Got my FT vape mail today. Ordered Vamo 3 kit with Nitecore I2 charger, two panosonic 18650 batteries plus an additional two trustfire 18350s. Placed the order on 9/20. Even with the restrictions on shipping batteries and delays out of china, I was able to get the package.

Hope this post helps for those wondering whether to order batteries from FT. Maybe I got lucky.

I just had to get one of these for my V3 mod.

Now all I need is a beret and I can sit in the park and look sophisticated with all the hipsters.

It's hard to "chillax" when you don't have your order or any information as to what is happening to it. All I see is "accepted" and it's been that way for weeks. Send it to me, send it back or refund my money.

Dontcha just love all the "you should have known better" and "hmph, I'm smarter than you and paid 8X the price from a US vendor" replies?
ECF just isn't what it used to be...

Hang in there, FT will take care of you, this is totally abnormal. My average delivery times (not counting this shipping snafu) is about 14 days. sometimes as little as 8 days, but US shipments almost always make it in 2 weeks or less. You can expect more delays in the coming months; lots of holidays, the busy season is firing up and things will get clogged so keep that in mind.
Order minimal essentials from US vendors and stock-up supplies from FT. Things should run pretty smooth for the next few weeks or so, but after that, expect slow-downs.

FT was working a deal with the postal service today so hopefully a lot of this stuff will break free this week.

I'm just blowing off steam. I'm down to a single 1300 mAh ego that is being held together with Super Glue, one 650 mAh batter that's fairly new, but it's only 650 mAh, one generic evod style atomizer that is on it's last leg, and two working cores that taste aweful because they've been cleaned and dry burned way too many times.
I blew several months vaping budget on:
an SVD,
an i2 charger,
two 18550 batteries (those good Panasonic ones)
a Protank,
a protank replacement glass tank part (because I know it's going to break eventually),
two 510-T atomizers to test DIY liquids,
another cheap atomizer,
and 10 replacement atomizer cores.
It took months of budget negotiations with my budget manager (wife) and even threatened a household shutdown. "Extra" money doesn't last long in our house so when I finally got the OK, I blew the wad on everything I could. I was not expecting to spend another couple of months waiting for the stuff to get here. I have nothing left to spend on vaping until November, and that's only if some rich, kind, senile, long lost uncle forgets that I'm 43 and gives me birthday money.

Archer,
All I can offer is a hug and understanding.
I am widowed. Owned by my home and the taxes on it.
I have $128. tied up in my order that is stuck since 9-6.
I can't order anything else as that is all I have for vape stuff.
I just want my stuff or my $$.
I get it.
I know it isn't FT's fault. It is no one's fault. But I can't chillax.
I will order from FT again, but will break my orders up to be under 40 bux each.
I hope yours comes soon.
Pat

Here's the response from a FT "Mod" regarding my package that was "posted"

"Unfortunately, we're not sure why the postal inspectors withheld our packages. The official reason given is they were going to inspect them later. We asked for an explanation but none was given."

I'm starting to genuinely believe that FT has ...... off HKP and they are just randomly screwing with FT's packages.

That's been by suspicion for quite some time. They seemed to be holding an entire trailer of packages hostage and I personally believe it was to "learn them a lesson"... hehe

it appears they had a little pow-wow today and FT was most likely scolded and told to clean up their act or pay the price.
So I expect that now, all Lithium batteries and devices will be 4 week delivery via cargo and everything else will remain airmail... something to keep in mind and split orders accordingly.

Anyone else find that vaping can be tremendously expensive at times and tremendously problematic (devices not working properly, shipping issues) at others?

Yep both true

That said once you figure out what works for you things get a great deal simpler (and cheaper if you let it). Regular ordering of the essentials with lots of lead time and vape on.

Backups will handle the nothing is working days.

At this point other than carto's, atty heads, and resupplying on my juice making liquids I really don't NEED anything. These sorts of basic supplies are easy to plan ahead for.

Of course there is always the I WANT monster lurking in the closet. ;)

It can be a problem, but my OCD tendencies kicked in and I'm prepared for anything short of armageddon.

I have a small supply ready for instant deployment. The spousal unit and I both vape so we should be good for a while

I-16 tanks - 10
I-16 coils - 15
T4 tanks - 10
T4 coils - 20
Ego back-up batteries - 5
V3 Mod
MVP
VV 3
silica & wire

Thanks to puresmoker for their going out of business sale.

Yeah, I guess 'lead time' is not my forte :). My last surviving twist ironically broke today when I rushed to the door to receive my juice order lol. So I just ordered a new one while I wait for my Vamo from FT as I have no clue how to solder it back together. I guess I can hold out for a couple of days with nicotine chews, damn. Thankfully I have a bit more money these days so I'll be stocking up on juice and hardware from now on. Cheers.

ok a make do if you have these in Canada (sorry I seriously can't remember what my Alberta family told me is available).

Here in the states you can pick up a Blu Starter Pack or a Fin Starter pack for about $25 US$. Both are 510 threaded. So if you have a simple clearo or carto in the 1.8-2 ohm range it will work on those batterys. Battery life is going to SUCK but it would keep you vaping.

Blu you can find pretty much anywhere in the states. Fin you can find at Wal Mart here.

Hope this helps a little.

I jumped on that sale, too. I bought two starter kits for $12.50 each. I haven't touched them, yet. I did pull the bottles of juice out of the kits and cut them with PG/VG. They sent 32mg nicotine level. I cut them to 16mg.

First time on ft, got 2 orders on there. First was returned to sender 2 weeks ago an I'm still trying to communicate with the idiot cs staff (who assured me It would turn up, please wait, and are now telling me I have to 'please wait' for them to contact sgp to find out why it was returned, tho it was returns with the rest of the 9/5 packages) so I can just get a refund and move on with my life.

Second order is showing no tracking info at all after almost 2 weeks. If I open a ticket they'll just tell me to please wait.. Awful experience..

Oddly my latest order had made it to SF, with my 2nd latest order showing processing through the HK facility and my oldest order (sept 18) still sitting in Accepted.

Then my 2nd latest order suddenly leapfrogged the latest one and was out for delivery this morning. Got my tridents and some other goodies :D

No idea what's going on with my 9/18 order.

Glad for you!!
Sad for me.
Still showing HK acceptance 9-6.
There does seem to be a glimmer of hope with some movement for others.
I am not, however, holding my breath.
LOL

yours is sitting with mine in Hong Kong hell,,,,,,,,,,,,sigh.

no movement on mine yet, but it is nice to see SOMEONE's moving,,,,,,,maybe ours will be soon!

You're awesome and thanks. If you don't mind, I'd like to go ahead and PIF it now to Patkid. She lives in Chicago. I live in Texas. She needs the break more than I do.

I'll survive. There's bound to be more change in the couch I missed the first few times that I can find for a new atomizer or core.
