You got USPS screwed. All you have to do is be sure the Ego is OFF and you CAN mail it. Just re-read the regulations last week.

Well - I heard that they caught up with the rest of the world and don't like mailing lithium batteries by air. (That's Hong Kong/Singapore - how they do it in your home country I don't know).

FT has two other shippers that they can use. The law is from 2009 and there is just a current crackdown. My guess is a few bribes will get all FT stuff through - they are Chinese, they know how to work the their own system. Anything that does get returned will probably just get reshipped with the other 2 suppliers.
Batteries and stuff ARE getting through, just all a big show and major delays as far as I can tell.

P.S. Have only had to return 1 battery - and I mailed it from an office supply type post office and they didn't ask me anything.

I've been thinking about adding one, though I may have to step down to 18500 batteries to make room for it. Does it act like a fuse as well? It doesn't look that way judging from the description. I'm already planning on adding a vapesafe fuse since I'm not using protected batteries.

Stomp aka "Kick Clone" is an adjustable wattage drop in module. You can have all the features as the expensive VW devices in your mech mod.

The stomp has many built in safety features. Low voltage cut off, reverse battery shut off, and over heat protection.

You can adjust the wattage by 5.0w to 10w.

For advance users only. We recommend high quality IMR Batteries only.

Directions
1. Turn adjustment all the way to the left it will be in the min watts setting 5W, when adjusting to the right it will be max watts settings 10W, and middle position is 7.5W.

2. When output resistance is lower than 1.0ohm, the stomp low resistance protection and output short-voltage protection will kick in.

Basic functions:

When battery volts is 3.2v, the low voltage protection disables the mod from working to protect the battery and user.
Specifications:

Stomp can be used with 1.5ohm~3.0ohm atomizers, with the 5W~10W variable watts, sequence with +/-1W.

Max current is 4A

2.5 RMS output

Just started with a mech and you can tell after a couple days. More or less where your batt is and remember it doesn't hurt to charge before you hit bottom. (I think it is actually beneficial, but I'm still new to this) also I don't believe there is any regulated cells just protected or not

As I found out with my eGo PT, it does hurt battery life to charge early. The claims of Li-Ion having no issues with topping up (which were taken from Battery University, although I think misinterpreted) were wrong.
Of course you really don't have a safe choice with a mech so live with the shortened life and vape better recharging when quality drops.

Interesting. I use NCR18650B in my Vamo. Would these be ok with mechs?

It has come to my attention that all the NCRs are NNP chemistry (Panasonic changed their charts Cylindrical Type | Lithium Ion Batteries (For Europe) | Batteries & Energy Products | Panasonic Industrial Devices Europe click on the catalog for the one listed as PSS and it takes you to NNP papers).

Assuming (and you know what that can do) this is true and this means they are all equal to the NCR-A for safety features they should be fine in a mech as far as safety goes. Watch the amp load.

I have not tried my NCR-Bs in my mech to tell you from experience though. Only that they are NNP like the NCR-A according to Panasonic. And that the NCR-A is what I use in my mech and it works safer than the CGR-CH with oxidizing a shorting coil/wick.
I would approach it with caution but I do eventually plan on trying my NCR-B and NCR-PD in my mech and for oxidizing. I will never again do that with my CGR-CH.

the NCR should be protected.l protected batteries dont work well on vamo

hmm i see lots of unprotected NCR sorry.

NCR is NNP chemistry. If you can use unprotected IMR or IMR hybrids I'm seeing no reason not to use NNP since the video showing short tests with the NCR-A vs AW IMR and CGR-CH has the NNP batteries producing a lot less heat than the IMR/hybrid.

The last time batteries came up someone was saying NCR-PD was one that was OK "because it was a hybrid", but that "NCR-B was li-ion so it wasn't". Both chemistry claims were wrong and if NCR-PD (looks to be the NCR-F by the above chart) was OK by all rights NCR-B should be too as long as the amp limit is watched like it should be with any battery.

Ordered a V3 on 09-01. Tracking showed the package at Hong Kong on the 3rd. Guess where my package is today the 10th... STILL IN HONG KONG. Fast tech processed the order fairly quickly but the postal service of Hong Kong seems to suck. ZahZoo's post explains it I suppose. Gonna think twice before ordering from China again. I'm to impatient for my orders to keep running into these "Great Walls".

Ordered an X6 battery on 8/25 and it's still in HK... Something is seriously screwy over there... I've ordered many times from FT before and it never took more than 1.5 weeks; in fact 2 of my orders got here in one week (west coast) back in July.

yea there doesn't seem to be any rhyme to it either. I ordered one on 8/28, all in stock items, a mech, a couple LED light bulbs, nothing else, no batteries or juice... nothing that should cause it to get snagged. FT didn't ship it until 9/2. It's still sitting in "acceptance" status in HK. Nothing, no movement at all.
I ordered a Nemesis on the 6th, it shipped yesterday and it's already showing "passed through" in HK. That means it's already on the airplane on the way I believe... whenever I see that, it's usually scanned in on the US west coast less than 48 hours later.
I'm not so certain it's really even accurate. You can only know for sure when it actually gets the first scan at SF. Other countries, I assume they can tell when it hits customs in their country too. Sometimes I think HK scanners miss a lot of packages or something and all the missing stuff gets filled in when it gets scanned at it's next point.
Of course, I'm completely speculating at this point.
Point being, don't fret.
99.9% of the time, the stuff always makes it in less than 4 weeks. Just about the time you are ready to go postal, it shows up in your mailbox.

I'll be sure to order on the 4th next month.

See HK post web site : Hongkong Post - Notices - Delay In Outbound Air Mail Services

Also, it is apparently a world wide protection against 9/11 terrorist threats ... everything is delayed during the inspections. Expect your package to sit in HK for 5-7 extra days.
If you ordered an electronic gadget, you may also order 1 battery and a spare in the same package and it will go through.

Separate batteries and e-liquid in any package will cause it to be returned to FT.

Items shipped after the threat period go through faster with less inspection that items shipped to be in the air around 9/11.

This will pass when the 9/11 thread period is over ... or so it is said... and what ever all that means I have only the barest glimmer.

I didn't even think about that aspect of it. I was worried about getting an order in for an APV sometime before the holidays, didn't even think of this.
