard back from him and it turned out he had died of a stroke or heart attack the day he was supposed to get the package.
On a happier note I have been using the T2's on my ego threaded PV's and I like them better than the Vision 2's mainly because they hold more juice and vape good too. I had problems with the E-1 I tried although it produced very good flavor. Here is a cheap place to get Kanger T2's if anyone wants to try one without spending a lot. They are 4.25 each and five packs of heads for 6.50 if you use Code Ecig. They also provide free shipping. eGo 2.4ml CC Coil Changeable clear cartomizer clearomizer

lulu let us know if they leak like the non rebuildable ones do.
If you set a clearo on a paper towel overnight, upright, I find some of them leak very badly

I took mine apart this afternoon and I'm not sure the "rebuildable" part is gonna work out. The knurled bottom that you have to remove was really, really difficult to unscrew. I entertained thoughts of running over it with my car but decided that would probably not be very effective. So finally with a lot of cursing and a needle-nose pliers I got it loose enough to take off the tube. I put on a new head and put everything back where it is supposed to go and am now detecting a very, very small ooze from the bottom of the clear part and from where the knurled knob is. I'll post more when I know for sure.

Yeah I know what you mean. It was kind of sad though he was really looking forward to trying it but I don't think he got to. He was an Indian Storyteller and a little different but a really nice person. He was a regular contributer on our old folks thread and so I knew something was wrong when he didn't let me know he received it but was hoping it was just a computer crash but alas it was the final crash so to speak. :(

The regular Vision clearos leak a little bit, but I rarely use anything else.

Thats sad that he didn't get to try it out, and the "final crash" is the worst:(

still nothing, I emailed him the other day. I remember he was getting a bit tired of forum and tinkering insanity, so I'm hoping he's just on break.

I should have my T2, Turbo II and E1 today. I'm hoping there is some flavor improvement over the old stardust/I turbo.

Hi everybody, I have been reading alot of the old and this thread posts. It is really too bad that there is so much "out with old" and "in with the new" in this EC world.

I am impressed, Tumble, that you tried so many things and found the Echo to be such a sweet spot for you. Is the Echo still your primary and if so, with what juice delivery system? I saw that you got the X2, but did not see how you like it after the not so good one got replaced?

Anybody, can the x2 be used with ECHO cartomizers?

Also, I saw a post a little while back here, but can't find now, about the ECHO batteries being smaller than the X2?

I am going between the Echo and the X2 auto in wondering what to purchase, seems like the X2 would have better customer service and be around longer. But the set up with the ECHO and the ECHO cartomizers seems like what I am looking for -- a long lasting reliable relatively hassle fee vape!

Any feedback appreciated.

Welcome Angela to the thread and glad you have found it useful. I've been using an Echo for a year and a few months. It is not my primary device right now but I do use it quite a bit everyday. I got into the VV PV's so I have to use them too to justify all the money I spent on them. lol Vaping has become a hobby so I like to try most everything that comes out.
The X2 seems to work about the same as the Echo although I don't use it much because of the threads. It has ego type threads for a cone type 808 carto. The echo cartos and clearos will work on it but do not look as good because of the threads. They are both the best auto batteries I have found and I like auto batteries especially with my Kuwako pipe and is what I mainly use with the Echo.
I like the echo best though because of the size factor and the price.
I hope I answered your questions and you can't go wrong with an echo kit in my opinion if you like an auto battery.
I don't think you have to worry about Echos not being around, there are several suppliers that have the Echo as their main PV and they have good service just not the big following like the Volties. lol

I have Echo's and Manual X2 style batteries. I love the Echo's, but I love the X2 style manuals just a wee bit more.
I find the X2 style give me a better "hit". Maybe it's my imagination I don't know.
Also the X2 manuals can be used as a passthru.
I cannot comment on the X2 automatic batteries as I don't own any.

Their regular volt is a 808 d but their Volt X2 which is similar to the Echo has 808d with cone threads like an ego. More similar to a Vgo or Igo.

Was also curious about it's popularity, what is the draw to it vs the Echo or any of the many other brands available? Higher voltage for better performance?

The reason I ask is I was going to give/send a newbie a couple of batteries along with everything else he would need for a months use before having to decide how he wanted to go and in the middle of our discussions he bought a Volt kit. One reason was he wanted an auto unit and I couldn't help him there though I did link him to this forum but he apparently ended up in the Volt forum. :)

better advertising on the part of Volt I'd say

its all 3.6 regulated with a draw tight enough to give you an aneurysm, gen 2 808 city across the board :)

EDIT: When I converted my uncle to vaping I sent him to SI because of their customer service, consistent stock etc. I didn't want to get him hooked on something that would be hard to find parts for eventually. All he uses now is his X2 manuals. I can't even get him interested in an ego twist lol.

They make a good cig size pv and once they become a Voltie they keep them in the fold. They very seldom venture out to try other PV's. Hardly any would even think about trying a fat bat until Volt came out with one and then they all thought they were great. lol It has been kind of interesting to watch. Their auto X2 is much more expensive than the echo but that doesn't seem to matter.:tumble:
