No reason to start. Only reason I still do is because I have them. They're powerful for such little bats, though
I'm about to Possibly order a ton of replacement tips for these babies. Does anyone else lose them like I do? I actually love these tips and don't miss the other ones... Altho I have a pretty collection.

Smoketech.com - kit was daily special yesterday for $38.95 (plus $4 for 1300), but they carry everything associated with the Echo, even ejuice.
Came back to me during the night why the KR808d-1 became a so popular so fast. It was the first to be shipped with true 3.7v bats, I assume 4.2 fully charged, and that made the entire 510, 808/901 lineup look like a bunch of sissies with their 3v +-0.2v bats.
I'm quoting voltages from memory, I know that the original eGo fat bats had a 3.2v limiter and I pretty sure my original eGo mini bats were 3v or less but I could be wrong on the less part. At any rate the difference in vaping satisfaction between a 3.2v eGo and a fully charged 4.2v KR808d would have been huge.

that's correct Errol. It's why "upgrading" to an ego became the most miserable experience of my vaping life. Then I read "well you should try the boge or try this clearomizer or try the 1.7ohm this or that and I just wanted a good vape. These were all threads I was reading as a lurker. Maybe if I had asked someone would have pointed me to a Kgo/Riva but luckily there's the echo.
Now I still do fool around buying new stuff that catches my eye but I've found my go to PV that should I want, I could probably easily go back to vaping on a 40 budget or less by buying a new 5pack of carts and some juice. (and of cource some new tips, right Arthistorygirl?)

Has anyone measured these with a micrometer? I'd be curious to see the actual diameter of these tips. The aluminum 801's I have are 9.98-10mm and just a tad too big. They need to be 9.90-9.93mm.
I've pretty much solved all my vaping desires with my VV units, 901 atties and the Echo cart. That said I've read so much about Isaac and his products at IkenVape Store, particularly the i06 at their beta testing site that I decided to try one along with a 808 and 901 carto. Just read their 901 beta test site http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ikenvape/164159-beta-901-carto-thread.html and I'm quite impressed with what I read. If mine is anything like what they are saying it may become my new go to carto at $1.75.

good because I'm using kr808s to test my juice first but I've noticed kanger horizontals can have a funny taste. Nice to have another option. I'm sure I couldn't rely on it for long ventures away from home but if you are telling me I can have a small 1ml carto that tastes/produces as well as a 901 atty at 2.0...

The 801's I got from N-haler were to big also but I got some other aluminum tips from someone else and they fit so I've been hesitant to buy any unless someone has tried them.
I don't know the diameter, but I know they'll fit. Here's a pic of a few on my Echomizers. They were a little tight the first time I put them on, but they work great now.

Dumb question I am sure, so sorry! But, ok, I am living my echo so much. But I need to be able to test juice without using 3 ml each time. What is the recommendation for what to use? I would love to get something to use with my echo battery. But if something else works better pls let me know. I am willing to purchase something more within reason, not like $100, lol.
I am NOT good at dripping, btw. I got a special dripping atom and I can't do it without burning. I use it with an 808 batt and the thingy that makes them fit together, as the atom is 510. Sorry for using such dumb language, my brain is still asleep. I add this as dripping seems to be the cool way to try out juices but I stink at it.

Sorry to disappoint you but dripping is the only way you can test juices. You just have to put enough juice in the atomizer before taking a drag(around 3-7 drops depending on the nozzle bottle you're using).
If you don't want to drip the next best thing is to use a 808d carto that holds about one ml instead of the 3.4 ml Echo.
Hi all. Ordered echo starter kit last night and some extra dual coil carts and also some smaller 808s. Want to sample my juice samples in smaller cart than the 3ml echomizers. Have I got the right gear or do I need drip tips and attys? brand new to this stuff ... Just got paroled from the new member forum
. .... I have sample kits on the way and need to know if I will be able to actually do this right. Would hate to wait another week with all the gear here except for some crucial component I didn't think to order! (Sorry if my terminology is off...still getting the lingo down!)
The drip tips work and stay on the carto better than the original whistle tips.
I only had problems with the echo.. I read all those great reviews and decided to order a starters kit 2 weeks ago.
At first waaw, amazing all that vapor production, but less than 5 days later BOTH battery's broke, it was impossible to drag on them. (I never leaked juice in them) I send them back, and yesterday I got 2 new battery's, today one of the battery's is doing crazy, the light is coming on constantly while it is sitting on the table, it doesn't drag anymore, the battery just doesn't work anymore.
I think I leaked juice in ths battery (had a bad carto that started leaking after 10 draws)
What can I do with this battery? Is there a way to clean the battery inside?
Does echo sell normal batterys (the one with the button?) Or is there a battery that fits for the carto's?
Or should I just try something else?
