:) Major vapemail!:)

My VTR arrived this morning, all beautiful, shiny, authentic and happy, along with 2 other packages, orders from just before it...17 days, in case anyone is obsessing, via SGP, like all my stuff...held captive in Customs here for a while, just to get acclimatized...

Happy little old lady. :vapor:

The VTR is my present to myself for Hannukka and 6 months of quitting smoking. Also arrived, a bit overshadowed by the VTR: an innokin UCan (for 5 months off cigarettes), a generic mini-PT (which is very nice looking), an Ohms meter, about 60 pre-made wicks (I'm lazy and they work well), a multi-coloured drip tip just for fun, and lots of Hangsen Juicy Peach, Liqua Apple and Dekang Raspberry. Plus supplies for 4 colleagues.

The mirror-grey VTR is gorgeous. A really impressive piece of Secessionist industrial design. The styling reminds me of the 1920s silent film, Metropolis.

It is heavy - about the weight of my 2 MVPs together, and in comparison the SVD is a featherweight - but it fits my hand comfortably and is incredibly easy to set up and get working. Easier, I think, than the SVD, but that's just me. Am using the GS-H5 with it and the special tube - yesssssss. The screen is relatively large and very easy to read. The power button is nicely responsive - somewhere between the MVP1 and MVP 2. Haven't tried the iClear 30s yet.

Uh, did I say I was happy?

I know waiting is an exercise in patience, but for me, it definitely pays off. I'm always slightly apprehensive about our Customs, but so far they haven't seized any of my purchases. I hope this coming week brings everyone lots of good things!:)

Gratz Maggie, it is a very Art Deco design. I am still loving mine after a week of use.

Changing the subject away from shipping for a moment.

Anyone know which, if any, mechanical mods fastech sells that will accept a kick AND an 18650 battery?

Back to shipping.

I ordered a bunch of stuff on October 15th, part of it shipped and was received November 5th, the rest has been in Hong Kong since November 2nd. No batteries, just some Mini Novas (got some in the first shipment, they suck.).

I wanted the same thing (a mod that would fit an 18650 and a kick) but I want a side-button. So I bought some bolts from fasttech - they come with one extension tube so it will fit either an 18650 or an 18450 + kick. Then I just bought separate extension tubes here in the US from madvapes (yes, they fit). With *two* extension tubes, they fit the 18650 + kick.

Neme clone. Use all the tubes and the beauty ring and it works even with a button top 18650 IMR battery(tested with both AW and Efest 2000mah batteries)

Afaik the Nemesis will take a 18650 with a kick, i love the lean look of the nemmy compared to other mods.

Congrats on the VTR, i would buy one in a heart beat if it accepted a Kayfun without having to mod it :p

Any special shipping options I need to pick for orders to USA? Is USPS first class free OK? Placing multiple orders but one will be Ego 900Mah and evod twist. Placing orders now. Thanks

I'm not in the US and i can't confirm 100% but yes, you should use USPS if you live in the US.

What a lovely post! It was a joy to read.

I hope you continue to have fun with your VTR - and I do love the look of them. Solid!

And of course Happy Hannukka !

P.S. I know what you mean about the ready-made wick/coil do-dahs. Saves a bit of fiddling about and imho are great.

I'm not in the US and i can't confirm 100% but yes, you should use USPS if you live in the US.

I did some reading on the FastTech forums and notice people saying for batteries including built in batteries like the Ego to choose Singapore Post. For just the order with the Egos & Evod twist I chose 4. Registered Airmail via Singapore Post FREE.

Here is the forum sticky that gets updated as restrictions change. Notice Singapore has confirmed that it is OK to ship built in batteries & Eliquid. I did read in another sticky that FastTech has confirmed this with Singapore to be true. IMPORTANT - Shipping Info - Updated 11/22: FastTech Forums

Edit: I originally posted the info said regular batteries were OK, but I misread. As you can see in the link is says "Normal" cylindrical batteries - officially banned.

Tracking Delay - about 3 days
"Normal" cylindrical batteries - officially banned
Built in batteries - Officially OK
e-liquids - Officially OK

So based on this info, Do you guys think I picked the correct shipping method for the 8pk Ego 900Mah and 4 Evod twist? I know nothing about ordering from China. I have made a couple non vape orders on Ebay but the seller handled the shipping choices. For the non battery stuff I chose the USPS option.

Edit: the only Singapore option I had at checkout was option 4. Registered Airmail via Singapore Post FREE.

You should be good to go.

But be patient. :)

I sure hope so! Hope it gets here by xmas. I would be a happy camper if it arrives by midnight 12/24 (30 days from today). After looking at that sticky again it looks like DHL is another option for built in batteries. Might have been a bit faster but I don't know what the extra fee would have been. I'm guessing not much. Wonder if I should contact FastTech and inquir about cost of DHL and get their recommendation if it might be a better option. I'm probably over thinking it, If singapore has fixed their issues and has no problems shipping built in batteries then 30 days should be enough time (I hope). Guess I can wrap a IOU :)

Even though they are out of stock, I'll share my thoughts on the Kayfun 3.1 clone from Ft. It is MUCH nicer, and more enjoyable to use, than the Rocket IMO. On mine, the threading is nice and the finish is good. It's kind of crazy that I got this piece for 20 bucks! I probably should have gotten 2 of them.

The wicking is far better than that of the Rocket. Even though I have been filling from the top, I've had no gurgling or leaking. I would have to "prime" the Rocket at times to prevent dry hits, but haven't had a hint of a dry hit with this one.

Totally agree on all points (I own both also)

Biggest gripe with the rocket is that damn o-ring for the top of the chimney, it's the wrong size so it never stays put!

It's also ugly as sin, but it's still a good vape despite the quirks.
