There are 2 different types of heads ... I have never used the ones you bought ...
I use Aro (Evod and Aro are both clones of the same atty) and Protank.
I always use ... https://www.fasttech.com/p/1442702 ... though I find it necessary to file it down as it's too tall for the way I like to vape ... filing it down also seems to stop leaking, vape lock and other issues.
So, you are now officially Goldilocks ... you have one that is too short, and one that is too tall ... and now you have to make it all just right.

My Evod coils work very well in the Evods and the KW05s. Taking out a tiny thread of wick really improves performance, while it has the opposite effect on the Protank heads. I keep a list of what works with what and how to fix little problems.
On a side note, I got some Dekang Amaretto a few weeks ago just out of curiosity. It was kind of strange at first, but now that it's steeped, the almond comes out very nicely and the cinnamon/spiciness has toned down to something interesting. While I like the fruit flavours better, this one has turned out to be a definite keeper.

Anyone else have issues with some of the threading on the batteries from FT? I have had one of the 900mAh etched batteries and now a 900 mAH ego type battery where the clearos wont even screw on. Wondering if this is an ongoing problem? (Yes I will be sending them back)
All FT batteries don't come from the same supply so "FT batteries" is sorta meaningless. Its like saying you got stale cereal from Walmart when there's an entire aisle of different cereals to choose from.
Sure its the battery and not the clearo? If its the batter you should be able to see where its buggered and maybe fix?
Which ever it is make sure you leave a review there and post an SKU here for others so folks will quit ordering that particular SKU or know they are taking a chance on getting buggered threads.
I have five or six of the etched ego batteries (love their looks) and have never had a problem with the threading.
Have you tried other types of clearos?
The reason I ask is that I have one battery where the ego threading is wonky. (It came from when my dog knocked it off the table with his tail. It went sailing across the room, hit the cast iron wood stove, then landed on the floor. Knocked the clearo crooked on the ego threading. I 'popped' it straight again and everything works fine.) Other clearos of the same type all screw on properly. But now beauty rings - which use the same ego threading - won't screw on.
Need some decorating and colour co-ordinating help here.

Ok really happy to hear this as I have bought more of these for gifts etc and was hoping it was a one off!!! I also love the etched batteries!! They look great with black Evods on them too!

As an update, I got my first order from them today. I actually placed 2 orders about 4-5 hours apart on Friday. First one was in my mailbox today so the other should be here tomorrow or Wed.
They are in Tennessee and I am in Indiana tho, 1-2 day delivery via usps.

I read somewhere that the fast tech chi you clone was made by hcigar. I ordered one of the first ss clones they posted and compared it to the two hcigar ones I got and there was definitely a difference in the quality. The hcigar ones are much better. Hopefully ft has changed it since then..

Ok your freaking me out a little bit-what IS the asterisk by my name mean???? (Hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out!!!)
You could have a battery center pin issue, which got pushed down by one of your clearos. Turn the battery off and take a needle or a paperclip and lift the contact a bit up. A tiny bit (1mm or so) from 4 sides. Next you need to get used to not to screw your clearos all the way down. Just screw in until you get contact. Done. Hopefully....
