Sat my clearomizer on a paper towel drip tip up and there was a bit of seepage. Anyone Else's does this?
Is this normal?
Just wondering
Not a lot of juice but some seepage

I have only tried one of the new ones from Smoktek and it hasn't. Is that the one you are talking about, the Smoktek 808 Vision clearo?

Heavy- I love the single coil Echomizers most. I think most of us here do now. They seem to last longer, are easier to clean, burn up less juice, and are taste wise almost the same. May ask the experts here if trying the dual coil Echomizers is worth the extra cost, even though its not a terible difference. I just don't think the duals quite measure up. :vapor:

I ordered a couple of clearos from SmokTek myself........just had to join the group. That makes about 8 I have now from a variety of vendors and not one of them leaks. I also have a plethora of echomizers that I will probably never use. Maybe I should make a wind chime out of them. I read somewhere that the "stick people" (those who still use the skinny analog look-alikes) have gone bananas over those little 1ml clearos that SmokTek has, as tanks. I use them for testing new flavors I'm trying to get right.

He may not have a choice but to carry the stealth. He doesn't want to but none of the other vendors can get them anymore. He just got in a fresh order from Hangsen, if he has the whistle tip ce4s. No new led batteries. I really hope I'm wrong but happier and happier that I snagged that 650 chrome echo when I had the chance. Sorry, Clove. I'm open to bribes though.

Heavy, if you are chain vaping, you may just be getting some condensation down the tube. Every so often, you can disconnect from the battery and blow through the tip. You'll see trapped vapor coming out the bottom. This is what causes the condensation.

I also haven't had issues with any of these yet. But that doesn't mean yours isn't. Make sure you don't fill to much. The wicks should be above the liquid level when upright store it upright as well until you know if it's leaky or if it's condensation.

Hey CigarMan, I assume you are the Smoktek guy. If you are, I purchased this from you:
808-eGo-battery, 650-900mAh - manual
It's the 900 mAh version, any cones for it?

I realize this is an Echo thread, but it's very similar.....808 threads.

If you aren't the Smoktek guy, disregard this please.
PM'd ya, enjoy the weekend :)

Heavy- you can retrive the juice by pulling out the filler with tweezers or needle nose pliers. then put the filler in a syring and use the plunger and squeez the juice out. leave the needle on so you can aim it right into your bottle. Their may be other ways, but this worked well for me.

Thanks I'm gonna try it.

Worked great Los Marauder.....thanks for the tip.

Some more demonic possession occurred of my emily rose Echo today

Took it out, fully charged (it had been sitting for a week). Screwed a carto on, had to suck HARD to get but a whisper of vapor. Ah, here we go again I thought.

I charged it for a few minutes, and voila, it was working perfectly again. LOL.

Then later on, it started acting up again. This time charging it didn't do squat. I decided to start playing with the post. I rotated it a bit to change the position of the pin hole. Got much better. Being who I am, I decided to go for broke and rotated more. Broke the connection. Removed the head, fished out the wire and resoldered it to the post.

Screwed the carto on, same issue. Had to suck like a reverse hurricane to get anything. Then I had a thought...maybe these things just have insensitive/sticky switches (the component that detects airflow)?

I've had this issue with many autos, and there is a simple little fix. I took a sliver of tissue paper and wrapped it around the battery post about 80% of the way around (between the post and the outer rim). Screwed the carto on, perfect. I just touch the thing now and it responds.

Sooooo....a mysterious, intermittent issue of switch activation that is randomly fixed by 1) rotating the post 2) a 5 minute charge 3) tightening up the air flow with a piece of tissue paper.....LOL

This is why manuals have grown on me over the past few weeks :)

Charlz if you don't mind me asking...about cleaning the echomizer........difficult?
you've probably answered this many times....so is there a link somewhere?

Thanks in advance

There are three ways. This is the easiest. Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions Scroll down the page for instructions.

Use Mowhawx method for gogo carts. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/188388-how-clean-rebuild-gogo-cartomizer.html

Or take them apart using the method I described earlier about taking the shell off the echomizer. Once the shell is off you can soak and dry burn the wick till it's good as new and re wrap the cleaned filler and pop it back in the shell. It's the best way to get your echomizer like brand new. Post #3292 on this thread. Rinse the filler till its white again and soak it in alcohol. Dry over night. It helps to drip some juice on the inner filler to keep it nice and tight to the airtube when you rewrap it.

Make sure to contact your supplier about the Doa carto.
