Product review of the Smileomizer: It produces clouds of vapor, like the dual coil cartos, BUT I cannot get past the big honkin' tip. It's the width of the carto, which is identical in size to an Echo carto but does not taper. The end is rubbery, and screws on, so it's a nicer fit than the crappy generic tips that Echo cartos come with, and it's not as hard on my teeth as the drip tips I got a year ago and love.

But the tip, while rounded, is too big for me. And I doubt I'd be able to find a replacement tip; this seems to be proprietary to the Smileomizer.

The Smileomizer is easier to fill than the Echo, because of its lack of taper. There is much more room in the top to drip juice in -- and the white tube sticks up much farther, so you can get a nice little lake going and wait for it to soak in.

But I won't be buying more, because despite the longevity claims, after a week the juice started getting harsh, just like in a regular Echo carto when it's time to throw on a new one..

That's a lot of additional money to spend for basically the same amount of time vaping on a carto.

Funny -- when I took off the Smileomizer carto and switched back to my trusty Echo cartos, I felt like I was vaping a toothpick. It was THAT noticeable.

Meanwhile, HELP! Can't find a 1300mah Echo batt in stock ANYWHERE. What's going on???

Nice review. The Smileomizer sounds great, if you're willing to spend almost $20.00 for a carto. It'd be nice to see this at a more affordable price.

Northwest has 1300 in stock. Looks like their prices have gone up a bit. I knew the smileomizer would rock on the echo. Wonder how easy it comes apart.

How reliable has the echo 650 mAh automatic batteries been?

They definitely put up with my abuse. The Echo has been my primary device since January, and since March I only drip on mine. I've only had one die on me, and that one was defective from the day I got it. It's slightly longer and heavier than the eGo-T. The base of the threads on the Echo is even with the top of the 510 connection on the eGo.

It is a flat-topped connection, so no cone-threaded or eGo-threaded devices will fit on it without the proper adapter.

Vapor Girl does sell 350 mAh Echo batteries which are slightly smaller and lighter. They may do better for a hands-free approach.

Hi fellow Echo users, long time since I visited this thread. I was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy bulk Echo and Echo E single coil cartomizers? About 15 months ago I got 100 of each through Hangsen, but they don't sell them anymore.

Has anyone tried the VV echo called an Echo Revolver from NHaler?

A few of us looked at it, but the Revolver Echos at NHaler are manual batteries. The only resemblance to an Echo is the flat connection. Or at least that was true 4 months ago when I last looked at them.

I'd love to grab an auto Dial-a-Volt from V4L, but I'm not willing to spend $50.00 on one battery.

Thanks, I thought they were autos. That rules them out for me too. I recently got an auto ego from Ikenvape that they advertise as being regulated at 3.9 V and it works very good but I have no way of testing it to see if it is actually a constant 3.9v. It doesn't seem like it would hold a charge very long if the numbers are true but I'm getting about 9 or 10 hrs on a 1000mah battery.

good question! It was always rumored that hangsen never actually made the echo but just branded it and sold it as their own. Good luck finding the source.

I've ordered some Echo cartos from Top Vapors in the past. They're a Chinese vendor, so I was able to get them for about $1.00 a pop and they have free international shipping. I don't know if they have Echo-E though.

Argh. The last two batches of cartos I've bought have all had that horrible burned taste straight out of the box. I'm tamping down the fill, using my syringe correctly, waiting patiently for 10 minutes before vaping, but no go. Ten cartos each from Nhaler and NWVapors. I haven't bothered to contact them...don't see the point, as most places only replace DOA cartos and these work fine, if you have no taste buds.

I've had a lot of trouble with ECHO cartomizers and clearomizers recently, and the stuff from NWVapors has been spotty in quality control. The same goes for the limited amount of ECHO gear available from Virgin Vapors. The ECHO auto batteries themselves are still great batteries, but when using all VG juices in the ECHO cartomizers or clearomizers I have run into some issues. Primarily, the clearomizers (CE4s or CE5s I believe) tend to leak. Not always right away, but fairly quickly. More so after being flushed and cleaned, which is necessary to keep them lasting more than a few days. The cartomizers don't leak, but I don't think they generally wick as well, so I only get about 2 days of use out of them. Cleaning them doesn't help most of the time, and doesn't really help all that much with the clearomizers either. Half the time when I place an order in with NWVapors I end up with only part of my order, or they get part of the order wrong. Too bad, as their ECHO DC cartomizer prices have recently dropped. The Virgin Vapor clearomizers really tend to leak.

