Which kayfun should I order?

I've got the 3.1 and really like it, with the KFL on the way. From what I've read they both work very well, but the 3.1 has some small chromed brass parts (they're replacing them with SS, though, so not a big deal.) and the KFL is a bit shorter. I believe the 3.1 has better air control, but am not 100% on that. Also, the 3.1 has a proprietary threaded drip tip, so you have to buy the extra parts kit ($2.59 Rebuildable Part Kit for Kayfun v3.1 Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping) if you want a 510 drip tip adapter and stainless center tank section.

Well, I put in an order with Slugtech on 12/19. I ordered the VTR for $65, no waiting, but I had to wait until the 25th for the IClear 30s heads to come into stock. Now I wonder if Customs is still up in arms over that LAX shooting, and that is why there is no tracking, and everything takes so long, plus no batteries or juice gets through?

I placed my first FT order on 12/23. All items appeared to be in stock including Taifun GT clone, kayfun lite clone, nemmy mixed clone and magnets…NO BATTERIES.

I checked last night 12/27 and all items were ready to ship EXCEPT nemmy clone showed "restocking"…..., they put it on the boxing day sale on 12/25, two days after I placed the order.

I checked again this morning and all items including the nemmy clone were in stock EXCEPT the Taifun GT clone now reads "scheduled to ship 1/7. Again......

Is this normal for FT?? I am aware of the shipping issues but now Im thinking IF the Taifun comes in for 1/7 and the nemmy is again out of stock then the wait will even be loooonger.

I could just cancel the Taifun and reorder…damn, i hate this already.

Leave it alone..they will ship, don't get impatient...when you start futzing around with the orders because you get impatient is when stuff starts going REALLY squiffy...once it's shipped it's out of FT hands and it enters the black hole of international shipping anyway...

Next months order is in quicker than expected. 12 days from order date to delivery which is great considering the time of year. Was accepted the next day after order was placed.

Right on par with an Orange but it's joining the others in the closet. I've found everything tastes better with a couple days to air out. Nic level is where it should be.

This was my first bigish order of dekang. I've only ordered it twice before, once in my very first order 7 months ago and one in last months order.
I ordered the Mint and spearmint in 30ml and i'm glad I did, they're fantastic. The 10ml's were the fruit flavors and are all questionable at this time.. All the 10ml nipples were split all the way down causing them to leak. I replaced them with some old liqua nipples and they are now leak free.

Great so far for a cheap questionable looking 4ml bcc. Uses evod heads. For $2 it's a great deal.

I think I will get the 3.1 and order the spare parts. Since it is out of stock what about the Triten for now? Is it any good? Thinking about ordering the 3.1 in a separate order and something else to ship with the Nemesis.

How slow has customs been?
I had a package mid dec hit the us and clear customs the fallowing day and i got it 3 days later. I've also ordered from us venders from One coast to another to me in ok and got them all in 3-4 days.

I have 2 packages that only show they have made it to the us. No customs cleared or anything else. One since dec 21 and the other since dec 24.

Just curious if they are back logged and or not even scanning packages right now. I have 4 more packages from ft on their way still out of country. Lol starting to wonder if they will all be sitting in customs together before long.

I would not expect the one shipped on 12/17 to be in the us yet and they may have actually been shipped or picked up a few days after ft marked them as shipped.

Generally speaking, if you allow 30 days (+/-) your order will arrive. I have placed 3 orders since October and all came within that amount of time. When I used to buy a lot on Ebay, many of their sellers ship from China and I applied this same rule of thumb. I'm not saying this company never has any problems ... I have seen a lot of write ups from unsatisfied customers. But in the volume of business that they do, these are still a rare occurrence, imho.

"FUlly SHipped" just means they did not split your order.

You will need to put your tracking number into quantium and once that says lodged then you can start USPS tracking it.

You're kidding, right? I'm going to interpret your post that way, anyway. The only thing I want to lament about are the number of posters that order away and then spend 5 pages complaining about the shipping methods...

Omieyes, you're ordering from China. At the height of the Christmas/New Year season. This in itself is enough to create an immense traffic jam in all shipping circuits. "Fully shipped" means every item in your order is in the package, and the package has been sent. If your order is over $20, you should have a tracking number on your order now. Go to http://www.17track.net and put your tracking number in. Or quantum. The package is now out of FT's hands and into the hands of the shipping services.

Also good to know: your packages are shipped as bulk airmail, unless you paid for an upgrade to e-packet or DHL or whatever. This means they are not priority packages for the shipping companies. They go on planes when and if there is space. And they get to you when they get to you.

As a lot of us here have been trying to say, do your market research and your 'needs profile'. Knowing that it could take as long as a month to get to you, place your order with realistic expectations and then just forget about it. Enjoy something else. If there really is a problem somewhere down the road, FT will make it right - they always do.

And when you get your stuff, come back and tell us about it. We try to help each other by our recommendations for good buys, our experiences and our reviews.

ofc i was kidding. i have done my peace with FT. in 20+ days i always get my package and i usually don't make very small orders. around 100$ per order so i'm very happy with them. i would like to see more reviews in this thread, with pictures and all.

I'm in the Middle East, which is not so far from Albania, as the crow flies...it takes about 3 weeks to get to me, sometimes a lot less, depending on Customs.

But Omyeyes is surprised that a package shipped on December 17th hasn't got to him yet in the US...

I'm used to slow shipping, and for me, it's a good thing. I'm not putting my next order in until my last one arrived, which gives me plenty of time to research the heck out of things and change my mind ten times.

Right now, I'm pretty much in love with my super shorty carto. Three weeks of using it exclusively, and it shows no sign of slowing down. Actually, there's a bunch of stuff I need to get elsewhere for higher than FT prices... unfortunately.

want to get 3.1 with metal tank is the metal tank same finish as the 3.1 stainless?

I have 2 orders on the way from FT.

The first one (ordered Dec. 5) has assorted adapters, beauty rings, drip-tips, and a few things I want to sample before I decide to order more. It's already 'Processed through Sort Facility' in Los Angeles!

The second one (ordered Dec. 17) is still at 'Origin Post is Preparing Shipment' in SG. But, it was actually picked up from FT just a day or two after the first one. So, who knows? It contains only one thing, a pretty blue Pipe Mech Mod.

I can hardly wait! All is right with the world!
