Well, with mediocre coiling, which is what I must have been doing LOL, it's got an airy vape - which I don't much like. You can twist the top to get better air control, but it's never been a quick and easy vape like most other toppers. Now that I have this higher oHm coil on it with some thicker silica it's quite a good vape. I like it because it looks great, it's glass, and I can crank up the watts for a warmer vape, which I like. I've got another on order because I intend to work on it until I get it right... There are too many good things about it, glass, juice capacity, and looks, to let it sit.

I do have ekowool coming in, so I'm hoping that will improve things =] I also intend to torch some tighter coils to keep the shape with 32 gauge wire and have them set aside specifically for the AGA T2.

It's not been an easy rba to vape with, but it's a good learning tool for me =]

That one has had my curiosity for quite some time but I've never managed to pull the trigger on it. I have an RSST coming from another source and I also ordered the AIOS from Fasttech (don't have it yet though).
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1494000

Can't wait to try out the AIOS clone. It looks really good. I've been watching the Mojo video (AIOS-T/D - YouTube) on repeat watching him do the coil builds... This will be one of my most anticipated vapemail boxes from FastTech.
Meh, who am I kidding... I sit around waiting for the mailman for every package.

Yep. That's my conclusion too.

Don't discount the possibility that the greasing went the other way.

USPS with international pressure at the behest of US "interests" (i.e. big tobacco, they have bought into the market bigtime)

This zealous enforcement of shipping rules seems very unusual and suspect by China. Their commerce would usually trump/overlook the small stuff

You seem to have left out one HKP STEP - Acceptance. I have had several packages sit at Acceptance for 1-2 weeks before any recorded movement.

I didn't leave any steps out. RC114080134HK - marked as Fully Shipped on 10/12. Didn't land on Hong Kong Post's RADAR until 10/29. Hong Kong Post has no motivation to conceal my package for 2.5 weeks. Jasmine's future husband runs the shipping company that delivers FastTech's shipments to Hong Kong Post. There is a conflict of interests. FULLY SHIPPED to me means is has actually shipped. Not that it is fully packaged with a label and tracking number.

That time frame is when China Customs has it. They x-ray packages and put a hold on parcels that look to have batteries in them. According to some people who post here, it's also being held until FasTech pays the Customs Manager his monthly "stipend" no allowance = no ship. Not sure of that, but out of 14 shipments over the past year, 22 days was the longest wait and 8 days the shortest shipping time. Out of those orders, some were held up because of a wait for one or two items that FasTech doesn't keep at their warehouse. When you order an item look to see how long it takes for a manufacturer to send the item to FasTech ( FasTech being mostly a broker for a lot of vendors.) Sometimes the wait can be 2-3 wks and if you checked that you want everything in one shipment, that's the time you'll wait, for that particular item holds up the whole shipment.

Not sure what you are attempting to say. Are you assuming Acceptance is NOT a part of the HKP Chain of handling?
I am well aware of additional time for not stocked items as well as delays from delayed restock of items. I also have no been ordering Batteries or e-liquids. Playing that card , I would have said I had order sit for 40+ days.
Total time and time in customs is obviously different, as I am well aware.

I have one last item, marked in Acceptance today after showing shipped on 10/24. It is clear HKP just received it. Now it may pass through in a day or two, or it may sit for several weeks.

I really only concern myself with 2 dates.
Acceptance
Delivery
Everything else is a crap shoot.

This could go a million directions, you are right on all accounts too. It could be any one of a thousand conspiracies or it could just be the Chinese were under IATA pressures for being lax and they are trying to put on a show... until observers are satisfied and go away... the latter being one of the more probable. I mean, think about it... since when have the Chinese cared about safety when it comes to industry and growth? They have strict environmental laws too... but they don't adhere to or enforce them for the most part, it's far too costly to growth. They can't afford to follow the rules if they want to remain on top of the manufacturing industry. We follow the rules in the US (well, they are strictly enforced at least) and that's why you can't afford to buy anything US made.
I'm not trying to make this anti-anything, just pointing out the costs associated and the real effects of them.
I considered the possibility that larger manufacturers like Apple, Lenovo, etc might be trying to put the brakes on discount companies such as FastTech and they might just be using the IATA or the Chinese authority as a tool to fight them. FT is FAR from being the only discount consumer company in China suffering the consequences of this mess. HobbyKing ( I think that's the name, can't remember) is feeling serious pressures along with all Fastech-alikes.
Could it be an attempt to shut down consumer access to direct "wholesaling" in China?
Anything is possible in there, and you do what they say when you are playing their game, there is no valid or formal method to argue with government there (well, not in the manner that we think).
I personally think that FastTech needs to tow the line and start walking in step along with the rest of them for at least the short term. That's the only thing that will make this go away.

