Are you sure something wasn't binding? The switch sits near flush in the unlocked position. Yours, in pic 2 looks like it is way to far out.

Holding Pin in position and switch (bottom) up Place spring over shaft protrusion. Place switch into protrusion and thread into contact pin. Should thread fully tight and still have plenty of throw.
If this is not the case, File the Pin Cap to shorten attachment depth.

I'm definitely going to have to either file the cap or pin. This is it threaded tightly...zero throw. :\ The locking nut still binds when it's turned into locking position and over time becomes loose.

Watch out: FastTech Forums

This thread is on Fast Tech's forum about someone who ordered the MPV 2 after 8/30/13 and just received the older model. They tried to offer a 10% discount on his next order. I think he gets really upset about it.

Anyway, hope you get your correct order.

Thanks, I hope I do get the correct one - If not I may go the route of returning it. I wish I could see side by side pictures of the 1 and 2.

They are pretty much identical except for the firing button. Same dimensions, different electronics. But it's all kind of mute until you see what arrives at your door.

My SVD is finally out for delivery. My other order with batteries placed the same day, never moved. These were ordered on the 13th.

I figured I'd get mine too as they tracked identical up to leaving SF but that's the last update I got. I'll bet Billy Joe Bob at the local airport took the day off to go deer hunting and I'll get mine when he gets back.

Maybe you'll get it tomorrow. I'm on a direct route from San Fransisco to Miami to Fort Lauderdale. Just a thought.

 Forgot my thinking cap!
Drop a small(short) press pin or steel ball in the top piece to reduce thread length.
Even an Allen set screw would work. Thread it up inside until bottomed out and install the cap pin on the switch.

Just a warning not to buy the eGo CTwist from FastTech...lasted two days and then the battery wanted to stay 'On' all the time. I will not use it any longer. I put a ticket in with FT. So it's true that these eGo knockoffs just create problems, and don't save anyone any money.

I'm looking for a good 'Mechanical' Mod to use with 18350/18650 batteries. Anybody got good things to say about the Pisces, Bagua, or Chi-You? I don't want to have to 'mod' it to make it work right. So if any of these are good-to-go just as they are, I'd appreciate knowing about it.

I have this version of the Chi-You, and it's my favorite mech that I own right now:

I have 3 eGo C twists from FT which work fine. No problems. I think you got a dud - I'm sure they'll replace it or refund your purchase.

I just got a Bagua - it arrived yesterday. Wrote about it a couple of pages ago... :)

I've used/given away over 100 of these (Ego-C) so far and had zero issues outside one threading problem just the other day. You were the unlucky one. I would try again and return the lemon as this isn't typical, there are just a few random reports of bad ones. If it makes you feel any better, I just got a Genuine Smok branded 25 dollar spinner/twist battery from a US vendor and it was dead out of the box. It does happen... and more frequently than it should. The catch is that with FT, you will have to wait a long time for that replacement. You might want to consider double-ordering if you REALLY need something, and that's not just with FT either. This stuff is all Chinese, failure rates are higher than they should be.
As far as mechs go, I got a Nemesis clone (https://www.fasttech.com/p/1448300) and I love the thing. Does all battery modes AND will take a kick; same as the Chi-You clone. It's modular so you take out the tubes you don't need and that includes the kick extension ring. This leaves a LOT cleaner looking and more solid feeling device. I've decided I do NOT like telescopic tube mods at all even though they are more convenient (you don't have to store and lose tube pieces that you may need tomorrow).
Having said that, I haven't seen the Chi clone to compare, but I have one on order... I've seen others compare clones (Nemesis v/s Chi-You) and say they like one or the other about equally the best I can tell. I can say this, there is almost no way the Chi-You can be better in aesthetics or build quality than the Nemesis unless the switch is better. The Nemesis switch leaves a little to be desired but still works very well if you setup the device properly... and the same holds true for the Genuine REAL Nemesis so I've heard.
If you go for the Chi clone, make sure you get the one that is marked "Laser Etched" (https://www.fasttech.com/p/1438500). Apparently the other versions are not as good (I can't remember details, you'll need to read the comments on the FT site).

Some times good, sometimes not so much. Some times you can fix it and some times it has to go back. I have two on their way to Miami this morning, one doa, one button unfixable.

I would never order one as my main device because they can be flaky some times. As back ups and PIF's to try to get people started, they are totally acceptable.

If you open a ticket they will set you right. You will have to go through some steps but they will refund or replace. So you ARE saving money however, you may have to work for it.

No need to file anything. My V3 Sentinel clone had the same issue; screwed into the pin cap all the way there wasn't enough throw, loosened up to where there's throw it would eventually unscrew. Not just when locking either, it would slowly unscrew just by using. Just put something into the hole of the pin cap, I cut a small piece of silicone to use as a gasket. Can now screw the pin down so it's tight and won't unscrew, and has enough throw.

I ordered 7 of the FT Twists, all of them are working fine since the first day i used it. I only have 1 at the moment because i gave all the others to new vapers along with i16's :p

The thing is for 14 a pop if they last 2-3 months i'm more than happy but i know YMMV

Try to get a refund or a replacement :)

My 650mah has lasted 3 months so far and my 1300mah twist has lasted about 2 months so far with no problems. On the plus side for you you can get a replacement under warranty or maybe a credit if you prefer.
