That Chi You clone is giving me bedroom eyes. This isn't really the thread for this, but just how necessary is a rebuildable atomizer for mechanical vaping? Is it pointless if I don't go the RBA/rda route?

Yep, my stuff shipped within 24 hours (i.e. packed and presumably sent to Singapore Post), but it took some time for the site to update the status. It's been 6 business days counting today, and I fully intend on updating the thread when I receive it.

You don't have to have an RBA per se, but being able to make your own coils so you can control the resistance is very helpful. With some mechs you can use a Kick, in which case the resistance doesn't matter that much since you set the Kick by watts, and the Kick does the rest.

Nope, not pointless at all. Mechanicals have been around a lot longer than RBAs. If you like to vape around 10 watts, a 1.5 ohm device will work. 1.8 ohm device for about an 8 watts experience; etc.

I use both RBA and protanks on all my mechs. I usually have a pro tank or a Davde mini hooked up to a 14500 mod when I go out and about. They work real well for me. I like to "tinker" with RBA's and mechanicals at home mostly

Oh and I like 1.8 ohms for mine. You can order the coils pre made if you need to.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm not at the point where I'm willing to build my own coils - not sure if I'll ever be, to be honest - but it's good to know I have ready-made options available. I'm just curious what difference it makes to flavor, since I've only ever vaped from a pyrex tank (Protank Mini).

Godzilla decided not to discriminate in this case

Hah, after what Japan did to China in WW2, ol' Gojira's a cakewalk. ;)

My order is "processed through sort facility" does that mean it is on its way to the states? Orrr?

I'm just concerned cause I have an aw imr batt I got last thurs and its been sitting since... my charger is with my fasttech order.
It's ready to go out, but hasn't yet left according to whatever management software they're using. It may have gone out already, but technically it's not shipped until it says so.

I have had issues with delivery systems from US vendors as well as Chinese. What I have finally decided is to buy the cheapest delivery system and then rebuild the heads. I love the X6 and X8 from fasttech. I rebuilt the heads and ordered Boges. I still have to take a hacksaw to the Boges in order to get my 25/75 ish liquid to work right.

Off topic: I must have a miraculous Boge carto for my Boba's Bounty, it's been vaping like a champ for a couple of weeks. It's laser slotted.

On topic: My Chi-You clone finally shipped from Fasttech today. :D

Hey no worries, I didn't think I would ever be either. Protank gives a great vape and so do many other tank/carto systems. There is no pressure, its just some people at some point decide that they want to explore other options or try to get more out of their vape.

In most cases, a straight atomizer( whether rebuildable or not) will give a more saturated flavor than a tank system. Not all the time depending on the tank, but in my experience, ALL the time lol. On top of that (again, depending on how you set up your coils/wicks/airholes) you will get a warmer vape (the lower the resistance) and thicker vapor. Like I mentioned though, there are many variables and RBA gives you the option to control many of them so you could customize it to your exact specifications.

Who is this fasttech anyway ?

unless you were being sarcastic haha, Fasttech is a chinese company that sells a bunch of electronics and e-cig related products for very cheap with 98% of them being copies of the real thing (sometimes its authentic, especially for other chinese products). They have great deals, their shipping usually sucks although its free, and their products are pretty good (again, sometimes they are horrible, you just gotta read the reviews)
