It's a shame you can only get the 350's in a kit. It'd be nice if VaporGirl sold the batteries and cartos separately. Let us know how they work out. I'm worried they may be too small for a fat batt.

I've got so much crap coming to put this Echo through it's paces. Three adapters, 3 cartomizers, a Crystal Clear from NHaler, a drip tip and I even ordered some 510 tanks and attys from Revolver in case my 901's don't work.

Hopefully by next paycheck Northwest vapors will have their inventory in. If not I may have to spring for a cheap Colibri kit because I'd like to try that out as well.

Yeah I don't want a 1300 for sure, I don't know if that's all that exists now or if thats just all that's in stock though. I was hoping the latter!
The 1300's seem to be a dying breed. And since Drew only offers the standard Echo as a 1300, I doubt he'll do any different with the Revolver.

It'd be nice if someone else got their hands on the revolver in different sizes and colors. Choice is good.

You don't have to get the 350 autos in a kit fro The Vapor Girl, but it is a wierd way to find them. They are 15.99 a piece, and I am going to try to find a coupon tomarrow.

1) The Vapor Girl home page
2) Click-batteries sold separately
3) Click-Military batteries
4) Click-808 colors
A) drop down of colors and battery sizes

Yeh, its almost as if they don't want to sell them. Ha ha

Was cleaning and dry burning a Echomizer single coil, and saw that on one side of the coil all the wick was gone or never there. I took the smallest piece of cotton and twisted one end and pushed it onto the top of the coil with some poking out. I wet the cotton with a drop of juice. My god the thing is vaping better than new. I'm gonna do this next time just to see if I am on to something or just got some odd ball luck. Maybe a single coil duel wick?

Also, I got tired of looking all over for my Echos so I got a custom leather holster for my Echos. Holds 2 Echos, Rich thick leather(like 1/8" and soft as butter) and built like a tank. Check 'em out at ecigholster.com. $20.00 for a single. my duel was only $31.00 and included shipping. This will out live me. Truely a work of art. Serenity, anthother holster maker, that does great work, sadly does not like to do Ego style holsters, Thats why I luckily found ecigholster.com. Great folks, excited to help.

that doesn't surprise me one bit marauder, I rebuild everything with cotton and bamboo! though I've never done it, even half way, with an echomizer :)

where are you getting cartos from these days? I remember there were some quality control issues with with some vendors back when I was trying the echomizers.

Thanks!

Do they sell the Echomizers separately too? I've looked all over and I can only find them in the kit. I've already got a CE4+ from Nhaler, so I don't really need another.

Cyrus, I still have some left from Bill and D&BGold. Ha, man did I buy a lot of 'em. I am starting to get a little on the low side. I have been taking them appart cleaning, dry burning, ect. and running them for all they are worth. I have one that has gone almost 2 months with use every other day. About the third dry burn they like to pop a coil, and it takes a while to learn to re wrap them well. I always push the filler down a bit to keep the coil wet.

As to quality, I always run a flashlighjt under the Echomizer by cupping my hand around the head of the flashlight so the extra light is blocked off and look down the top of the Echomizer to see if the coils is centered. if not, I run a sewing needle up the bottom and gently push it to where it needs to be. 9 out of 10 are fine, but these are the old ones. When I rebuild them is when I find that they move from me taking them appart.

Thank's Cyrus for stepping in. Nice to see you here. Lots or good stuff from Los Marauder too! Had a busy few days there. There's a couple of solutions on modding an adapter to work with the new sealed connections on the 808s. For me, I had an ample amount of adapters. I simply took the center post out of one adapter that had open posts on both sides and put it in the 909 to 808 adapter. Make sure you have the shorty variety that is simply the threads and center post separated by a rubber gasket. There are still some old variety adapters that are longer and much harder to mod.

If you have a dremel tool you can also remove the center post and grind a slot in it like Cyrus did. Eventually we have all abandoned the concept of putting the awesome 901 hardware on the echo. (I still have a couple of the old style echos with unprotected center posts that can take a 901 atty that still work and I baby those)

I also still use my echomizers but strictly single coil. And I recoil them to be about 2.5 ohms instead of the standard 3.0. Makes a huge difference and if you learn to take them apart, you can clean and reuse them for months. It's usually the wick that goes first before the coil actually burns out. Cotton thread is awesome in an echomizer but only lasts a day or so before things start tasting funny to me. But it actually takes less than a minute to tweeze the old cotton out and string new cotton through the coil.

I used to make a killer mod using ce2 guts inside a ce4 shell but can no longer find good ce2s for 808s. The sites I used to buy them from started putting out "new and improved" 808 ce2s that sucked and then sort of buried the 808 line saying there was a lack of interest.

I'm still waiting on my adapters to come in. Hopefully they will come in today. Unfortunately I don't have a dremel, and I'm unwilling to buy one to modify my e-cig equipment.

