I started with the ciggy sized 808's. not volt, but generic. Graduated to the Echo. Then tried the Manual X2 style (amp by vapor nine, 02 vapor , and an X2) and I must say I like the X2 style better than the Echo. I can dry burn with them, I can heat my coil b4 taking a draw, etc.

Lot's of people like a manual better than the autos. If we are talking about manual fat batts I would recommend the Kgo, or Twist and they have many more options for different cartos. They are coming out with a vv Kgo similar to the Twist with led that should be interesting.

better advertising on the part of Volt I'd say

its all 3.6 regulated with a draw tight enough to give you an aneurysm, gen 2 808 city across the board :)

EDIT: When I converted my uncle to vaping I sent him to SI because of their customer service, consistent stock etc. I didn't want to get him hooked on something that would be hard to find parts for eventually. All he uses now is his X2 manuals. I can't even get him interested in an ego twist lol.

Hi Cyrus, I'm so far removed from anything but a 510 thread I don't even know what the S1 and X2 are.

The eGo Twist and the newer 3 to 6v eGo version along with the Wow aka Woo are high on my list of great little power units. Find myself going back to my originals, the MV VV Box Mod for my high demand vaping, hardly use my VMax anymore.

They make a good cig size pv and once they become a Voltie they keep them in the fold. They very seldom venture out to try other PV's. Hardly any would even think about trying a fat bat until Volt came out with one and then they all thought they were great. lol It has been kind of interesting to watch. Their auto X2 is much more expensive than the echo but that doesn't seem to matter.:tumble:

Thanks Tex, maybe that was a good place for my newbie to start instead of my mishmash of freebies. :)

hey all, alive and well. Just been very busy. Still vaping on the echo and my twist/t2 for home use. I have discovered that the wider metal nipple of the t2 can be placed in the iturbo/ce4s. You'll either have to mod the silicone sleeve or snip down the silicone sleeve that comes on the t2 head. It helps with the draw which has been my major issue with the ce4s on auto batts. It still doesn't do much to help the condensation gurgles but it's easier to blow out.

Kren, I saw your post. Definitely time to get a new battery. Also, make sure you are cleaning your charger contacts with rubbing alcohol and "ear cleaning thingies". It's time to clean them when you have to play with the connection by twisting and backing off the battery to get a good connection

Other than that, how are the replaceable head turbos?

Hi Charlz............glad to see your bright and shining avatar. So far the rebuildable turbos are (for me) somewhat hit or miss. Dennis at Mtvapes called me after I attached a note to an order for a second one. The first one I received was apparently cross-threaded on the bottom since it took a pair of needle-nose pliers to unscrew it. When I screwed it back on a very slow ooze of liquid started from the top of the bottom tank metal ring and from the bottom knurl "thingy". It was then that he called me so he could get a better grip on what I was talking about. He sent me a replacement which I fired up this morning and so far so good. The vapor has a really good volume with the one commercial juice I use @ 80/20 and will fog up a room when using the 60/40s that I concoct. It did not work at all with a couple of my Echos but I raised the battery post a good bit and that was the problem. I like tham a lot will probably order more for I'm really impressed with the rebuildable feature.

Still haven't had the chance to get a decent camera, cool_breeze. The t2s have the same metal piece that fits on top of the posts of the ce4 but they are more open instead of nipple shaped, which you know, has been my main gripe with the ce4/turbo types. It's too narrow a hole for a proper draw. Every t2 head comes with one so I have plenty. If you haven't had the chance to try one, I recommend them. If you aren't using a 510 though for anything, it's a moot point. The main reason I like them (besides the amazing flavor and no break in period) is because the carb holes can be lined up to the button and you can play with the airflow as you push the button. Makes the draw adjustable almost like an auto. When I get more, I'll let you know. I'd be happy to send extra metal top parts to anyone who doesn't have a fat 510.

Now I need more echomizers so I guess I'm about to get some turbo IIs as well. So you'll have to wait. lol.

I must have snagged the last one. Sorry.

;) Oh well........maybe he'll have some more in the future. IDK if I like them or don't like them. Daniel has been super nice but I'm just not sure about these clearos. I only have one and if it has juice in it and it has been sitting idle for a while on my desk, when I pick it up there is an almost infinitesimal ring of juice around the bottom between the plastic and the bottom of the clearo. I haven't bothered to measure but I *think* I'm using more juice in that clearo than in the iTurbo I've been using for several months. Either the quantity of juice it holds is less or it's burning juice way faster than I'm used to.

My first Echo battery I purchased, died on me yesterday. It was well loved, and I got my moneys worth 100 times over. Kinda proud of the whole thing. I owned this so long I don't even remember how old it is. I do remember at the time of purchase people on this forum were still asking what the difference between atomizers and the "ALL NEW" cartomizers were. I believe Ego's only had one main model at the time, and a 900mah big bat was the cats pajamas. I would send it off in a cigar coffin, but don't want to hurt the environment.

Have a great holliday everyone.:)

I'm gonna vape my favorite DIY black licorice, anis, horehound, liquid smoke(black fire) in honer of all my amazing friends here. CHEERS:vapor:

Mine isn't dead...from november but I noticed it's only good for half a day. I'm thinking of getting the vfast kit and putting it through the paces for everyone.

I also have to apologize. Seems in my modding of my old turbos, I must have widened the post slots. There is NO WAY a t2 metal top piece will fit on the new turbo 2. Sorry. I was wrong. I apologize. Still need a good solution to figuring out the congested draw of these things.

Lulu mine was leaking and it came with a crack in the plastic, they sent me a replacement but I'm in CA right now so I can't test the new unit :)

Charlz: As I told you boring out the air intake hole didn't work for me, the draw didn't even get that airy but the Echo wouldn't fire without a hurricane suck.

My next move was going to be to bore out the wick slots or deepen the air intake slots on the base.
