Then I must be an exception since this order was a 1300mAH eGo kit and 3 juices. Came out of their hands in less than a week.

Even if it's only 1 in 5 that're getting stopped, is that worth the risk? I wouldn't recommend it, and I love me some FT. To me a recommendation has to include confidence in the supplier's ability to deliver.

I don't want to start an internet ...... contest but YOU need to read the last 100 pages. You will see that most fixed batteries are getting through. As far as I have read reported, a package containing a fixed battery has no more chance of getting kicked backed as a package without any batteries at all.

Yes to the slow boat option.

I still think shipped in a case or in a device they are legal, but it really doesn't matter what I think. Only what the HK postal inspector thinks.

I'm not just going off of ECF but the FT forums as well. Basically at this point it's a turkey shoot. Yes, some may be getting through, but like I just said above the risk isn't worth it to me. I won't recommend something unless I'm sure the person is going to get it in a relatively (this being China) reasonable amount of time and without hassles. I'm not saying it's 100% that your order won't get through, I'm saying it's foolish to make these recommendations when there's a known issue occurring right now. This isn't 2010, we've got options other than risking FDA/HKP interdiction.

Unfortunately, you are correct... it doesn't matter what anyone *thinks*. The way I understand it. the stuff HKP is rejecting doesn't even meet the qualification for being prohibited, but they are doing it anyway. I read that on one of the requirements pages (some government site, can't remember where now)... as long as the cell is like under 20wh, is packaged properly to prevent activation or shorts and below a certain weight, it CAN be shipped via air. They seem to be making up their own rules in China... unless I'm missing something. Someone please weigh in and correct me if needed.

I know this isn't USPS, but a good reference. All must follow the IATA guidelines and restrictions:

I love playing dice games. :D It is a crap shoot as the time it takes, but to me I can't loose the money, Why?

1) I feel FT is a reptuable company and would not rip off a customer, if they did everyone would hear about it and they would loose LOTS of business.

2) I pay with Paypal and have the option to dispute it if there is a problem.

3) I fund my Paypal with my American Express card, and I know for a fact if Paypal does not take care of the problem American Express will refund my money (had it happen years ago)

I have had 6 orders (3 with internal batteries) since the first of Sept (have recieved 3, one has passed SF, and one is inbound to SF, 6th is in acceptance), the only one held up was the one before 9/11 which is inbound to SF now (anyone in the US knows what happened that day in 2001), which finally left HK Post after 43 days. All the others I am getting in 11 to 14 days from ordering.

So Yes I will keep ordering and keep telling other people. But ALWAYS expect 2 to 4 weeks for delivery, order and don't watch it every day like a local order, it will get here, it will just take a while.

All of my orders have been great up to 13 now. Most all included some juice and batteries. Some have taken a little longer but at my age I'm not in a rush. I have so much now I'm looking at tablets/keyboards and mice. That dvr looks pretty good too. Sadly I read the forum on ft and am really kind of horrified the way people talk to cs reps. 7 days and they act like their order is the only one ft has. People have to wake up and realize they are dealing with a foreign country/language that is halfway around the world. Sure there will be some problems take your chances and deal with it.

Somewhere out there
It's amazing to me that people are still recommending eGos and other PVs with internal batteries from FastTech. The past, what? 100 pages of this thread have been staggered recommendations and complaints about orders being bounced back.

Heads up, everyone. An eGo/iTaste/Spinner/etc IS a Lithium Ion battery. It stands a very good chance of being caught in customs and never making it to you. For the moment anything with an internal battery, or any kit that contains batteries, should be avoided at all costs. It's likely that you'll never get it.

My understanding is that fixed batteries, installed in a device are OK. I have received one ego-style battery from them in the past month, no problem. I also recently put in an order for a few more. I did hesitate a bit before placing the order, but considering all the user experiences post here, decided to go ahead with reasonable confidence my order will be delivered, eventually. ( The order hasn't shipped, it is in "restocking" status now. )

Loose batteries are a different issue, I wouldn't order any from overseas at this time.

After some "budget maneuvers" i'll probably order the Kayfun clone when they get Singpost available again. I'll probably also order another mech to go with it. I already have a pisces clone and a nemesis clone, i'd love to get a hammer clone but it seems it will take a few days to get to retailers.

Can anyone recommend a particular mech from FT? i'm leaning towards the astro and the copper/SS private
