Yes, yes, yes, my Taifun GS arrived here in the spring-like Middle East on Wednesday and I have been playing with it and comparing it to my beloved Kayfuns ever since. I haven't been here at ECF because of connection problems, but that seems to have been solved, too.

My impressions and experiences with it have been really good. It is a beautifully machined little guy, very well made, very clean industrial design. With a kayfun drip tip on it, it is VERY difficult to tell the difference in the quality of the draw - which is an enormous plus to my mind.

I find the taste is more pronounced and intense with the Kayfuns, but only slightly. I still prefer the Kayfuns for taste, but the GS is definitely up there at the top with them, though. No comparison with PTs, iclears or anything like that.

Building it is different from the Kayfuns, because of the way you need to thread wicks up into the liquid After studying the manual, I came up with a kind of hybrid silica build, where I did the coil and wicks, and then 2 separate pieces of silica to wick-lead the liquid down to the main wicks. Some people use mesh to do this, but since I don't like mesh, I'm not trying it. May try cotton, though. I've built it a couple of different ways, just to see if I could and what would happen. People are going to find it finicky to have to wick up through the very small holes, but I think if you use fairly thin silica or cotton, you won't have to change them when you change the coil. Put them in and leave them.

It is perfect for the VTR, in my not so humble opinion. It gives a great quality vape without adding extra weight. No gurgling, no leaking, no noise whatsoever. Very, very easy to refill. Definitely worth it.

I will admit that I've only used it with the VTR - that's what I got it for, and that is its new home. On anything else it might look a bit long and slightly top-heavy - with the drip tip, it is a bit longer than the Russian 91, and about as long as the 3.1.

So, all in all, there is a very happy little old lady over here!

Sold, Taifun GS ordered along with a black Innokin VV3 for work and the clear Kayfun parts.

Hey everyone. I havent used FT in a while. I have a cart loaded up. Whats my best shipping option ? (no batteries) E packet ? HK Post ?
Thanks in advance.

My last few orders have been getting out to the US a couple of days faster with HKP but epacket is moving fine too.

I think you'll really enjoy it. It won't disappoint you.:)

I have my clear Kayfun parts spread out over the 3.1 (the tank, just because) and the Russian (the chimney, also just because) and the $14 KFL (the top, so that the Russian's chimney would fit it - a major improvement). They are so good that I've even ordered a second set as backup $5.12 Spare Parts for Kayfun v3.1 Atomizer - PMMA at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping as well as the new little coloured tanks: $4.76 Replacement Tank Sections for Kayfun 3.1 / Kayfun Lite (7-Pack) 7-pack - ships with one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I'm seriously considering holding an e-yard sale for some of my under-used and now somewhat redundant stuff.

Has anyone ever gotten a replacement or credit/refund for a lost package? Mine is missing, USPS can't find it and FastTech hasn't responded to my ticket yet.

UNFORTUNATELY, I paid with store credit, so I can't file a Paypal dispute.

Had a package lost in the aftermath of Dreadtober last year. Filed a ticket sometime during Christmas. Got a reply stating that since no package was delivered in two months, I got the choice between store credit and money back. Latter option would have taken a few days. Opted for credit and got it very quickly. No fuzz.

2 months??? argh... I've got some waiting to do i guess

thanks for the reply

Yes, 2 months does seem long, but they really do refund you if at the end of that time the package has still not surfaced. This happened to me during the Great Big October Shipping Confusion, and FT refunded me with no hassle whatsoever. Then a month later, the missing package showed up, everything intact, and so I refunded FT for their refund.

Once the carrier gets your package, FT simply cannot guarantee that the carrier will get it to you. Customs has been known to hold things up for ages, and accidents do happen. FT does try to make it right, though, and the two-month wait is required, I think, by most postal services.

I wonder what happened if you didn't send back the refund of the refund?
In my case i would have spent these refund money on new stuff, and if the supposedly missing package showed up then i've to stand in guilt to them? (i mean as i've still gotta pay it, which is logical but still hard to do if you've spent those money on a new order)

Interesting, incase i get a refund if some package is getting lost, i will save those money just in case the package shows up...

Please let us know if they make for an easier build!

Just rebuilt the rocket, which I think has some of the worse deck screws, used the new screws from ebay and was a lot easier, for the 1st time since having the rocket, I did not have to wrap my legs around the screw to get them secure.

As I rebuild each of my KF's I switch over to these new screws, well worth the $8.35 for them, thanks to crxess for pointing me to them.

If I hadn't returned the refund, I would have felt really badly. About myself and the way I deal with this sort of situation.

Moreover, during the Great Big October Shipping Cuffuffle, which was not of FT's making and not its fault, packages were getting rejected by HKP, returned, mislabeled, mistracked and mis-everything'd by the intermediary shipping service they used, and FT was trying to make it right for everyone. FT was issuing refunds and asking us to please let them know if our packages arrived, since the tracking numbers had been confused. They refunded me without my asking them to, because my package went out during the time of chaos and they couldn't trace it at all. So when the little package got to me, I honestly didn't think twice and told them.

Loss of packages by some service along the shipping trail is another good reason to keep your orders small in value. It is better to make quite a few orders of $20-25 than risk $100 or more at a time. :)

I really don't NEED them, but I am impressed with the looks of the new drip tips that FastTech has been bringing in... Since I got my Reo mini, bottom feeding has opened up a whole new world of taste and convenience for me... all I'll probably do is find new FastTech items to glam up my Reos now LOL

Seeing as your in Texas and the flight was going from Kuala Lampur to China, probably not.

Since FT had said that shipping batteries wasn't a problem anymore I bought 2. Shipped thru Malaysia I'm almost positive they were on the flight that disappeared recently.
