UNLESS someone filibusters, like, right? We need to find the most loquacious senator or whatever and pay him a lot to discuss the bill, read from the phone book, you know.
What bill do you mean? The proposed $2700/liter tax on nic base?

More context would be useful here.

ANY but sure THAT. I was talking to the husband over yoga and I asked him to look up the longest filibuster! AND you get pee breaks, beverages and even meals! It was just like 10 minutes UNDER 24 hours or something!

I am so disappointed in these senators dude, because like that's LAME. I expected at LEAST 3 days. Oh you also get to eat. Not that I would really want to I don't think.

I bet the standing is the hardest part so maybe I would TAKE meal breaks, but I bet there's no rule I can't do yoga stretches at the podium at the same time.

I mean, freaking COUPLES like, isn't there a show where they have to touch something for "the longest" to get the freaking "wedding of their dreams" even THEY go longer than 24 hours and they ARGUE the whole time, too.

So yeah, you know, I could be deployed at any time. Once. I'd have to get elected though, and that would be... .tough.

I was on the road today. Only 450 miles, but I have to have some excuse why I almost missed the fact that today is November 11th. That means we have

SIX months left until the PMTA deadline.
If the last couple of months looked like a buying frenzy, just wait until next spring. I expect I'll be right in the middle of it even though I really don't need anything else.

Yeah, I think the state-level bans and Trump's posturing were a real wake-up call for people. Having been ready since 2016, it's amusing to watch the frenzy. Even some people who said they were ready in 2016 are engaged in it. I suppose they're using it as an excuse for shinyitis, something I've developed an immunity to.

BTW folks, with the onset of truly cool weather over the last few days, if anyone still needs nicotine, now would be a good time to get it.

I thought I was set in 2016 and I might could have made it. I was also very broke in 2016 and my setup was less than optimal. What I am doing now is getting myself setup better since I can afford to do that now. Though honestly I am done and set now. Anything else is shinyitis at this point.

I consider 2016 as a test run. Gear is better now than it was then, so why not update at least some of it if you can.

I’ve had Shinyitis since the day I started vaping...but rather a stockpile of squonks than IPV5s and other stuff that was hot on the market in 2016. I ended up PIF some of my 2016 stash due to complacency and a false sense of security. I’m just glad I’m able to build a vapeocalypse box, especially now that my knowledge has grown over the years.

I stocked up pretty well in 2016, considering I had limited funds to work with. I did that through a lot of clearance sales. I'm sure I could have gotten by with what I stocked up, but I would have really had to stretch the nic. So I'm very glad to have the chance to get a couple more liters. Plus some 20700/21700 mods. I'm also buying a few tanks that I really wanted back then but couldn't afford. Now those are the ones on clearance. :D

My 2016 stockup was pretty inexpensive and adequate. After winning a Wotofo Flux kit in 2018 I found I really enjoyed those mesh coils and big clouds at times, so a new stock of tanks, coils and higher powered hardware joined the hoard. A few more liters of nic too. I also had adequate funds to get a few fun things this time, where in 2016 it was very tight. Glad to have both hoards!

I'm kind of hoping not to find anything that improves my vaping experience for fear I will have to undergo another thorough restocking program. :)

Yep. I'd just replied earlier today in another thread about pods. I loved my Vladdin, but lost it a couple of weeks ago. With May rapidly approaching, I'm not going to replace it. Can't see loading up on backups & replacement pods.

I don't want to be attached to anything that likely won't be available in June. I'll wait to see what things look like then before trying anything new.

I posted this in another thread, but it is probably more appropriate here:

This is the exact opposite of what I had thought anyone in power would recommend: Gottlieb, former FDA head, calls for a full ban on pod-based e-cigarettes

Ban disposable pods, but keep refillable tanks, RDAs, RTAs....
Since the only power he has now is working for the pharmaceutical industry, I don't trust anything he says.
Sure ban the pods, knowing RDAs and RTAs would never get PMTA approval.
I doubt China will file a PMTA for any RDAs or RTAs.
    Hope I'm wrong.

True.. he has no power. I just wonder about his mindset and if that is where the FDA's head is at. But I agree, the chances of smaller companies filing PMTAs even on mods with tanks and coils is probably slim to none.