The limited line of available cartomizer and clearomizer types for the ECHO is definitely a limitation of these batteries, especially if you are an all VG juice user. Recently I've tried Cignot's Basic Sweet Naked, a copy of Intellicig's (now discontinued in the U.S.) ECOpure RICH. It is a pretty good copy, and performs much better than the average all VG e-liquid. I has good flavor impact (though not all that terribly tobacco-like), and is fairly clear and thin, so it seems to last much longer in my equipment. But it is just one flavor, and I don't want to be limited to just one flavor. Diluting other flavors with a bit of distilled water helps some with equipment durability, but not a lot.

There are adapters out there that allow you to screw in 510 cartomizers and clearomizers to an 808 battery connection, but I have no idea which ones work well as far as performance, fit and finish. I'd hate to buy something like that for only a few dollars, pay twice as much for shipping, and then have the adaptor fail to work out well. I'd also be interested in any good adaptors for 808 battery to EGO or VGO attachments that allows for a fairly flush fit, but I'm not even sure such adapters exist, especially with good airflow. Anyone have any suggestions? My primary interest in this would be to get adapters that allow me to use Kanger or Viva Nova type clearomizers, including the Halo Triton or Volt X2-T3 type VGO threaded clearomizers.

Recently I've tried out some short and fat Triton manual batteries. They unfortunately don't have an automatic version, though they may eventually. Volt's X2 fat batteries are available in an automatic version, but even their 650mah models are surprisingly long, about 110mm in length. This is because of a nifty, but not very useful to me, pass-through feature. Despite being manual batteries, I'm trying out the Tritons because they are available in very short fat battery lengths, 400mah (55mm) and 600mah (75mm), and these essentially VGO threaded devices allow the use of Halo Triton (Kanger) and Volt X2 - Mini T3 clearomizers. These clearomizers appear to be better quality than the usual ECHO clearomizers I get from NWVapors or Virgin Vapors, and reportedly work better with high or all VG juices. They also have easily replaceable atomizer coil/wick assemblies, which are more price competitive than those available for the re-buildable ECHO clearomizers. Cropduster 901 appears to have discontinued selling much in the way of ECHO gear.

The Tritons and their clearomizers seem to be working pretty well, so far. Adapting to using a manual button on a fat battery is not as difficult as doing the same when going from an automatic mini to a manual button mini. Despite that, I still feel I'd just prefer to continue using automatic 300mah (from Virgin Vapors) or 650mah ECHO batteries, if only I could get good adapters for using the better clearomizers available out there for other model e-cigarettes. Anyone out there have any suggestions that might help?

To my knowledge there is no adapter for vGo threading. However, the T3 by Volt and the Triton tanks are just re-branded versions of the original with different threads. The Triton tank is a re-branded T2, or so I've been told.

I've also yet to find a "stealth" adapter for eGo threading, so you can't get a nice flush look with those devices.

All of MadVapes 808 adapters are designed to work with automatic batteries. I've used their eGo, 510 and 801 adapters on my Echos with no issues. Smoktek also carries the same 510 adapter as MadVapes. The 510 adapters have a 2 piece center pin that screws apart, and the slot through the center pin needs to be on the 808 threading in order for it to work on an automatic.

The "pipe" you see in my avatar is an Echo with a Kuwako bowl and an eGo-C atomizer on a 510 adapter.

You could also look into an automatic eGo. I've heard good things about the ones at Mountain Vapor.

Hi All,
I have some Echo-E pvs here that have been collecting dust, as I got hooked on using the vivi nova tank and it doesn't seem to want to work with my Echo (have to use my old xpower).
It's a manual, and the stuff I have laying around doesn't like it. Is there anyone still using the Echo, and have recommendations for a tank that works, or some good cartomizers etc that will not give me problems?

The N400 Crystal Visions Cartomizers (that's what they call them, though they are really a clearomizer) from NHALER are supposedly pretty good. Yet, they are also one of the few I haven't tried yet, so I couldn't tell you for sure. Another poster on the forum reported that they have had no issues with these devices, though they look exactly like ones from other suppliers that have had leakage and other issues. I've thought about trying out the N400 (ECHO) Crystal Visions cartomizers (clearomizers) myself, but just haven't gotten around to it yet while I'm trying out the Halo Triton. The N400 at NHALER is an ECHO, but the regular type. I don't believe it is the ECHO-E model, so the threading (I think) would just be the standard ECHO 808 type, not whatever the ECHO-E's threading is, if it is different.
