Everything EXCEPT banks and the postal service will be shut down ... Just placed an order late last night/early this morning, scheduled to ship 1/23/14, and showing a status of "waiting to be packaged". I ordered one of the Crystal inlaid Magneto clones, and a sweet drip tip
I used think this was a bit gawdy based on FT photos, which are never an accurate representation of what the product looks like in real life. 
I have decided to call this one "The Diddy mod"

What's the drama with Fat Daddy Vapes? I try not to read the FT forums. A little too... unpredictable for me.
Also, what does the upgrade kit do?
I try not to read the FT forums, but it has saved me from making many bad purchases. He repeatedly said the FT nemesis magnets were no good, and that only he was selling the right ones, telling folks about his stuff on Ebay. It was pretty jerky.
I'd tell you all about it, or you can search Ebay for what I had in quotes, I didn't mean to advertise for him. That said, it was a nice upgrade.
I hope he's wrong about the ft magnets, I have some on the way. And I'll vouch for the nemesis. It's been my main mod since I got it. Solid.

I bought mine from DealExtreme. They work fine. Out of the 10 I got I gave 4 away, broke 2, and am using the other 4. Not bad for $4.
FYI. FT has posted the the KFL renamed the Russian91, price of $20.99 was an error but it looks like they are going to honor it for those that purchased, but no price fix for others.
"FDV" did say the Deal Extreme magnets might work, but that the FT magnets would require 3. A few FT reviews confirm this. I've also seen a recommendation of putting a shim beneath the bottom magnet, making it closer to the top one and possibly only requiring 2. This would have the same effect as 3 magnets, it takes up too much space and the magnets could hit each other before the bottom pin hits the battery. Then you need to unscrew the bottom pin to reduce button throw, which risks it unscrewing further and firing constantly. I don't know how big of a risk it would be, but I know I don't like loose bottom pins, been there, done that.
What I really wanted were Super Magnet Man magnets, he has just the right size. His magnets are top notch. I wasn't the first to think of him, that size is sold out and will be on back order for a few more weeks.
What does this mean. Gives an eta for a product that was in stock. And the order is waiting to be packaged.

I just had an order for a Vamo V5 SS placed early on the 21st showing as shipped.
Its my first FT order to go China post so if it gets out of the country maybe it will be here in a couple of weeks. Its a late Christmas present for my brother who is a member here, I hope he likes it.
Even though the finish probably won't last I really like the looks of the black chrome model.

All FT packages go through "waiting for packaging". It is a very short period of time and you have to catch it at just that time to have it show that message.

I don't think a little honey rather than vinegar ever hurts. I didn't even try to get a credit as my package had already shipped prior to the name change and price drop on Sunday/Monday. It appears that CS reps were following SOP and crediting those who bought at the higher price and whose item hadn't yet shipped. But, it now appears that FT determined that the lower price was a mistake and that the price should have never been lowered. The statement that I quoted from FT seems to be saying that they will honor all orders made during the time the item was erroneously listed at the lower price (and I assume all credit corrections given during that time), but that they wouldn't be making anymore adjustments as technically, there was not an intentional price reduction and the price should have always been $26.70.
