I've just managed to get my Caravela clone genny to work! I finally managed to get the wicking and wires placed so it no longer burns and tastes ghastly! It's a pleasant, warm vape, quite different from the Kayfuns, although I can't quite say how.
Anyway, it also looks really good on the Caravela clone body. A very cool little set. Both the atty and the body have been waiting for me to get my mind around them, and my fingers working, for a couple of weeks, but I was sulking and gnashing my teeth.

I'm a little nervous about getting a hybrid. It's kind of like the old tv/vcr combos. If either part of the combo doesn't work right, the whole thing is trash.

To hell with them. Filed a PP claim to get my money back and I'm done. Not being able to get it out before the holiday I understand, but I will not accept another lie from FastTech.

I don't consider it a hybrid because the RDA unscrews completely. You are getting a smaller tube mod with a drip tip and a RDA. It seems to be a good vape with the flattop 14500s, so I'm glad to have it and won't be replacing the eGos or Evods... I may keep a few silver eGos, though... I do love them best =]

Um, no offence, but I thought the stuff about Chinese New Year celebrations had been flagged up here and elsewhere weeks, if not months, in advance?
FT is always a tradeoff of price against patience. If you don't have the latter, then don't order.

I didn't say that I wasn't aware of the Chinese New Year shutdown. I said they lied to me about their ability to ship it out before they shut down. They had moved a bunch of stuff from other orders around, including replacement parts for defectives, and then told me not to worry, that it would get out before they closed. A couple of days from the shutdown with no movement I got worried and opened a ticket. Was told, "It will ship within 36 hours."
I can deal with the waiting, I can deal with the hit-or-miss customer service, but I'm doing going to deal with the lying.
