Man, am I glad I finally found this thread. So I put together a Twist/Evod order on a few websites, and (as we all know) fasttech came out as the cheapest. By a LOT. And I do trust them, because like most of us, I got my Vamo there and shipping went fine. But... I don't have the experience personally to know if Joyetech/Kanger is ACTUALLY superior or not, so I've been attempting to do research. It's tricky though.

So from reading reviews and threads here and there, it sounds like the Twist batteries work fine from fasttech, with the ONLY possible downside being threads that aren't as smooth. I can live with that. I'm talking about these: Fasttech.com - EGO-C Twist 650mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette

However, the reviews of the Evod products are a little harder to decipher. Some people say they're fine, some people say to buy the Kanger clearos instead, and some people say the FT clearos are fine but to ONLY use Kanger heads. Fasttech.com - EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer (1.5mL)
and...
Fasttech.com - EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Atomizer Heating Core

Can someone who specifically owns Twists and Evods from FT chime in? Would I want to get the Twists and Evod clearos from FT, but get Kanger heads from the US... or is ALL of the genuine stuff better? Thanks a ton.

I contacted FastTech to see if they carried the iClear replacement coils since they sell the clearomizer. They contacted me and said if I gave them the SKU# they would look it up. Huh? Does anyone know if they sell these?

The FT SKU for the iClear 16 is 1384000 and I think I might have seen the replacement heads there, but I could be wrong. The search doesn't find them, but their search is notoriously bad. If FastTech does find them for you, please let the rest of us here know.

EDIT: unless you are asking about the iClear 30, in which case the SKU is 1383901.
P.S. SKU stands for Shop Keeping Unit - a common term in the retail world.

I got a couple of 1100mah twists from FT and the 5 pack Evods last week. The twist seems pretty good for the money. They both work well although I can't comment on longevity because I haven't had them long enough to see how well they hold up long term.

The Evods are O.K as well. One of them (the stainless steel) has some sharp edges where the windows are but the others are fine. I would suggest that if you do not rebuild your heads to go with the kanger heads. I plan to rebuild the ones I got from fasttech. They are all over the place resistance wise and pretty cheaply made (sloppy coils). Once I rebuild them I think they will be good but if you don't want to fiddle with them then the kanger replacement coils are probably a better choice.

I've been reading on a lot of the discussions on FT's site and it seems like they don't carry them yet, although I believe they're aware that a lot of us want them to carry them.

$3.00 Innokin iClear 16 Dual Coil Electronic Cigarette Round Mouth Atomizer (1.6ml) - translucent / 2.4

(usually would have the replacement head SKU listed under details)

Usually, but not always. Example:
$6.23 Authentic X8 2.5ml Electronic Cigarette Atomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$1.95 Authentic X8 Electronic Cigarette Atomizer Heating Core - aka cartomizer at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The listing for the X8 does not list the replacement carto under details, and yet they have a specific replacement...

Not to be pedantic - well being extremely pedantic - it's actually stock keeping unit.

I'm really bummed about my second round of evods. I bought a five pack and three out of the five have problems. First one had threading issues, the base won't screw in properly. Another one didn't even have airholes bored out and the center post was taller and thinner than the rest. The third one had the ends of the coil wire sticking out from that rubber o ring and it wouldn't even fire. Even the two that do work seem shoddy. The silica on all of them looked like it was sawed off with a dull razor. Not sure what type of metal they're using either but its notably lighter weight than genuine Kanger evods.

Also, there are only two airholes on these as opposes to three on kangers. Worst thing about it is they whistle when I take a draw.

Aside from that, they seem to be working ok. I'm referring to my first round of evods which are about two weeks old.

I opened ticket about my doa's. Hoping to get replacements sent out asap. We shall see how it goes. If they insist on doing things the hard way I will have PayPal mediate.

FT doesn't do things "the hard way" in my experience. They have a pretty friendly, standard complaint procedure in place and all you need to do is follow through with it.

Paypal 'mediating'? Given Paypal's aversion to all things e-cig:facepalm:...

Have you guys noticed this on the stickies at FT?

Points aren't going to expire this year (2013)
Hi everyone,
Some customers have asked about what's going to happen to their rebate points on October 1st, 2013, because the points page says points expire annually, on October 1.
The official word is: points will not expire this year.
All your points, pending or not, will remain valid in your account until October 1, 2014.
Happy shopping everyone, and please let us know if you have questions.

geek, on behalf of Team FastTech

I have ordered from them several times without incident. I'm a good customer and have left good feedback for them several times. I feel that its only fair for them to replace the faulty items. I am in need of functional evods now, which is what I paid for two weeks ago. I'm not asking for refund, just deliver the items I paid for in good working order.

They want to give me an RMA and wait until the package is received on their end before mailing my replacement. Sorry buy I think a tracking number should suffice to get the process underway.

Fasttech obviously has a agreement with PayPal so I seriously doubt that me and my bustedass evods debacle are about to blow the lid off an international ecig smuggling conspiracy.

What's the safest 18650 battery for mods on fast tech?

panny NCRPD is the best battery for vv/vw devices it has 10A discharge rate but its NCR chemistry similar to ICR chemistry.

CGRCH has the same discharge rate but is made with hybrid chemistry similar to IMR chemistry.
this is hands down best battery for ecig mods @ FT

Well it wasn't lost, it was USPS being incapable as always, not tracking deliveries through their journey. Got my Vamo and Fasttech will be getting more of my cash :D

I am just hoping this is the same in my case. According to tracking mine is still sitting around in Hong Kong :(

NCR18650PD is not the best from my testing. No VV/VW allows 10a. I think someone has mixed up VV/VW and mech and is assuming what is best for one is best for the other.
I'm curious, since I think you're one who's been saying PD is the best for a long time in these FT threads, have you ever tested them in real use?
And I'm not saying just a little better, the Bs are producing well over 100 more puffs, which is pretty amazing since the claim was the B's were actually lower in useable mah than PDs.

Again, the question can't be accurately answered without knowing what kind of mod and the intended purpose.

Arguing about ship times from across the globe... really. I'm sorry but we have it good in this day in age. Its already good enough for me that domestic shipping is less than 8 days.

I feel the same way and I dont expect it to be here in a week, I just get a bit worried when the tracking never updates. But I know this happens alot with usps tracking.