I'll try and make this clearer. Once your order is complete and packaged up, the package is brought to HK Customs. Once it is "Accepted" the order may sit anywhere from a couple of days to two months. ( Chinese New Year When the order clears China Customs it is sent to HKPS which is the actual shipping arm. Now, this is where things get tricky. Nicotine leaks especially in high concentrations, may leak. Batteries can overheat and cause a fire. The USPS rely on China Customs to sort out dangerous packages. Mostly they don't, doing cursory examinations. If a complaint is made they go through the motions ( wink-wink ) sending packages back to FasTech. If your package makes it through all this, it's next stop is San Francisco USPS and then on to you from there.

If you ever order batteries from FasTech you'll notice they arrive charged. This is a big no-no and a truly dangerous situation. If you ask that your batteries ship uncharged you'll be paid lip service and get charged batteries anyway. According to Chinese postal regulations a shipper can get hit with huge fines if caught doing this. They get away with it by paying a much lower amount in baksheesh.

This practice really endangers the lives of pilots and crews. After thinking it through, I no longer but batteries from China.

Just curious but has anyone who ordered a Kayfun from FT on their original release date which by now has been 12 days seen the status charge to "ready to ship" yet? I placed my order on 10/21 after a 10/18 release date of the item with the listed 12 days to ship. I also ordered a Nemesis on the same date which listed a 10 day expected ship date. The Nemesis has been cleared and ready to ship well before their 10 projection. It's been ready to go since last Friday. As of now I'm just waiting on the Kayfun for my order to be prepared to ship. I knew it was going to be a long wait regardless with all the long horror stories I've read in this thread. I was thinking or hoping to receive this order before Thanksgiving.

Are you talking about this one: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1481600 ?
I ordered one on the 14th Oct and it shipped on the 19th, unfortunately it's been stuck in status "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment " at HKP ever since.

If we are talking about the same item, it should be in stock. Opening a ticket and inquiring about status usually lights a fire and they will go find it and ship it just to make you go away. Worth a try.

This practice really endangers the lives of pilots and crews. After thinking it through, I no longer but batteries from China.

When I have ordered batteries domestically, they were flown to me and were are always charged. They have never been in a protective box then foil packed and bubble wrapped like FT does. If I received a lithium battery with 0 charge on it I would send it back as it would then be in danger of being unstable while charging or once charged.

Batteries fly every where all the time. I think what FT does is probably the safest way to ship loose cells. I really don't know how else you could do it. There are very few options for a ground only shipping method from a manufacturer to your door.

My ego twists have been sitting in HK acceptance for 2 weeks now, but when I dug further into the details it says it was returned back to sender on the 24th. Here is FT's reply:

Sorry about the delay.

Your parcel is in Hong Kong. Since Hong Kong Post has adopted a new x-ray screening, it will cause 5 to 7 business days delay as informed by them. We believe your parcel was affected and is waiting for inspection. Hence, you will see the tracking status remains unchanged.

As your package contains batteries which may be rejected by Hong Kong Post due to the updated aviation policy, it will be returned to us when caught and refund will be made once we receive the parcel.

We will contact HK post to confirm if it has been returned to us,if you like to resend, can we take out and refund the batteries and then resend you the other items?

So it looks like they are finally going to stop pushing batteries through.

Geez People, stop with the conspiracy Theories, FastTech sells a few million at most to the US out of China's annual export to the US of Four Hundred BILLION dollars. That is like a single drop of water in an Olympic swimming pool. Are people really saying the US government is trying to reverse the 300 Billion trade deficit they have by pissing about with a small retailers battery shipment.

Take off the tinfoil hat and go out and smell the roses.

Glad to see this... I've got a MVP2 and eGos rejected by Hong Kong as well. I sent them a ticket, but have gotten no response. I'm going to go ahead and buy the MVP2 elsewhere and just wait for a refund.

I ordered both a Nemesis and the Kayfun clone last week. The Nemesis shows as being ready to ship but the Kayfun's holding up the order. Since each item individually meets their minimum shipping price I submitted a ticket asking FT to ship them separately. Only been a day so no response yet, but I'll let you know if they do it if you want.

Have you never used laughter to console frustration? One must always read the context of the post and the one that was responded too. Looking at that dude and Chumly always crack me up. YMMV.