The dual coil cartos are definately too strong for my flavors. They are good for my menthol ice though, especially when I'm drinking. I've tried cleaning and reconstructing cartos in the past but it didn't work out for me.

I'm actually liking NHaler's Stardusts on my Echo. It's odd, because I never liked them on a manual. I agree, 2.4 ohms seems to be the sweet spot. Anyone know if the heads for NHaler's Stardusts will fit on the ones from VaporGirl? I'd rather have the clear black ones over the glass.

2 of my adapters have come in. Both the 801-901 and the eGo-808 adapters, and both work perfectly fine on the Echo. Unfortunately I'm no longer liking the taste of the tanks. :( Is this because it's been a couple of weeks now since I've used them, or the atomizers? I'll find out once my 808 battery extender arrives. Hopefully it will at least work as well as the other 2.

The echomizer is built like no other cartos. They are almost designed to come apart. It took two other folks on this forum to convince me to try but once I did, well it was my intro to modding stuff and the basics of understanding how these things truly work.

With the Stardusts/ce4s/turbos etc, just make sure you get the echo ones and be careful it's not for cone threads. Most of the standard echo dealers have them usually under the "turbo" name. Otherwise it's usually ce4+ for echo. Clearos are already far past the ce4 stage but we seem to be stuck there on the echos.

Hi guys..........just passing through. Hope everyone had good holidays. While I'm thinking about it I need an adapter to use Vision Vivi Nova tanks on my remaining inventory of Echo batts as those tanks NEVER leak. I've looked around a lot and can't find a specific adapter in the description so I've not ordered one yet. I even stil have about 6 non-stealth Echos that are still in their wrappers so I need to use them to give the Spinners a break now and then.

Charlz - The next Echomizer I toss I'll look up the old posts about tearing it apart. i'm just not sure if I'm willing to buy a multimeter and everything else necessary to rebuild them. But it may be useful to know how to do, just in case they stop production on them.

And I know where to find the CE4's. ;) I'm just wondering has anyone tried using the atomizer heads from 1 supplier on another's body? I'll find out next week anyway, because I'm going to order one from VaporGirl.

lulu - The 808-eGo adapter is working fine with my 510 atomizers and my wife's Stardusts. I think they have a 510-808 adapter which should work just as well.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I got the adapter from MadVapes. The 801-901 adapter is also working great, if anyone wants to use an 801 atomizer on their Echo.

I think next paycheck I'll be grabbing a carto tank and maybe a punch tool. Are the V4L tanks worth it, or should I just build my own?

oh, you meant the replaceable heads? They are all interchangeable. No matter what the battery threads are. Which is good because if you want to try one in a lower ohm you'll have to get one meant for the 510/vision ones.

V4l ones are expensive but nice because they have the flange. I got a bad pair of pre punched and never went back for more. No matter what I did, they just wouldn't wick. It's wise to get your own punch so you can adjust and so you can use the horizontal coil 808s in them. Tanks are a whole different learning curve for you to have fun with.

Can't recommend strongly enough to run to walmart and spend 15 bucks or so on a multimeter. Enen if you aren't modding, you'd be surprised at the variance in some of these cartos and it tells you for certain if it's doa.

Last I remember, you were also blessed to still have some of the original, unprotected batteries kicking around. You can get the 808 to 510 or 808 to ego adapters and use them on those batteries. As a bonus, maybe they'll work on the sealed batteries too.

Hey Cyrus, what do you use with the Echo if not echomizers or a CE4?

CE2 with an echomizer shell turned into a cone alla Charlz :)

man you still have those, good for you! everything breaks in my vape room lol

Been a long time buddy :) My uncle just ordered from myvaporstore recently (he's very unimpressed with all my RBAs, claims the CE2 is the holy grail LMAO. he's still very much a "smoker" in that he's found what he likes and hates anything else. I envy him honestly) and he says they're the same as GotHypez. I know GV said they were having issues with the company and were having CE2s made by someone else now, no idea what happened but they do have something from somewhere in stock now. That said I'm kind of lukewarm on my old go to CE2s these days, not sure if the quality of the last batch dropped or if my tastes have just been spoiled by using other gear for too long.

Even tried the X2 auto and the SI CE3s. LOL. What a POS CE3s are, my persistence in trying to get them to make me happy cracks me up sometimes.

For whatever reason the form factor has been big for me lately. Using clunky mods/RBAs at home is fine, but when I'm on the move I want something thats relatively low profile and doesn't look cobbled together. I'm even considering trying the eRoll out (co op forming now), or an ego C set up. Love the look of the Echo with an echomizer, maybe I'll pick a few single coils up and rebuild them at 2.5.

Charlz are you avoiding the dual coils for fear of cooking your battery, or because they are no good these days?

Anyway, good to chat with you gents and ladies, be back soon
