NCR18650PD is not the best from my testing. No VV/VW allows 10a. I think someone has mixed up VV/VW and mech and is assuming what is best for one is best for the other.
I'm curious, since I think you're one who's been saying PD is the best for a long time in these FT threads, have you ever tested them in real use?
And I'm not saying just a little better, the Bs are producing well over 100 more puffs, which is pretty amazing since the claim was the B's were actually lower in useable mah than PDs.

Again, the question can't be accurately answered without knowing what kind of mod and the intended purpose.

i am using PD's and i am quite satisfied with it
all i know is NCRPD is the latest battery from Panasonic which is specifically designed for high drain usage with 10A discharge rate

panny NCRPD is the best battery for vv/vw devices it has 10A discharge rate but its NCR chemistry similar to ICR chemistry.

CGRCH has the same discharge rate but is made with hybrid chemistry similar to IMR chemistry.
this is hands down best battery for ecig mods @ FT

I have ordered from them several times without incident. I'm a good customer and have left good feedback for them several times. I feel that its only fair for them to replace the faulty items. I am in need of functional evods now, which is what I paid for two weeks ago. I'm not asking for refund, just deliver the items I paid for in good working order.

They want to give me an RMA and wait until the package is received on their end before mailing my replacement. Sorry buy I think a tracking number should suffice to get the process underway.

Fasttech obviously has a agreement with PayPal so I seriously doubt that me and my bustedass evods debacle are about to blow the lid off an international ecig smuggling conspiracy.

Is it really difficult to send a non-functioning item to Miami, for US customers? Just about everything we've read here about their returns procedure has been positive and standard. AFAIK, they've always made good on their warranty policies.

There's so many people out there that would have no issue doing something like ordering a gross of something, getting an RMA then sending an empty envelope to Miami IF FastTech relied on tracking only. From there what recourse would they have? None unfortunately.

What's the resistance of the coils you plan to run on those? The Panasonic CGR18650CH and NCR18650PD are good high capacity and high drain batts with a 10 amp limit. FT has some Sony and Samsung high drain batts that may work better in mech mods that I'm still learning about, but not sure on yet.

Finally got around to using my oddy clone. I replaced the silicone ring under the to cap with one of the orings on the mouth piece as recommended on the reviews and it is vaping Ike a champ...no leaks at all, standing up right or laying down. For $16 I might get a couple more.

I will say though that the taste is great minus some of the grime I must of missed when I cleaned it. A can tell I did not get all the machine oil off, i must not have boiled it ling enough, But nothing that vaping through it or another cleaning won't fix.

Very happy with it.

Yep, here ya go. I wish there was a glass tank or poly pro tank for it but for $16 you can't beat it. There have been several folks that have said it leaks like crazy but I have not had a single drop leak, then again I did move one of the orings from the mouthpiece to under the cap as recommended by some reviewers which may take care of the issue. I did not even try it the other way so I would not know if that made a difference.
You get an extra ceramic cup, silica, oring replacements and wire as well

New all brass mech available, the Sentinel M16 clone http://www.fasttech.com/products/1/10005307/1425200-sentinel-m16-mod-telescoping-e-cigarette-battery

Looks about the same as the V3 Sentinel clone, but a smooth body instead of the V3's ribbed look. As long as the switch, lock, and pins are up snuff, I'll be getting this one. I love the V3, my favorite mech clone yet, and may even prefer the looks of the M16 clone.

I was considering the Private V2 clone also, but have heard a lot of issues with aluminum threading on the brass/aluminum mechs, all brass seems a lot more durable.

Ordered one as soon as they listed it can't wait as I also think for price and performance the v3 clone is the best mod but I don't like the ribbed inner tube so this m16 look perfect I can't believe you can get a mod for such a cheap price that has a spring loaded and removable 510 pin a telescoping body really soft press button that can be fully dissembled in all brass so hits great.

i would order one of those but I'm not confident in the 510 threads. the others in the same catagory have stripped out. is the connector replaceable?

I think that's only an issue with the aluminum ones. I have the all brass V3 Sentinel and no issues with the 510 connection.

I'm satisfied with PD too. It's slightly better than Samsung ICR18650-26F and CGR18650CH. But it's not better than NCR18650B in a VV/VW. It drops faster and doesn't last as long.

As far as safety goes NCR18650A can handle a hard short better than CGR18650CH and IMR, but it seems to shut down somewhat to do it so I'm not sure if it would handle all mech usages because I don't know where it draws the line between high drain and a short. I've heard they have an 8a limit. If I could confirm that I'd probably use those if I get into using mechs for more than oxidizing mesh (I wonder if they would even work to oxidize mesh), otherwise I'd probably use my PDs or CGR for mech stuff.

Vmod and reo grand.

So mechs.
Still don't know your planned usage (sub-ohm, etc.).
Limiting it to FastTech, NCR18650PD and CGR18650CH should be at least nearly as safe as AW IMR 18650.
If you're not planning on pushing the limits NCR18650A would be the safest that I know of, but if you are pushing the limits it may not do it. I have no idea whether the other NCR18650's react to a short like the A does. I just know videos I saw of CGR, IMR and NCR-A being shorted had me thinking if one was to be shorting out in my pocket I'd want it to be the NCR-A.

Agreed, the threading and performance on my brass v3 is pretty good. Personally,i would stay away from aluminum due to it's durability issue (threads will get stripped and get worn). Looks like I got another pick up
